...nice interpretation.  Has a very "painterly" quality.

I didn't do any post work, I seldom do and generally just as an experiment for my own amusement :)

  • Hopefully, this is my last render on my existing laptop.  All new desktop with an actual Iray capable video card should arrive tomorrow!  In "celebration" (a fearful, leery celebration...) of the upcoming Iron Fist season 2, here's a quick take on Misty Knight...

...nice, but no way will I have my system tied up that long.

So how did you get the more "oil paint" like quality out of a photo real render engine in the other two?

I use 3DL for more "artistic" styled rendering as I have a lot of "in render" effects I can use.

I don't, I usually run it overnight or just do other things in the background. I can have a second studio open and work on something else, edit video files in Vegas, work on photographs in Photoshop, surf the web and forums, take my Grandchildren to school and pick them up, go to the park with them, work in the garden or go for long walks when I have the time. Long renders don't tie me down :)

As to the colour I can only put that down to the lighting and my render settings and the fact I have Saturation at 1.2 which deepens the colours. Crush Blacks at 0.20 and Burn Highlights at 0.96.

Had to pick up the new Pitbull, since it reminded me of my dear departed.

Adjusted it a little; about 70% pitbull, slightly longer legs to more resemble our dog.

Put Oso Fur with Labrador material on it (because the pitbull skins use Bully UV map, which Oso Fur doesn't have a template for)

Okay my turn my first public render iray render using Daz Studio I'm still working on render quality settings but hey we all have to start somewheresmiley. Some of the lights in the scene I created the small round stick in the ground patio lights and the lights on the tables are my own creation I'm loving learning how to use emissives so much easier in DS then in Poser. I also love the dforce stuff too again so much easier then the clothroom in poser I had so much trouble with the clothroom.

I can't seem to link the image this forum throws me a message saying that there is no link to go to. Ive tried all three ways to link the image.

First post here, and after looking through all these posts ... wow, I've got a lot to learn, but looking forward to it :)

    So, my first offering:

A picture of a girl looking out into the world ...

I'm trying to find a style that would work in a graphic novel, one that doesn't go down the 'cartoon-ify' route (though I have seen this done very well using DAZ, and I'm considering all options ;) ).
