I saw him on tour once. In Daytona Beach, Florida. I rode my Honda 350 motorcycle 90 miles from Melbourne. My seat was in the nosebleed section of the auditorium.
I could barely see the piano from so high but there was no missing the glare of the spotlights bouncing from his costume. A bright sparkling purple star gliding across the stage. 
Good music but TV had a better view. 
He was the swoon target and darling of gaggles of blue haired old women. Had they only known he was a dedicated old queen.
Although anyone with eyes, ears, and even the most rudimentary gaydar could tell, Liberace went to his grave without coming out.

....Non 'plaint: the Snowpocalypse went north of us and hit Seattle instead
We had less than an inch here in town which melted by midday and a little more in the hills (a couple bus routes in those areas were on detours). Warming up here (well if you can call the low to mid 40s "warm") and just heavy rain and showers for the next week. We were originally supposed to get up to 14" of the white stuff tomorrow (the forecast in the Columbia Gorge is still calling for heavy snow) but the winds have shifted to the South- Southwest instead of the coming out of the east where all the cold air is so no more below freezing temps in the western valleys for now.
Yeah it was crazy at the Safeway on Friday, many shelves and coolers were almost empty as people were total panic mode, it was almost like Black Friday with checkout lines (even for the self scan stations) going up into the aisles. One of the local television news crews was even there covering the mayhem as well. I went over ot the pub that was off to the side of the main shopping area for a little (sipping a couple 3$ pints of good craft brew ale) until the worst of the frenzy died down (only in Portland OR will you find a pub in a Supermart).
Yeah I did purchase bit more than I usually do (a little annoyed because even the organic chicken breast I needed to make another batch of curry was all sold out) but after two slips and falls in the spans of as many months, I had perfect reason for doing so. Pouring rain and low 40s is still not weather I enjoy being out in particularly as I have no real reason, like a job, to go anywhere.
Snowpocalypse? Spare a thought for the people who live in Toyama, Japan.
Have you tried the Thomas' Light English Muffins? Multi-grain, less fat, and 5Grams of fiber! 5 or more grams helps fight sugar, nutralizes it somehow...not all of it, of course, but it greatly helps in the battle!

Complaint: After I watched the news and weather last night, I went back to my computer...which was asleep. I pressed a key...nothing. Again, more frantically...nothing. I pressed the restart button...nothing. I pressed the main boot button...nothing. I unplugged the power cable, the plugged back in. Nothing. The UPS is working, other devices powered by it are working. No computer. I suspect the power supply gave up. It wasn't that long ago that I put that in. Well, the shop put it in. I'm on the laptop now. Nothing I can do but read forums. All my development tools are on the desktop computer. Can't seem to get a break.

...yeah but that's in the mountains where snow is a normal occur rance. Down here in the Willamette Valley, the local news media sees a few snowflakes in the air and it's exclusive WinterBlast 20XX coverage for hours
I originally come from Wisconsin, have been in the mountains here in the states and in Europe. Yet even though I've lived in Portland for 30 years, I am still amused at how everyone here runs around like chicken little when the word "snow" appears in a forecast. What we would call a "dusting" back in the upper midwest/Great Lakes area has the transit system here scrambling around to chain up all the buses, city street crews out with de-icer and sand trucks, schools potentially closing (crikey, it had to be coming down at the rate of 1" - 2" an hour for the good part of a day or night to close the schools when I grew up in Milwaukee), events canceled, warnings of flight cancellations, and the local news media whipping everyone into panic mode as I witnessed here this past Friday.
Most often whne it does occur, we barely get enough snow to build a snowman, and the streets are usually just wet at worst. About once every four years or so we get a major snow event (6" - 9") that may hang around for a few days to a week, however, studded tyres are legal here in the city from mid November to early April. That's five and a half months during which heavy SUVs, Vans, and Pickups are grinding the road surfaces down each year, resulting in street repairs and resurfacing the following spring and summer (and then people complain about all the road work fouling their commutes up). Meanwhile, in Wisconsin and Minnesota, where they actually get serious winter, studded tyres are banned because of the damage they do to the roads.
People and the news media here need to simply chill and stop overreacting so much..
Another tip that not everybody knows is that bread (and bread products) frozen and then toasted has a lower GI than it did when fresh, and thus is better for you. It can also make you feel fuller for longer.
I believe that since most snow shoppers buy bread, eggs and milk, that they are planning to fix French toast.
Yea I always laugh at that. Bread you can at least freeze, but eggs and milk have limited life and can't really be frozen.

It had to happen. Before a flake had fallen in Cardiff, Tesco Extra was in gridlock as shoppers cleared the shelves of sliced white and milk as if they were facing a nuclear winter rather than a snowfall forecast to be over by the weekend.
I was told Friday I could go to the library if I work on my desk. I did but it was not perfect so now I cannot go to the library. I have to go to that stupid daycare for adults. I mean day center for adults. I am angry and they made fun of me as if I was a joke.
I thought things were getting better but I was just a fool.

I have these suicidal thoughts attacking me. I feel like they are telling me since I am not perfect that I am a burden and should kill my self because it will help relieve people of the burden of me. I do not know where to turn or tell. I am afraid to call crisis as I am afraid that will somehow be considered bad somehow. It is not that I am going to hurt myself but I feel like I am hurting already. I am hurting inside and I do not know what to do. I feel like I have to keep this perfect exterior so I can get out of this home. I do not know how much longer I can keep it up.

Normally I would agree, but I'm actually stuck at home today from this weekend's weather, it built gradually over the weekend but I ended up with quite a bit so while most others didn't get the promised snowmaggedon, I got much of it. I'm not actually in Portland anymore, I'm a ways out of town now but still commuting there. I fired up the snowblower today and managed to get about half the driveway clear before breaking two shear pins and loosing a third in the snow and then it started to rain. The snow was a foot deep in places, although less in other places due to either minor drifting or melting or still being stuck in trees. Maybe we got an average of 8 inches that stayed, but probably 12 fell, compacted down to 8 over a few days. I manually shoveled the other half, but my local road didn't get cleared and the snow is still deeper than the bottom of my car. Tomorrow I'll probably still be stuck, but I'll see if the snow on the road is dry enough to be blown or perhaps I'll spend the entire day shoveling a path to the nearest plowed road, although ice might prevent getting up the hill anyway. :-) Hoping the rain will melt it down rather than just ice-coating it, but maybe that rain will be a few more inches of snow on top of what's still there.
...hang in there and talk to your advocate/caseworker tomorrow. Let him or her know you need to be a more supportive situation than you are crurently dealing with.
