I don't get any duplicates, Novica. I forget how to deal with them and will ask Richard when he gets on.
About Lil' Tobyn and Caryn pose issue:
That problem occurs when rotation limits of some bones of your figures are not activated (the most common are carpal bones).
Before starting to use your character and poses, go to your “Scene” panel – Expand all your character’s bones – select them all – go to the “Parameters” panel – Left click on “Active Pane Options” – Limits – Limits ON (Rotation)
Readmes have been corrected.
Hi,
I reported the duplicate file errors. It seems to be associated with Briallen for Alexandra 8. @GlenWebb mentioned that after he uninstalled Briallen the duplicate file error went away for him. However, it didn't work for me so I need to look at the error log more closely and determine what else might be triggering it.
Trish
I agree about the hands, only I feel that not only are they not chubby enough but the dimples and wrinkles are ...sharp? not soft and squishy looking enough, they look like they are hard edged. I don't think the skin itself is as plastic as the promos make it out to be though.
Trish, my apologies for not going into more detail. Sometimes I think I'm braindead. I should mention I install via DIM. I also uninstalled/reinstalled Caryn shortly after I uninstalled LY Briallen to see if I could clear out the other errors in the log file. Perhaps that's what did it. It also cleared out some of the errors in the log file but created a few new ones. However, I have no loading issues whatsoever. She loads almost instantly for me and without warnings. What I get now in the log file is a "Could not find target property for formula:...etc" with reference to Monique 8, RedzStudio's Baby Rosie, and Virtual World's Eyelashes which I do not own (I think Baby Ella required them). I've seen these types of errors with Gen 3 figures too and I never worry about it.
I don't own any eyelashes by Virtual World nor do i own Baby Rosie and I don't get any error messages when loading Caryn or Ella.
Thankyou babult, deathbycannon, Divamakeup and firewarden for the nice comments glad you liked it.
Hey Scorpio, I meant in the log file, not a popup when loading. Apologies if I confused.
Thank you @Mechasar, I will try that.
Ahhh
I admit to some curiousity how the baby was constructed. It seems rather unusual. For example if you dial out the baby Tobyn, the model becomes super tiny. Also my pose construction utiltiy makes the head gynormous. It seems like this is made in some non-standard way.
Baby Sam wearing https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-karate-gi-for-genesis-8 and https://www.daz3d.com/samurai-bun-for-genesis-3-and-8-males
Also featuring https://www.daz3d.com/baby-packy
Here is a picture with the very old Millenium Baby 3.0, and a dial-spun Genesis 8 Male combined with the growing-up morphs. Still no newborn, but a toddler. Totally made without the new baby8 .
If you mix Dolb and Baby Tobyn you can get this guy ^^
Great character! :)
Nice!
Did that the other day. LOL Has some interesting looks mixed with Glumgurgle and The Giant too. LOLOL Kinda why I got him more than for the baby per se ;). The major problem I'm running into is that it messes up the legs a bit. Since I can't use X-Morphs/Shape Splitter to break them up, it's hard to fix other than to take it into a modeling program and smooth it out.

Many think the folds in arms/legs are over-exaggerated. I agree, but it's kinda nice to know they exist if you need them.
Here I dialed in 50% Caryn (mixed with Growing Up) and made the hands a bit larger. Caryn essentially allows adding more or less 'baby folds', although I agree a separate head/body morph would be nice.
Haven't had any luck so far making a baby render worth posting. I can't take the fat folds, they look like someone wearing a fat baby suit, there needs to be a way to dial them out.
This makes them temping to buy. I suspected they might make good Trolls.
This is
And kudos to Divamakeup.
All of the above images entice me to jump off the fence and get them, but not as babies. Had Daz promoted these as the kids 8, the sales would have been much better and we wouldn't be so shocked at the size of their heads or amount of body fat but the hands would need some cellulite. Genesis baby which I luckily bought (no longer available here) is the best baby offered to date.
This is why these babies should be renamed kids8. They make great kids but lousy babies and Daz should offer a new genesis baby 8 that really is a baby. If babies were this big there would be no humans in the world because carrying a baby that size or delivering it and surviving would not be possible.
@wonderland 'this is' should have read this is an adorable darling.
I'm still trying to split the head and body. The only thing that's worked at all so far is BenAlive's tutorial with the Dev kit head dformer. Even then, I'm still trying to get the right size to make the morphs at because the babies are scaled and even when scaled up to 100% they are not as tall as the Genesis figure they're morphing, so I had to go a little bigger. Still adjusting. In the end still not sure if it's going to work.
Laurie
I see @valzheimer beat me to posting a dolb Tobyn mix. lol oh well, here's my little dwarf. :)
Too awesome a dude! You don't want to mess with that guy! ;)
@Mechasar But some of YOUR poses have limits removed, and a dialogue box pops up asking about defeating limits.
Guys..that was too much ..rofl
Now i want to buy Dolb :-)
I just did. How did I overlook him?
@ArtAngel Thank you! :D And thank you to Will and the others who also commented on my earlier renders - I appreciate that!
Here's a new Caryn mix:
And here's the baby formula
