Most of the underground stations are essentially identical and simply expanded tubes. Except for the transfer stations which are two 90 degree intersecting tubes with the trains on one of two different levels.
The above ground stations are bacically identical simple platforms with a small covered area and some covered bus-stop like areas at the extremes of the platform. Although a few of them have fancy glass enclosed walkways that permit you to walk from the parking lots on either side of the highway to the Metro station that runs up the middle of the highway.
The big underground transfer stations in the middle of the city are very busy and some of them have direct entrances to major department stores or other shopping malls. There's an underground station at the big railroad station "Union Station". (It was so cool that I could get on the Metro, change to the train and be in Manhattan in about three hours). There's a busy underground station at The Pentagon, and there's a nice above ground station at the in-city "Reagan--National Airport" just across the Potomac river into Virginia. Apparently despite the silver line not going all the way out to the big airport "Dulles", 27 miles west of Washington, it does go to Reston, Virginia and from there there's a dedicated fleet of buses to take you the last 7 miles to Dulles airport. At some of the stations in the suburbs there are some large parking buildings that hold a lot of cars but never enough, so at certain times of day you have to cruise around in the lot, like a vulture waiting for a space to open up.
If we'd had the Metro in Reston when I lived there I could have walked to the station in 15 minutes by taking a shortcut across the golf course.
Is it bed time again? I feel like watching stuff download is boring. Watching fish is fun, but they are getting ready for sleep. Almost said bed, but fish do not have beds.

For example : a great app that does what it needs and to work it out with the content and it needs more space for the app that you could see on your own time or you just want it in the settings and then it will get better.
I do have not been to a meeting in a particular place and it was a busy morning and a half day to work on my schedule and it is a good night to be a good day. 0.o

On serious note I could not see a movie today for two reasons. One is the app I use to get into movies is acting up. Two my taxi changed the rides so they did not show up to take me to movies.

...well, there was a glimmer of hope for a weather change to more favourable conditions today as a pretty strong breeze kicked up mid morning and into the afternoon, but was not to be. Still made it into the mid 90s (same for tomorrow) and still is extremely smoky. Forecast calls for a cool down and the smoke to clear out after tomorrow with a high by Sunday only in the upper 60's and water from the sky.
The skeptic in me doesn't buy it though as they've predicted similar changes for the last couple months and it never happened.
Seems I barely get back to getting some decent sleep only to have it become stifling again. This is not the way it should be here in an area usually renowned for it's copious rainfall.
It looks like you may have to just get used to it, KK. Seems things have changed.

Clicking the X button instead of cog button on Dim does not do the same thing. Just because they are close to each other does not mean they are the same.
Well, I had to cut my PC membership and since I can't whine on the DazAholics thread, here I am. I have been making a ton of shaders. No renders. I had to gut my wishlist, still got that one on that other site to do. I am going to try to focus on getting more Arki and AeonSoul stuff here and a few artists there. Until I actually get the major stuff I have been wanting for so long, I am not giving in to sales. I am going to continue to make shaders, sort and sort, and play dress up, whether anything actually gets rendered or not. I am also going to be working with G3 forever it seems like. All the new stuff looks so good and my budget is crap. I have not been getting much paid work at the store. The kids and housework is keeping too busy to do much more on the computer or make much at the store. My only hope is that if I reduce my household spending and other spending that hubby will loosen the purse strings, or find paying work for me at the stores and loosen the purse strings. And I have to find and edit up some free pics for one of the stores that is being renovated. I might get a couple of hours of pay for getting them printed and in the frames we are recyling.
