    waiting for my groceries delivery. 'plaint - so hungree >.< feels like my stomach is punching me


    been searching for hi res pic of traditional Thai dance outfit. can't make out the details


    thinkin bout what to eat first. yumma. prolly some potato salad first. 10:14. sposed to be here by 12:

    I wish we had groceries delivered to the house. That isn't available here. The closest we can get to that is order from Amazon.

    it's nicer than waiting for the taxi to show up.


    i can't find the expiration or sell by date on the Elmo juice. can't help but wonder if theys deliberately making it harder to find

    :cheese: stoufer frozen lasagna in the oven. oven timer ticking away
    the wai ay ting is the hardest part


    remember in waterworld, he's recycling his pee to drinking water? why would it be harder to separate the ocean water from salt?

    Truly sad day. He was an exquisite bassist. Fragile and Close to the Edge were part of my early learning and practice when I picked up bass.
    A great loss for the music world. And I'm sure many dear friends and family will miss him dearly.

    Morning. Dull lit day under a monotonous grey overcast, radio is calling out the coolest winter for years but I'm complaining the tedium of days that feel like nights :)

    Separating salt from water uses energy, minimum about 1 KW/hour per cubic meter of water from memory. Oh yes, memory iz good:

    There is a supermarket at the end of our street but we still buy groceries on the internet :lol:

    Looks like the instancing think will work out, pity I don't have a composition plan in mind, brain feels too mushy to come up with anything :lol:

    did the price of dairy go up everywhere?
    quart of light cream 3.99 yesterday, supermarket brand. coulda sworn was 3 bucks last month


    when i went to Galway for vacay, my b&b was cross street from a dairy. freshest coffee cream ever :) moooo

    what a difference. my hd is quiet and PF Usage down about 300mb. considering my netbook only has a gig. 300 less of page swapping.

    i'm assuming the google chrome stuck those there. keeping a watch on my scheduler from now on.
    had to install a newer browser, da doesn't work with old safari.

    can't believe how quiet nows. wowww

    Got 2 Bryce goodies.. fun times ahead! :cheese:

    I'm hoping to sit down this weekend and spend some quality time in Bryce.. I need to get up to speed on it and it's a complex beast. :bug:

    4th this weekend, will have my ritual beer and hot dogs! :coolsmile:

    New shoes bought Saturday breaking in nicely... good fit, and comfy. :)

    ...didn't get the torridly hot temps over the weekend due to an unexpected cloud cover., however it didn't feel al the comfortable as cloudy conditions were accompanied by almost "Midwest like" humidity . Even placing the fan in the bedroom door didn't help much.

    Gave up on rendering as system core temps are running 10° - 12° higher than normal because of the muggy conditions and higher ambient temperatures in my flat. Opening all the panels and even putting the fan right in front did little to help (maybe 2° - 3° at best).

    Back to sunny conditions today and highs in the mid to upper 90s through the rest of the week. (no 100s though - at least for now).

    Still no contact from my support sources. Managing to eke through as best I can. Even tea is expensive these days, 2.45$.

    Bummer about Chris Squire. Saw Yes in New Orleans back in the 70s. Favourite album is Close to the Edge which I have on the heavy Mobile Fidelity 180gm Vinyl.

    I still have three XP machines in my stable. I keep 'em for running old games and for holding duplicate archive files. They're on my internal net but I never web browse or email with them. I don't even have an A/V installed. They're turned off most of the time. They're only on when I'm playing a game or transferring an archive file. However, they do work zippedy-do fast without an A/V :cheese:

    As much TLC (and $$) that I've poured into them in the last decade, giving them all full complements of hard drives and memory, and half decent graphic cards, they are now mostly nostalgic museum pieces woken up only to play their old song. :smirk:

    I still will accept a customer for a computer fix-it job with Vista but not XP. And I'll be dropping Vista after Win10 comes out later this summer.

    ...a very good firewall can help though.

    Crikey, putting Win7 Home x32 on my notebook would cost more than the notebook is probably worth these days.

    Just need to be more diligent at practising "safe surfing" and keeping the firewall up to date..
