Control pose via MIDI file

Hello,
just a general question before I invest more time into this: would it be possible to load a MIDI-file and control an object (here: the keys of a piano) from the notes of the MIDI file?
I'm aware that it'll be tricky to parse the MIDI-file.
Or maybe someone has already done something like this? Or there's a plugin for this?
The forum search didn't find anything...

It doesn't actually work, but at least it creates a node for each MIDI-note and displays its value in the Parameters tab when I play the MIDI file/animation. That's already a good start.
Now I only have to find a simple way to somehow "connect" the rotation of my piano keys to those values.
