Installed both Carrara & Bryce no problems. Don't have the space to load all of the addons for both so they will be minimal installs.

Woohoo - a mate dropped in and tried starting SPWAW a different way then the ways I tried - it's now working !

No email yet from the company that made my CAD program. I bought it as a perpetual licence in 2013, I expect that they will honour new activation codes. If not I will no longer do any business with them, and buy a replacement CAD program from elsewhere.

sometimes my brain thinks of something and stuns me cheeky

I broke the knob on a glass saucepan lid weeks ago and have been awkwardly lifting it off with a fork in the hole

today I found a wine bottle cork in my drawer and the gears started grinding

grabbed a washer and screw and screwed it into the cork through the hole on the lid

    now I have a knob

Long ago I was driving a car with a three speed transmission, column shifter.  All of a sudden, it went completely limp, would not click into any gear.  I climbed under the car, then asked my riding buddy for his shoelace.  He gave it to me, I climbed back under the car for a minute, then off we drove with the shifter working fine.  He was kind of amazed, I had to explain about cotter pin linkages ... cheeky

Anyone watching the debacle with posercloth over at rendero forum? Just like Carrara users with bullet physics and clothes ... bit sad

after they had an awesome cloth system taken away, I really cannot blame them

I wish I could get VWD to work again in Carrara on Win10,  so know the feeling

my Win7 where it mostly, not always worked, isn't booting up

wishlisted later version but never goes on sale

too much risk it won't work to pay full price

Philemo's bridge works in a pared down extension load of Carrara, its VWD itself freezing

DAZ studio Dforce Inagoni imported Sagan exported obj series are frigging massive folders of files but my only option

    and Dforce sucks

Vwd didn't work for me for ages, then suddenly it did... no idea why, havnt tried it for a while though, used it extensively fir a show I had in 2018, presently been using blender sculpt brush to get clothing to sit properly on  my 3d prints

Sounds like there's a movie plot in there, e.g. the 48 Hour Film contest, scifi genre.   Or dark comedy.  Or spy/espionage.  enlightened

I could never work out how to use my trail cam and it just stays strapped to the back decking doing nothing! no

mine worked fine but I don't want it sending my feed, GPS location, temperatures and times to China angry

iOS app randomly updated and was going to share data to "improve" F knows what, not my experience

    mine is this one..

not worth it at all... if more that a couple of metres away from it I lose wifi connectivity as it has it's own wifi and doesn't connect to my own wifi.

The spiders like crawling over it though.

You sound almost as paranoid as I am.  frown

I no longer use a laptop and do not own a web cam.  But I recall putting a piece of tape over my laptop webcam years ago.  I didn't want my good looks giving Brad Pitt competition ... wink

not sure how shadow puppets are computer graphics

    but definitely cool

much pre digital filmed stuff was such as claymotion, stopmotion, marionettes etc

what is fascinating about the CGI though is no digital files actually exist

a lot of that early stuff too was apparently filmed off a very lowrez CRT screen after entering number arrays into the computer for it to perform

    not actually stored

Yes, I was thinking "animation" rather than strictly CGI.  so "Generated Imagery", GI.  cheeky
