Complaint:  Tailgaters. angry  What is it that makes people think that it's smart or productive to ride up my tailpipe.  I hope their car is not sniffing to see if my car is in estrus. surprise

I live out here in the far west of NY State out in the middle of nowhere between Buffalo, Cleveland and Pittsburgh.  Even the 4 lane Interstate road that passes through here is considered busy if there are 5 cars in a 1 mile stretch, yet this jackaxe comes up quickly behind me as I'm doing exactly the speed limit in the correct lane and sits not 15 feet behind me.  He could pass me at any time but doesn't.  So, I click the cruise control down 2 MPH and he doesn't pass.  I go down another 2 MPH and he doesn't pass.  I go down another 2 MPH and he finally realizes he's going way slower than he wants to so he finally decides to pass and zooms ahead of me even after I've resumed the speed limit.  I watch him come up behind the car that was ahead of me (also doing the speed limit because I'd been a quarter mile behind him for 15 minutes.) and the tailgater does the same thing to him.  Why doesn't the tailgater just continue to pass other cars when he obviously wants to go faster than the speed limit?  Bonkers!  Why are people so bonkers? frown

...maybe he's a wannabe NASCAR driver.   They use a technique called "drafting" where they get in close behind another car to get into it's slipstream which effectively pulls them along and they can let off a bit on the accelerator (which in turn detracts from the fuel economy of the car ahead of them).  The same effect is used by cyclists in the Tour De France which is why you see them often bunched up for most of the race and teammates taking turns passing each other multiple times.

If your car was bigger than his, he had an advantage by getting into your slipstream to do the same. Not only a dangerous practise should you have to make an emergency stop, but a rude one because it probably did affect your car's economy slightly.

...or he was just a total jerk.

You don't have any bumper stickers on the rear of the vehicle do you?

Only an "AAA" sticker.  To identify my car to the tow truck guy when necessary.

Maybe they are trying to read it?

It says just "AAA" in three inch high red letters.  If he can't read it without getting 15 feet from my back bumper he shouldn't be driving. surprise

...I see a lot of motorists daily who should not be behind the wheel as well as keep writing the cereal companies to stop giving away licences in specially marked boxes of their product.

Maybe your tailgater was like my dad.  He would poke along without passing for miles, but once there were more cars coming from the opposite direction, or in hilly, curvy areas, he would pedal to the metall to pass.  He especially liked to wait until there were 7-9 cars in front of him, then pass all of them at once.

Non-complaint:  Beautiful day after so many rainy ones.   Went for a drive around the lake. yes

Complaint:  Bicycles, bicycles, bicycles.  A parade of pudgy people wearing puffily protruding purple spandex, pumping prodigiously up the ponderous hills around the lake. frown

Bicycles all along the west lake shore road and when I got to the head of the lake there was a traffic jam of cars and bicycles all trying to navigate the poorly controlled parking entrances to the "Jamestown Area Celtic Festival".  Saw lots of guys in skirts!

I can't find the OBJ for Kazumi body suit.  I wanted to remap it. Where is it?

  • Seriously, I downloaded the manual files and I can't find anything I can take into blender.  Is this normal?  Is it in some file format I don't know to look for?

  • duh, sorry I guess I'll just export it. Now I know I can't live without my monster java.  But its seriously weird when you can't find anything in the folders. It must be past my bedtime.

  • MistaraMistara Posts: 38,675

if its duf format, there is no 'obj', export is the waycool

  • Thanks.  I was confused.  Now I can't remember how to move around in Blender.  So going to watch videos.  If I can learn to remap certain items, then that would be great.  Daz is always asking what features we want for the next version.  How about UV mapping???  You know to go with those great shaders.

  • I am able to create materials zones in Daz Studio. I wish I could turn a zone into a part of a UV map and tell it which end should be up for applying a shader.  Thankfully I am not a programmer and so I know not what I ask.
