Really loved the horse and the steampunk skirt outfit. The horse looks like it could be used as a toy or as a Westworld inspired sci-fi asset.
But that skirt outfit is something else, basically, multiple skirts in one, with that option to turn the different layers on and off.
With the orange banner, the discount for the Steampunk Traveler Bundle was pretty good (down to $24.54). With the 4 free starter bundles thrown in (no, I don't have everything yet..), the total dicount on my cart ended up at 94%, which I don't see often.
The PA sales aren't bad, they're mostly okay with some exceptional deals thrown in at times. But, those exceptional deals do need to tick your boxes for things you could actually use. There have been several great deals lately which just didn't have much I fancied, so I didn't get those. That didn't make those bad sale offers, but they just weren't for me.
I hate to disapoint you; but that $15 credit was specified as only being valid for DAZ Originals.
LOL, well bummer. So then I bought the Bodega today and I got the Mrs Chow starter bundle for $10 too. Thanks for the heads up!

Does anyone know when the PA sale usually ends?
It will last the whole month, and might even extend a week or two in October
Update: today the buy-in for the "freebie" has been raised to $ 35.-
Considering all the "Freebies" we had yet during this sale were either stuff that I already had or never would intend to get anyway, this isn't so much of a problem for me.
But $ 35.- as buy-in for a $ 10.- (ish) "free item" wouldn't really worth it even IF it would be something I'd be interested in...
Well they finally had a gift card sale. So have some credit and in time for that lovely little sloop by 3djoji and an outfit from esha that will work with all her others.
I am with you all on the 'Freebies'. I have had most of them, or have absolutely no interest.
What I am finding is that with my reinstall of my database, deciding what I really need/want loaded, and what I have on my wish list, I am thinking it is time to prune the list down.

Yes, the buy in is laughable today, to put it politely. $35 for an item that is 2 or 3 years old and, IIRC, has been offered for free or < $5 multiple times meaning lots of people (like me!) already have it is a fantastic way to drive sales. (Well, not really.) Looks like my PA Sale Plan is now revised to:
1. Pick up the odd wishlist item/s if it shows up at a great price on a day when I have the cash.
2. Restart PC+ if there's another good price on a day when I have the cash. (Which, alas wasn't last weekend.)
3. Look forward to all the fall sales, and hope Daz doesn't revamp those with annoying, complex, and not working marketing ploys.
..yeah, only about 6 weeks until the PC+ Anniversary sale.
However did finally pick up Dragon 3 as a good price as well as one of the expansions. Now to try and turn it into a couple of dragon personalities from the Shadowrun game universe.
..I'm still working with a 4.12 beta which has been incredibly stable (even more so than the 4.12 general release) and have been rendering in 4.10 as the version of Iray from 4,12 was optimised for RTX cards and for older it ones sets OptiX to always "on" by default (which I discovered actually makes render times worse). I heard about the bugs in the earlier release of 4.15 and decided to avoid it. Besides, I have no interest in G8.1 (I rarely even bothered much with G8) which is primarily what it was updated for.
The Roaring 20s Bundles today are great, even if I could only afford the 20s City Scene out of all that.
Especially the new release is very "crashy" on Windows 10. I run the same version on macOS Catalina and macOS Big Sur, and it seems to be much more stable on macOS . Plus, the Win10 version is sloooooow on save. Saving a scene on Win10 is about 30 sec, same scene on macOS is about 5 sec.
...all the more reason for me to stick with 4.12 given that I have old hardware..
There have a few releases that are pretty nice but the confusing buy this to get that and the constant glitchiness of it I have not bought a thing. Plus I don't really see an advantage at all for PC+ members which is really annoying.
Huh, glad to hear I'm not the only one having problems with this release on Windows 10. It crashes ... a lot. I noticed the slow saves as well.
I've filed a ticket with technical support asking if they can give me a link to an older (stable!) version of the software, so we'll see if that works. I have heard, however, that they're sometimes reluctant to do this.
The moral is, if you have a version of DAZ Studio that works well on your system, keep a copy of the installers so you can go back to it when the latest'n'greatest version acts all squirrelly.
I have not tried this latest version of 4.15 which I have downloaded, but I had problems with the last one. However, I like Genesis 8.1 a lot, so I put up with it.
As for sales, only that limited coupon for the 4.15 release was what compelled me to buy a new release (Oni HD Bundle) and later claim the $15 off DAZ Originals coupon for some freebies. But I don't feel I need many 8.1-only products since the G8 ones (and G3 skins) still work great with it.
...yeah I ran into that too with the PC+ coupon even though when I was on my wishlist and clicked the PC+ coupon filter the, item I wanted to use the coupon on still showed up. Didn't get the usual "coupon not valid" message when I applied it to the cart so thought it was some other sort of issue. There was no mention on the daily sale page that said that PC coupon was invalid.
ETA
...well what seemed a disappointment yesterday is a bonus tonight as the item I wanted to use my coupon on (Daz Dragon 3 Morphs) is now 60% off and my PC coupon worked. So in the end I saved an additional 3$ over what I would have paid had the coupon worked yesterday. Ended up getting the textures as well. total cost about 6$ and change.
...same here (the 0.47 beta). Been totally stable and solid. However I render in 4.10 because the version of Iray included with 4.12 was the first version optimised for RTX cards so for older cards (like my Titan-X, OptiX was switched "on" by default (and could not be disabled) which actually increased render times.

unless Scorpion people are your kink
I dare say rule34 applies here
Well, it's male and female scorpioid-ish creatures... so Rule 34 is a definitive option.
...yeah pretty meh, today.
