In the early 2000s I bombarded various sites with terrible renders of various super heros.

f you're into some savings, todays deal isn't too bad, the 5 for 85% off with a new release from today. Its also close to March Madness. The GC sale is up today, although its a bit light in the amount of discount.
I wonder if the "Pre March Madness Gift Card Sale" indicates that March madness may start a week early.

I still haven't used up my DO coupon for the month, so I would certainly welcome it if those happened to take a nice price dip over the next week. Overall, though, I can't say I'm excited. Last year I spent less than $15 for the whole sale. I'd be happy to be proven wrong, but if not, at least there's QG.
Yes, it started around the last week of February. It may have gone long too. There were several Flashbacks to MM promos too in 2025.
Assuming that you actually want one of today's new releases, that is. I'm beginning to get annoyed at how badly thought out some of the new products are these days, ie: Kujira's Lab set that has an "airlock" which ridiculously has easy open push-pull double doors (which are neither secure or airtight) on both sides of the clean room airlock, Polish's perfume store that has no cash register, and are my eyes deceiving me or the promo pictures poorly chosen, or does Dreamlight's 2.5D scene actually have out of focus textures? I might have been tempted on the Oxford casual set, except the artist released the same outfit but made for G8m over a month ago...
If you look at the last few promo pics (the ones showing that it's basically four panels with a little rock island in the middle of the water) they look in focus, so I'm guessing a depth of field thing was in play for the other promo shots. (Personally I detest DOF, but to each their own.)
Last year March Madness started February 24th and finished (sort of - there were partial catchups later) April 14th
DIM has an orange promo banner that says "March Madness Tomorrow! Gift Card Today!" MM literally starts tomorrow, or stars soon? We shall See!
I like https://www.daz3d.com/my-laboratory (in the WL) better, even though it is lacking in equipment (don't worry I have plenty) and doesn't have much better doors. It also has a funny Easter Egg - in one promo, the lab computer monitor shows a Daz3d store page! (I hope that is included.)
Doors aside, that airlock area in the Kijira set isn't big enough to be useful. Those spaces are also gowning/ungowning and scrubbing areas, at least for bio-clean rooms. The ones I used had built in stools (usually), and sinks, in a marked off part just before the inner doors - which were tougher to open. Most of these could accommodate several people. This space, barely room for one tech - and no stools, sinks, disposable sterile clothing, antibacterial soap dispensers, no nothing. (Fun fact: antibacterial liquid soap WILL grow bacteria if some idiot adds plain old water instead of more soap when it runs low!)
the only thing I would buy would be the African headware. I still play some cart jenga, and most of the items in that sale are around 3 or less, for me, but I'm base and havent puchased anything since 31 December, so no tokens. There are a few nice items in that sale group.
A new release plus a gift card to bring to total over $100 gives 19% discount on the card...
I'm not seeing that in my DIM.
Thanks for pointing it out! I didn't see it or maybe didn't notice it when I used DIM in the early hours this morning.
Actually, those "sharp" images were the ones I noticed the most for being out of focus as there's no apparrent definition on any of the bushes or shrubbery. Now part of that may be that there's an lower res image of a plant being mapped over a surface that's modeled like a rock surface, but if the promotional artist couldn't manage to get a really clean image even in the behind the scenes ovarhead shot, I'll just pass, thank you.
As for the Labs... yes, Jefferson's is pretty spartan and odd, but at least the doors there are obviously just security doors with a key-coded lock rather than a faux airlock that looks like two sets of doors from a supermarket mounted on a thin plexiglass box. TBH having a month-long sale due to basketball and alliteration makes absolutely no sense to me, so I already think they're mad. =P
The original March madness was frisky hares, hence the March hare in Alice in Wonderland.
...back in 2011 when Brigham Young University was in the NCAA March Madness tournament. Each time they advanced to the next level, Daz offered a coupon. They made it to the round of 16 where they were defeated by Florida in overtime, so only two of potentially 5 coupons had they made it to the finals (possibly 6 if they won it all).

My first real test of the new year. Do I fall victim to March Madness or allow it to just quietly pass. If I fall, it means I would have to resubscribe to Premium, as it just seems a more bang for the buck type of membership. So already basically 20 bucks into it, that once that happens the sales gimmicks have to be addressed. Need to figure out if I can just wait until March and keep this month purchase free. You know, over this last month plus, I have nearly totally weaned myself off purchasing so much, but this MM starting up already has me head spinning.

One of my neighbors was born in Ireland, but has lived in the US since the time of the Vietnam war.
He's been teaching a class on Irish history. i told him my great grandmother came to the US during the Great Irish Potato Famine.
I wanted to show him my records, but must have lost them.
He's at least be interested in seeing the Callahan family's records.
Same, there's a 50-50 chance I blow my Castlevania Dominus Collection money one more Genesis 8 stuff tomorrow.
