    Thinking about this, I remember many, many years ago, importing a model of a Gaz Chiaka into Bryce for a scene which may have been .lwo format.  Haven't used Bryce in quite a while (and that was ver. 6.0). My only thought though as it is not a modelling programme per se, not sure if one can save the file as a .obj and then export it to say Hex.  Also not sure if the materials will work after such a conversion.

    Well I just pointing that out so you could use as a converter only as Blender is less than 100mb installed.

    https://www.daz3d.com/bryce-7-pro is only $2.79 for today, and https://www.daz3d.com/carrara-8-5-pro is $9.10 for today, but they are discounted several times a year if you miss out.

    There are also several online 3d conversion utility sites that can convert a wide array of formats to other formats, for free.  Pretty much all of them support .OBJ output, so converting 3DS, LWO, STL, etc. to OBJ is simple.  Here's one:  http://www.greentoken.de/onlineconv/

    ..ahh I was looking for something that could be installed. I'll give Carrara a try on the .lwo file and see how it goes.

    ...on another front NGS Angenessis 2 is part of the Top Seller sale just for today.  Does it need Angenessis 1 or can it be used on its own?

    It's standalone (doesn't need/use Anagenesis 1).

    ...thank you.  for my needs that seems the better of the two as it is a simpler solution to add more texture detail (which should help in getting away from the "rubber doll" look).
