    It would seem that Daz put a limit on Lightning Deals.I was getting lots of things for 92% and 94% off in there. Usually at least a couple each round if not more. Now for the last 2 days they have all been 79% off, none ever go higher than that. It doesn't make sense, especially with Premier membership and GS active. Did anyone else notice this?

Ironically, PayPal is linked to that same card, so it's an extra unneeded step

    ...well so much for Premiere as I don't have a CC  only a bank issued Debit card.  I cancelled my PayPal account many years ago after a hack and never went back to it as I would hear people were having issues with it processing purchases.

    Well, mine has been 72% off, but I am not Premier...

    I think sometimes LD has crossover with the artists/categories in the active sale, boosting the discount. I'm also currently seeing 79% off for all items in Lightning Deals. (For reference, I'm currently Premier with a gold star.)

    In other news, hoping for a giftcard sale soon. March Madness has been spendy so far, glad to finally get some of the rarer items on my wishlist.

    Lightning Deals are pulled from non Daz+ Daz Originals older than around a year (at least that what I'm observing, but due to the randomness of LDs, maybe the age threshold is lower).

    They are around 16000 non Daz+ Daz Originals out of the ~22000 Daz Originals available on the store. No idea how many of them are older than one year.

    Today, only ~1500 of DOs are on sale, and only a subset of these are eligible to be Lightning Deals. Each LD likely have around 1 chance out of 13-14 to be on sale, and so, able to end with a 90+ discount.

    Last week-end, I think they were over 10k Daz Originals in the Mad Artist Store so likely around 2 chances out 3 for a LD to get a 90+ discount.

    I had to cut my Daz budget hard this year, so I keep emptying cartfuls of nice-to-haves. But I'll still bite if the price is right / I have use for the items. MM mileage may vary depending on your art projects & what's already in your library - 5 weeks is a long sale if it's not ticking boxes.

    Well, if they cap the discount on LDs, that'll certainly save me the bother of hitting the button every three hours to see if a pellet drops out of the chute this time.

    Still haven't spent anything in MM.  Looking forward to this dull sale to be over and get back to regular sales that are much better. Why can't they give us $1.99-$2.49 NEW items as door prizes like they did in the past? I bought something pretty much daily then. The old items available to me are so old, 3Delight old and they've remained the same throughout the whole sale!

    Mine've been mostly 72% off (D+), and I just got a couple that are 89%.

    "Work" as "work in general", it will because everything 3Delight, unless it's some specific custom shader (for instance, the toon shader), works on Iray—but you better convert it for more control/quality. Now... "Work" as in "work well," I don't know... The stone walls probably will even without conversion (of course, converting it, you'll be able to make it look better and according to your tastes), but I'm not sure about the snow because I never rendered anything snowy... I guess, though, you can always copy the shaders from another snowy product and/or change the textures...

    Wendy mentioned procedural textures, so it probably wouldn't look right out of the box. Well, I decided to get it today at the doorbuster price out of curiosity and see what I can do with it. wink

    So out of the box with the skydome turned down/off and a sky HDRI, this is what we get in Iray preview... Eek!! So the shader on the ruins, and the patchy snow shaders on the steps and terrain is really just 3Delight only. BUT we have some terrain and modeled ruins, so now to mess around...

    I threw some medieval brick shaders on the ruins with extra displacement/roughness and a dirt layer, plus an extra snow layer on the terrain - and it's okay-ish. Not quite sold on it - I have to tweak things more if I can. (I'm just showing Iray previews - no full renders)

    With atmosphere, snow fall, tone mapping etc., we can get something more interesting, at least at distance. I think I can work with this. wink

    Oh! Sorry! Didn't notice that thing about procedural textures. But amazing job you did! It looks perfect to me.

    I think there is an age threshold around one year because I started to see Genesis 9 producs in LDs around the first year anniversary of Genesis 9, and then, bundles started to appear in my LDs when they were around or over one year old.

    Having said that, I do have an LD which is currently part of the Mad Artist Store 70%: it's price is under the $3 minimal price with just the 60% LD extra discount and goes under $2 with the 30% extra discount with a MNR, so I don't think Daz introduced a limit on how low a LD can get while we were not watching.

    Oh... Sorry! I had those "Mad Door Prizes" products in my mind! No idea why I mixed up... You're right. LDs are a completely different thing... No idea how it's selected, if it's random or what... I usually don't check them because, unless there's another sale and discounts stack up, they're usually not that cheap... And, since they rotate all the time, I usually forget about them. It's usually when I'm closing a cart and ned to complete it with some other item to reach the token threshold, but it's rare when I find a good LD opportunity.

    Last fall through December, I started tracking what I was offered as LDs, just out of curiosity. Not every LD set, of course, just when I checked. Here is the raw numbers. Numbers in () are larger bundles - Pro, Starter, Themed. The generations include hairs, poses, clothing, & characters/figures. (If it was for multiple generations I used the most recent.)     Good question.  Besides the Wednesday Addams cosplay in the promo pics, I dunno what makes it gothic but I dig the expressions and it's a pretty low price.  I might pick it up today.

    I have that, the magnolia tree thing, and an older product, a wood stove at 60% off extra, Wood Stove Living | Daz 3D. It's $1.30 in my cart with no coupons or tokens. The stove can be used in a few scenes I've been setting up.

    Hmph, The recently mad releases have had their 30% discount  that normaly lasts for 2 weeks reduced to 25% nono

    Probably for the same reason, for the training gym  and the changing room being included?!? It's not a Fight Club replica, but more some modern gladiator arena. I'd never use/need that product, but it looks really cool.
