It started great for me & I'm glad I spent out for the month as soon as the sales had stuff to my liking that I had been waiting for. Nothing since then has been available at those prices during this sales period.
Yeah, I've been checking out the PC for a Day... mostly for characters to fill out my male character list, although the occasional other item falls into my cart from there. I don't have nearly enough males right now.
Vivian Hair works OK in iray, not many images of it, so I took a chance. Here it is (doubled-up, as its a little thin, with some OOT shaders, quick render in iray) in case anyone wanted to see another recent render. Probably be nicer with a little dforce applied as well...
I´m loving the 2.99 section this year!
I don´t really remember last years MM, other than the whole thing being kinda meh for me. Was there a 2.99 section last year?
...yeah been pretty slim for me this year so far. Mostly PC+ for a day, "new" PC+ items (they sometimes trigger other discounts), and an occasional item from one of the PC stores on sale that is also on the wishlist. Most fo the daily themes have been "meh" as it's been a lot of fantasy and horror,, two genres that do little to excite me, as well as more G8.1 content (I rarely purchase anything for G8 unless it is something that really stands out, like a very unique character or clothing item, which I can convert to use with G3).
Guess i missed a couple specials early on as I didn't realise there would be layered orange banners. Didn't bother with the ones that gave discounts on bundles as most dealt with themes I don't work in.

The White Priestess Bundle appealed, when the style doesn't normally.

Yeah, I haven't even moved on anything for months as sales are concerned. There's been nothing at all worth it, since you have to buy new releases usually to get discounts on items. Such is the case with March Madness - this isn't a good sale at all....every discount is poor and again based on buying uninteresting items at expensive prices (I live in Australia, so they're almost twice the price listed, remember). There's just no incentive to buy anything. Slightly off-topic, it's also the same with Weekly Freebies (which are NOT weekly at all) - there's just nothing interesting anymore.
The villain vehicle was pretty cool too and it has a weapon add on
There's also a dress with a really nice shape and lots of parts like a petti and the dress itself has many material zones tho its default skins have the same pattern over the entire dress. You don't see too many of those kinds of dresses and it included bloomers and a petti and has a nice silhouette so I just had to get it

The PC+ for a day is really helping me fill out my runtime. Having just switched from Studio 3.25 in December, all the G8 characters for 2.99 are welcome. I've really been enjoying Marcuis' characters, though the skin is not particularly great, using another character's works a treat. Tentman's woufits are really nice as well.
Even the older 2.99 environments are working well once I DAZ Uber up the textures.
For someone like me, all this stuff makes it a little easier on the wallet to get some new characters.

For someone new, the sales are quite the bonanza I guess :) Old timers, not so much. LOL
...yeah that and the fact I stopped with G3 (as having to rebuild the "stable" every two years was just too much), has a lot to do with it.
I spent a couple of days without buying much, and I'm glad, because today went over the daily budget and that makes up for it. Had so many PCFAD items in my cart, that picking up a newly mad item was only $1 more (with the drop in PCFAD items as a result). I have mostly been avoiding the new releases, but that was a no-brainer.
I'm sure the PC sale later in the year will have better deals, but I won't have as much money then, so I have decided to go ahead and buy things now. Gotta admit, the stimulus money has been nice. I wonder how much Daz revenue has increased as a result?

I'm a sucker for Neftis's hair. So few colours and so hard to use the same scene as transmapped hair, but I can't help myself.
New to Studio 4.x content, yes, but I'd hardly cally myself "new." I've been using Studio sence version .8 in 2005, and IIRC, the first character I bought was Thorne's Lilo Bebe for the MGPT, still one of my all-time favorites.

Added 2 Zev items 50% off, a few seconds later (literally), I added the the old room and discount vanished; amazing it just ended as I was shopping.
... Ahh well, there is always another sale.
Seriously though - a timer would not waste my time, which i find seriously annoying that Daz is happy for this to happen.
I'm getting Wishlist iteme (around 200 of them) at fantastic prices in an e-mail. I click on the link and the item is now twice as exppensice as the e-mail...

a flash sale just ended.
I think the store glitched for a couple minutes and showed incorrect pricing on product pages(even up to 70% on non DO new ones), that triggered ATI's plugin mails on whislisted items. But those prices never reflected in cart.

March Mehness was fine. If they want to change it up and make a "yearly event" equal to or less than everyday "sales," that's fine. I found a few thing here and there.
But I don't appreciate getting excited, then having my hopes dashed.
I also don't appreciate having my time wasted by filling a cart full of items for a hefty spend, and having the items in cart start to have much higher prices than the product page.
I thought I was finally going to get an item I've been pining for, plus a lot of other ones I've been waiting for. And now nothing.
It's a crappy feeling.
