You are spot on. Compare this to Tayor. This had to be addressed.

Men don't work from home.
This wouldn't bother me if it was labeled and marketed for Genesis 9 Female.
Are you saying that men are not allowed to pose seductively while working from home?
The courtyard looks nice:
https://www.daz3d.com/kuj-courtyard
It does, very nice.
It certainly does.
Under Details it is written:
"On an ordinary afternoon, the brilliant sunlight spills into this quiet courtyard.
I hope such a scene can bring you a moment of peace"
Such a sweet sentiment. Before I read it, I was thinking that this courtyard might have resembled Tolstoy's home, where he came to the realization of the Truth.
I needed a product from that day for a discount, having already bought the item from that day I had wanted. I had looked at the poses and had been iffy about them. As a woman, who had a teen and later adult son and we both worked from home, me for my job, my son for high school and later college I can only react to them from my experience. For me I need desk tops, multiple monitors, and a decent chair and room for paperwork. This means sitting poses. But there was a time I was recovering from foot surgery for two to four months (surgery had to be redone), so I was in bed with a laptop on a hospital table that rolled over my bed. I was editing then. My son had to use a desktop and later a laptop, where he sat on the couch and hunched over on the coffee table which raised up. And the TV was right in front of him. Neither of us laid on the floor, put our feet up on tables or any weird poses.
But, for those of you who have raised children/teens with laptops or pads in the past 20 years, are these poses more typical of primary through high school age kids now? Some I thought might be easily adjusted for masculine figures, based upon a recent thread discussion.
I am buying this to use for younger characters, not necessarily adults or even college students. I think I can modify any that are a bit too sexy for the younger set.
Valid response, and I thank you for that.
My issue is that Genesis 9 was pitched and marketed as being a unisex base, the vast majority of products for it are made for female figures, and there is no gendered filters available to sort for things that aren't aimed at female figures.
Could I potentially use some of these poses for a male character? Sure.
Am I going to buy a product the creator that does not seem to be interested in selling to me? No, I'm not. I have other sets I can adjust to meet my needs for this kind of thing. I know I'm in the minority, that's been made very clear over the past 3 years.
This. Those poses were not typical masculine poses.
I have a nonbinary, sometimes flamboyant 8th grader... some of these poses look familiar (just sitting "normal" on a chair has never been a thing for them) but some of the poses are terribly precarious with that laptop and would be a hard nope. Definitely not the legs up ones, but that might just be my particular kid. (ETA: Or the sexy ones, obvs.)
My 8-year-old, on the other hand, plays with his tablet** in every possible position you could imagine, and some you probably couldn't until you see him do it. His favorite is flat on his back, with his his tablet balanced on his feet over his head. (His legs are crooked enough for him to reach to tap it.) Amazingly, he doesn't drop it on his face. Doesn't look at all comfortable to me, but I'm also not 8-year-old levels of flexible anymore.
Both my kids are neurodivergent, so I'm not sure if that plays into it at all.
**He only has a tablet, not a laptop, as a tablet in a case is the level of not-easily-breakable he requires at this point.
Thank you @Timbales, @jmucchiello and @SilverGirl for your input. I have bought a number of 3DSugar & Associates pose sets and I often find I maybe only use, three or five of them per set (?). Even when using them on adults, I find the overly sexy ones not useful. But for the few I do use, I also don't find arms traversing a body during a simulation, so that is a bonus for me. I also have some sets that have been extremely useful for me, such as https://www.daz3d.com/sweet-friends-for-genesis-9. Those I have been able to use for mixed ages.
But for the guys, yeah I look to other PAs for masculine poses. But even there, some of them can be repetitive and only sexy or model poses and not common functions. Yes there are some, but some of the 'male' poses also look a little to 'feminine' to me. This seemed to start in G8.1. This is an area that really needs improvement. Kind of like masculine clothing. So I won't hold my breath.
So I buy a lot of varied poses to have what I need when I need it. I have limited time and suck at posing.
Mary
As an obese adult male, I've used most of the poses depicted in the picture when I'm using my computer at my desk or scrolling through my phone in bed...
I want to give Mechasar a huge shout-out to their new product; https://www.daz3d.com/master-swordsmith-for-genesis-9-and-8
I really wish all products could offer such adjustable versatility.
I believe that whether a product is made with care or is shoddy will affect consumers' willingness to buy. Such meticulous quality should be the benchmark for the industry.
Especially in the last few months, I feel there are more and more products being added to make up the numbers.
My - admittedly sarcastic - point was that women don't normally pose like that when working from home either.
True, we sit, stand, crash, ... whatever. No one set will be exactly as we live really. But I would like something that is close or realistic. I am more than happy to use older poses that meet my needs with Pose Minions. And I have bought some great ones in Generation 4, G2, G3, G8/G8.1 and yes G9. But the issue with the blur between male and female poses I wish was more distinctive.
"Until now! Now, any woman can pose seductively when working from home with the new https://www.daz3d.com/work-from-home-poses-and-props-for-genesis-9. Available in fine Daz asset shops near you."
Who else immediatelly thought Mushrooms?
Stonemason has been a busy bee. Great stuff
Stonemason's Porto Bella looks amazing. I'm more into medieval stuff, but put it nevertheless instantly on my wishlist.
I passed up https://www.daz3d.com/architectural-house when it came out in November 2025 because it had a staircase to nowhere and I have too mny assets with stairs to nowhere.
Had I known https://www.daz3d.com/architectural-house-second-floor was coming, I might have purchased it then.
The worst part is, sales haven't included November 2025 releases yet that I'm aware of.
I wonder if Tesla3DCorp is planning an Architectural House Yard and Gardens.
And, sure, I could have asked here. It didn't occur to me at the time.
Check out the scale of the chairs in relation to the other furniture. Something is off. I didn't buy the first set, and as I looked at the second set, the furniture turned me off. This is disappointing. I have many of Tesla3dCorp's buildings and they are okay. But this is weird. Maybe it is just the renders for the promos?
Normally I would ignore "G8 Male" offers but bundles are included in the sale. A bundle might contain stuff that makes an extra G8 Male worth the discount. There are 188 bundles in the list... That might be more than I have time to look through. LOL
Can you just not re-scale the items to suit your requirements?
The vendor didn't hold out much hope last year when I asked if this product were forthcoming, but 371 days later, here it is! So appreciative! Bought!
https://www.daz3d.com/absinthe-ritual-set
An interesting and very beautiful set but sadly, it's got its liquids wrong. The fountain holds water which drips through the sugar cube into the glass of absinthe and makes it cloudy like ouzo. Fortunately it won't be difficult to make new materials for the water and the louche (what the liquid in the glass is called upon mixing with water.
now Martin Frost needs to model some wormwood plants or a collection of interesting herbs
https://www.daz3d.com/fg-herbalist-room has dried
Ooo, I didn't see that set, will have to get it...and yes, some interesting herbs would be nice
*cough* chives *cough*
For the record, this thread has a list of various existing products which include herbs: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/700916/herb-garden
(more would definitely be welcome of course)
