Two weeks-ish into this sale I have to say it's rather underwhelming... and I'm so glad!
I really needed a breather. I haven't been buying anything at all and I don't feel like I'm missing out.
The return of clearance items could make me spend again, but the selection today isn't interesting for me.
You're not the only one, I'm almost worried I won't use my PC+ coupons this month the way things are going. Just haven't seen any deals that got me excited.
Ditto, I'm picking up a single clearance item (and some freebies) today and that's it. It'll be the first purchase I've made here in nearly two weeks.
There are a couple specific items that I'm looking to buy and need to post ISO threads for (e.g. a dress shirt with a popped collar for G8M or G3M), but I've been enjoying not being enslaved to the (underwhelming to downright laughably bad) sales. Single, older "free" items requiring $25-35 buy-ins? Discounts gaining more and more tiers and still being pretty pathetic? Easy to pass on things.
On top of cutting recent spending to almost nothing, I'm unlikely to renew my PC+ membership this year. Ever since the Season Pass was introduced, SP members getting discounts that once would have gone to PC+ members, and more and more things have been exempted from our PC+ coupons, it's felt less and less like it's worth having.
Got all excited about two of today's releases. HD Baby...no thanks, 8.1 only, though I've wishlisted him. And the Hilltop Cabin...I'm a sucker for tiny houses...but? WHERE"S THE BATHROOM?! I know there's a thread about missing toilet seats but this one's missing the lot. 'Let your characters experience the freshest air imaginable while surrounded by beautiful views they won't be able to get enough of.' Especially whilst relieving oneself

Don't know about you, kyoto, but my longdrop days are well past. I do like Deepsea's compost loo in his Island Hut...a much nicer alternative to a hole in the ground.
If anyone IS buying the baby, could you please post some renders? I'm very much on the fence about him, don't much like the mouth, and there seems to be something strange going on with the eyes. But maybe this is just the promos?
Yeah, it's the gap exactly, I never noticed it with Judy so much though. Can one fix it? - I have the Deepsea toddlers, they're really lovely. I'm not sure how much more variety the baby is truly adding, and again, there's something weird about the mouth I don't like.

So, I noticed that at some point, Daz realized people Just. Aren't. Into a $25-35 buy-in for a freebie & dropped that. On the other hand, there were two* G7 pose sets on the freebie page.
Add me to the list of folks who are underwhelmed with this sale. To make it worse, the handful of items (none New) I wanted were on sale when I didn't have the money.
*there may be other recent items that I didn't see because I own them; I didn't have enough interest to log out & recheck
Yesterday I impulse-bought Mynx by Gypsy Angel. Cool character; her skin looks dated out of the box but with Anagenessis 2 it looks good.
And today's clearance is pretty great! When prices sink below $2 I start having a hard time saying no to stuff :)
There's been some great releases recently, but so far I haven't felt the urge to throw all my money at them. That's probably a good thing for my wallet. :P I've thrown all of them on my wishlist and just check each day to see if there happens to be some good clearance items I'm interested in or some new release that's so amazing that I want it right now. This is probably the first month (in many) that I haven't spent a great deal of money. If not for the monthly coupons, I wouldn't have bought anything this month (so far).

What is everyone else getting?
Mynx looks great! I considered her and then decided to pass... sigh. Grabbed a bunch of HDRIs today, some character bundles and a few of the $1.99 items. I've only been rendering for a couple of months but have spent far too much money, it's so easy to fall into collecting assets. I'm hoping Daz does a good deal on a few of the pro bundles soon so I can get some of the *ahem* missing items.
I find you have to be on the ball with the sales and have missed out on a couple of free items because I didn't notice them before putting the payment through. It's easy to do when there are so many different sale combinations going on at once.
Not buying much. The FEW things, new and old, I have been interested in, were only good deals when I wasn't able to buy. But there hasn't been much I want. Even if I was really into G8.1 and had the computer for it, I wouldn't go for the New Release deals that 1) require high buy-in & 2) are similar to deals that haven't worked right ( or as expected) for many other
The way this sale is going, I might only end up buying a Quarterly PC+ membership, to renew monthly, to be set for the later sales, which historically suit me better.

...yeah this sale has made it easy to save my zlotys for the PC+ sale next month. though I did pick up a couple cool sets on the wishlist (Night In Tokyo and Underground Bunker) the other day using a new PC+ item to unlock a 70% coupon discount.
Seems I find the "coupon offers" and "Flash Sales" more interesting than the main sale itself.

...I need more memory and at least an A4000 to render most of the Dog8 breeds because of the dForce fur. I do have the bulldog but their fur is rather short so hoping thatwon't be to much of a botehr. Wish Alessandro would do an LAMH option which is a little more render friendly.
Nice renders. I see you buy G3 and convert them to G8 too. I do the same, some of my favourite characters were only available as G3.
...wow, save for the PA stores, 2.99$ items, and Dazzy-Os, just about every special offer in Sunday's September to Remember sale involves having to buy a G8.1 bundle, or making a large purchase of 50$, to 100$ to 200$ to unlock free items and extra discounts. These sales are getting too rich for some pockets.

The not-so-free-bees are indeed a no-go. Given the quality of the bundles lately, I am just picking what I do like. And that is very little. Apart from that, I only do whishlist-shopping. Last years PA sale was much more interesting. I spent almost my total budget on that sale. I reserved quite a bit for this year. So far, I am quite disapointed. And would have quite a budget to go. But I doubt that I will see a real GOOD PA Sale this year.
