Oh my gosh, Richard causes so much trouble.

Also, I am so flattered to see my life reflected, along with so many other great people, with such wonderfully insane humor!

    Oops - Collision

As Richard flew through Ron's apartment door, he ran right into the UPS man delivering Ron's new clothes and portrait painting supplies. I hope nothing was breakable. Of course, Richard probably blames this unfortunate collision on the delivery man. Any cat could have heard the ruckus inside the apartment and known to back away from an opening door. Tsk tsk. Humans! Always in the wrong place at the wrong time.

You are of course correct. Though my main concern is that all those lovely boxes not be damaged.

The thing is, if you arrange for the UPS man to be flat on the floor, all the boxes will have a soft landing. Regards, Richard.

I hope my apartment gets straightened out quickly.

I have three lady friends coming over to my apartment on Thursday!

That's a huge step for me. We'll be having Scotch on the Rocks, Coors Lite beer, and some snacks that should arrive today.

At least two of the women are old enough to be my mother. But they're fun.

We've eaten lunch together most every day for a year or so.

And two of those friends have been taking art classes with me as well

    Ron Cleans Up

Ron: I've got to finish cleaning up this mess before my lady friends come over tomorrow. I never liked that blah gray rug anyway. Out it goes, along with the empty solvent can. I tried to vacuum up all those hair and tinsel pieces, but some are stuck down in the melted floor finish. This job is tougher than I thought it would be. Maybe I should take a break for a glass - or two -  of Scotch on the Rocks. I hope Richard Haseltine got home OK. I've saved some empty boxes for him. I do appreciate his critique of my painting; too bad it was interrupted by the unfortunate solvent spill.

I loved this story before you added me to it. Now I love it all the more.

It reminds me of the old movie serials, like Perils of Pauline.

Now if tomorrow's plans go well, I'll have 4 women in my apartment.

I haven't had guests over to my apartment since 1975. Of couse I've moved to different places over the decades.

Now, watch Richard show up to wreak havoc.

Well, Richard once told me that it was a cat's job to cause trouble - not to get into trouble, but to cause trouble. However I don't think Richard ever really intends to cause trouble here. It is just inherent in his nature. And he is so good at it! I think Jack is still working on fixing his driveway after Richard rode the "Pogo stick" jackhammer down the length of it.

Hmm, a pogoing cat - that ought to give Ron's lady friends a conversation starter. On the other hand, getting the pogo stick up there might be tricky.

I've been telling my friends about this wonderful adventure.

They say barbult is doing a wonderful job. And they get a kick out of seeing me in a story.

Also they appreciate having an insight into interactions between artists and correlation to the forum.

I explained how Richard the Cat is also moderator in the forums. Richard sometimes steps in to moderate my behavior!

    laugh

I've been working on a series of "one-off" one page cartoons initially inspired by our recent conversation about having chicken almost every day for lunch.

They've been giving me suggestions like having a yard full of dead chickens.

The farmer says "we gotta do something with all these chickens!"

I'd suggest you take the elevator, but I think Jack has locked up the jackhammer and hidden the key. After your adventure, he was concerned about what ideas you may have given Milly. By the way, he also hid the trumpet and drum you gave her.

I hope your friends aren't sensitive if they show up in a render under less than ideal circumstances! It could happen. Nobody escapes without a little teasing, it seems. Jack and Richard (subjects of this thread) get the brunt of it, of course.
I am also not immune to Richard's forum moderation. At least he is a good sport about my "artistic endeavors" here and even participates with comments, to my delight.

After all, they've tolerated me at lunch for 4 years.

That reminds me of a couple of lines from a comedy stand-up sketch by  Jasper Carrot about his mother-in-law driving - she's never been IN an accident, but' she's SEEN hundreds :)

Since they're in a DAZ universe, maybe a 'Dupicate Node' device would be a nice gift for Milly. Who knows what fun she could have with one of those,  it might even work on cats as well as Jackhammers, trumpets and suchlike.

We had a great get-together today. Two out of four women showed up.

These are women who I've eaten lunch with for up to four years. We get along great together.,

These women helped me break out of my "hermit shell," and blossum out into a..... I'm too drunk to finish the sentence,

We had a great time. The woman who I connect with the best is 10 years older than me. That doesn't seem to be an obstacle.

We're old people. Our gathering started around 3PM, and was over by 5PM.

I'll probably have another few drinks of Scotch on the Rocks, and try to do some DAZ Studio silly art.

This was a momentous time for me, and it went well.

Oh, and Richard didn't show up...yet.

I don't think you were wrong though. Richard will probably arrive later, after the rest of you are all drunk. I'm sure he really is a cat.Only a cat could be that clever and witty.

Oh, you tricked me there for a couple minutes! My husband likes to buy cheap junk at Temu. I thought maybe Orinoco was another of those sites. Then it clicked. Oh, big river in South America, I get it. You clever cat!

Oh I like that idea. She could start a whole band when she gets some siblings. What would we do with multiple Richards, though? One is almost too much to handle. It would be interesting to explore, though. I'll have to let the thought simmer.

    Party On!

Ron entertained a couple neighbor ladies with booze and snacks. After a couple hours, they were all a bit drunk, but partying on.

Love it. That woman with the "bun" hair looks especially bombed and thoughtful, or confused.

I think she's had a few too many. She's probably already feeling the ill effects. You'd better make sure she gets home OK - hopefully just down the hall.
I bought this just for this render. It is very well made and has lots of options. I'm very pleased with it. I was going to make a bigger bevy of women, but my graphics card could only deal with these two and you.

    Snake!!

Richard made his way home to wash the solvent off of his body. His tail was "normal" looking again - no more tinsel or LEDs. They were all washed off by the solvent in Ron's apartment. Such an unfortunate accident.

Richard Haseltine (entering the home he shared with his girlfriend, Lola):  I'm home. Lola, there's a snake on your neck! Don't worry, I'll get it!

Richard leaped into the air to attack the snake at Lola's neck.

Lola (snatching Richard mid-flight): Richard, STOP! It's only jewelry. It's the latest Fabiana creation. I just had to have it. Hey, what happened to your tinsel tail?!

Richard Haseltine (hanging his head, could only say one word): solvent.

I'm Gonna Wash That Solvent Right Outta My Hair

Since Richard learned that he was an excellent swimmer, he is no longer afraid of water. Off to the bathroom he goes, to wash away the solvent all over his body.

Richard Haseltine: This steam jacuzzi is great. I only used one bottle of Lola's bubble bath. I hope that was enough.
