Here's a couple on a theme...
"In Their Satin Tights..."
MeTV added the 1970s "Wonder Woman" series to their Saturday night line-up, and recently ran "The Feminum Mystique" two-parter (season one, episodes 4 and 5) on successive Saturdays. This was the storyline that introduced Diana's younger sister, Drusilla (played by an up-and-coming Debra Winger) who, after learning first-hand about Nazi treachery, follows in her big sister's footsteps, becoming Wonder Girl!
Anyway, the surge of nostalgia spurred me to try cobbling together a TV-inspired Wonder Girl...
"Bracelets 1, Bullets 0"
Inspired by "The Feminum Mystique, Part 2" (season one, episode 5)...
In her first outing as Wonder Girl, Drusilla is captured by Nazi agents who have mistaken her for her older sister. To verify her authenticity, the Nazis threaten a young aircraft engineer (himself secretly a Nazi spy), throwing him into Drusilla's cell and shooting at him point-blank (he was wearing a bulltproof vest under his clothes). Drusilla leapt into action, deflecting the bullet with her Feminum bracelets! Alas, since the Nazis had staged the entire incident, they were prepared for her, and knocked her out with chloroform before she could mount an escape.
Like those renders allot!
Yeah! What Rammy said! :)
Wow, that looks great!
As an aside, you've also made me consider switching over to using Blender. Any tips for a beginner?
is it me or does he kind of look a little like will smith
Hiram67 made a Mr. Miracle Second-Skin Texture for M4. Already added to my Ultimate Super-Hero Freebie list which you can find in my signature. :)
And very nice pic, btw. LOVE that moment, one of the greatest ever in comic history (as well as Canary's mournful reaction when she found she missed the whole thing *LOL*).

Awesome work as always, I'm glad you pointed them out... think I may have missed the first couple. Have to head over to your gallery to give those a closer look!
Toon shaders came out great, FSMC! Awesome X's too!
Excellent looking Havok headpiece, JG! Icon looked great too!
...and I agree with Rammwolf, RKane... first Thing was cool but the 2nd was a big improvement.
Good stuff from Hiram too.
Both tjohn's Mousk and Chrome Tiger's Duck and One Punch cracked me up! Well done guys.
Ghost in the Shell: The Aiko Rebellion.
Thanks, Leroy.
Here's a few I did using DAZ figures as a base but tried to finish off to make them look rendered by hand. I failed... but still not too bad, I think.
+1
Many thanks, Gentlemen.
If I wanted to share morphs that I had created in ZBrush, how is the best way to distribute them? I was thinking of sharing my Thing....
okay there is just no way to say that and it sound right.
I completely agree. There's still a ton of potential here, but they decided to come out with "Teen Trillionaires" instead. I just don't get it...

Welcome aboard, SmallFry :)
I do have some suggestions. Start out by watching the Blender Guru tutorials, like this one:
http://www.blenderguru.com/videos/introduction-to-cycles/
Some things are updated since then, but you'll get the idea of what it takes to render in Cycles. I would suggest looking through a lot of his tutorials, but maybe skip the ones on modeling and go for the texturing and compositing ones, since you'll be doing most of your setup in Daz.
I always use the "mcjTeleBlender" script to quickly export my Daz scene into Blender. It does a lot of the tedious work like reconnecting the materials and setting up Cycles nodes. Here's a link to the thread here on the Daz forums:
http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/2877/
And finally, I've been getting a ton of ideas and great tips from this book:
Blender 2.6 Cycles: Materials and Textures Cookbook
So that should overload you for right now lol. I hope you get into it, but shoot me a message if you have any questions.
is it me or does he kind of look a little like will smith
LOL. Don't even put that out into the universe.
The funny thing is the hair is called Rapper for M4, and the "rapper" they're referencing is clearly Wil Smith.
But the character himself is a Genesis Neo that I just morphed quite a bit.
If you've exported them to DAZ and saved as morphs and shaping/material presets, you could always just go Sharecg. Dropbox or a similar cloud site is another option, but I think the Sharecg will reach more peeps.
One for today to bring the thread back up.

Nice one, FMSC. What's the figure?
Thanks, he's from the Batman: Arkham City game (free DLC). 3DSMax, to DS to Luxrender.

Wow! That is pretty awesome. I have never had much luck getting anything from 3dsmax to work well in DAZ. When I import the obj, it comes in totally huge and although I can apply the materials (with varying degrees of success) I can't pose the figure so at a total loss on what to do with them. Would be really awesome to be able to use some of these in my renders.
In case there's any interest, I've uploaded my TV-style Wonder Girl texture to ShareCG. Includes DS material presets (both .dsa and .duf) for the V4 Bodysuit and TerryMcG's Cosplay Costume Retro accessories (belt, boots, tiara). There's also an extremely basic Poser .mc6 setting for the bodysuit.

I actually did six X-Men for a scene in this short.

Very neat, lots of fun.
Nicely done.

Very cool, thanks. If I ever get my modeling skills past the "doesn't suck" phase, I want to do a Silver Age/Teen Titans Wonder Girl, both original costume and jumpsuit. I recently re-read some of those 60's Teen Titans stories, and they are amazing, DC writers and editors trying to do 60s teen culture with superheroes is definitely worth checking out. I had forgotten that the Teen Titans worked with the Peace Corps, for example. :gulp:
that was hilarious! OMG! :-)
Has anyone ever made a Hawkman and Hawkgirl Helmet for DAZ figures or Poser?
that was hilarious! OMG! :-)
that was truly hilarious, I am huge X-Men fan but one with a sense of humor, parody is the greatest act of love and appreciation of something ;) More please.
Was working on one awhile back, nut never had time to finish it. If anyone wants the obj to finish it they are more than welcome, just PM me.
Hey, that's a really nice Hawk mask Mr. Just give it some material zones and textures and it would be killer!
Thanks Equinoxx! I'll add it to my Ultimate Super-Hero Freebie list. :)
