I'm baffled by this release — really struggling to see what this adds to the genesis 8 female gene pool that we don't have already.
Teen Josie is pretty easy dial down to increase age.
Is there something I'm missing, some technological breakthrough with this figure that made it a much needed replacement for Teen Josie?
I put the two products promos and features side by side... I guess it's the eyebrows?
It looks like Josie 8 found a pair of tweezers, over-plucked her eyebrows, and magically becoming Kaylee 8?

That's no teen.. She looks like one of those "Hollywood Teen" characters in movies that are always played by people pushing 30 rather than actual teens. Like Scooby Doo, a TV show about meddlesome teenagers gets a movie in 2002 and the entire cast was born in the 1970's. Shaggy was 32!! LOL. But that is typical of Hollywwod.
And that is Kaylee 8, she looks like an adult trying to be a teenager, and not the other way around. I bet this chick doesn't even get carded half the time. That there is a Bounty Huntress outfit in the bundle...for a teen? This isn't an anime character! And to verify my thoughts, I ran promo pics into Microsoft Age Guesser. The app says she is 22. There was one pic that said she was 17, but the others were 20 and 22, with 22 coming up the most.
Moreover, her eyes look extremely fake and cartoonish in the promos. And overall, many are not very attractive promos, I'm sorry, but I gotta be honest.
If you need yet another "teen" character, please get Rarestone to do it. And while you are at it, please get Bluejaunte to make Mei Lin 8.
And...how does a leather jacket conform to boobs like this? Does it have built in cups? LOL.
And as for complaing, I had high hopes for Kaylee. Those have been utterly destroyed. So I am going to get on my computer and rant about it. Its 2018, and that's just what people do.
If so, maybe Netflix will pick her up XD
I can understand some of the negativity re Teen Kaylee. We all have our favourites we would like to see released. For me it is Lilith 8. I am strating to think she may not make the cut for Gen 8 which makes me sad but so be it. But I still evaluate each release on its merits and try not to get caught up in the "She is not {insert different ethnic background here] or male etc.". And Teen Kaylee seems like a fun addition to my content library. And if she is not for you you do not have to buy her. But the Pro Bundle seemed like great value with the asset discounts and freebies.
But enough of the political broadcast - here is Teen Kaylee in her Walking Dangerously outfir having some fun in the park.

A quick render with a few dialspins to get her more towards "Teen". I mean... who uses 100% of a dial, anyway?
I went with 50% Teen Kaylee in each area to show that she's in there.
Face is a lot of work, but based on 50% Kaylee, 25% Penny, 25% Aiko.
Body is straight up 50% Kaylee, 25% Teen Josie, 25% Amber (3DU).
Generous use of Zev0's Growing Up as well.

I kind of like her. I think she makes a better teenager than Teen Josie 8 and can be made to look older very easily. However since most of my artwork is "Cheese Cake" and Pinup stuff, I really can't use her as she has no anitomical element materials and none of the PA characters do either (I understand DAZ's reasons for this and agree with it). Will have to wait for an older girl. I also second that they need to start adding G8 bundles to the mix. I might buy the base character down the line for DNA dial spinning but the only item I want out of the Pro Bundle is the Bounty Huntress outfit and the glasses and tatoos from the add ons.
Thanks. Youth can be so subjective, so getting opinions on my dial spins is a positive.

My problem with Kaeylee is the eyes are so unrealistic and yet she is not a toon (other than the eyes).

The body says "teen" but the face says "twenty something". The look in her eyes gives it away. BTW, nice image.

Could’ve be any age in the 13-25 year old bracket. Daz females tend to look young and stylization makes them look younger still. It doesn’t help that the same head is used regardless of age for both adult and kid characters thus muddying the water.
I do want to say that I appreciate today's sales triggering on the base figure as well as the bundles. I may end up getting her yet. I do think she looks like a teen, btw. Heck, she looks like some of the girls I see leaving the middle school nearby.
I was hoping Kaylee was going to be a Black teen character and LaTonya Latina. I like the Asian add-ons for Kaylee and the hair and clothes in her bundle, but Kaylee herself is very dissapointing to me. I don't hate her, just not what I was expecting and way too similar to other characters I already own. If I hadn't picked up Teen Josie 8 and Karyssa I would jump on this bundle, because I do need teens/young adult characters.
I posted these on @Novica's review thread, but I thought I'd also post here. These are a couple of quick renders in close up of Kaylee. The first uses makeup and skin settings that come with Kaylee (I was going for a Sci-Fi look) and the second I used Altern8 and Project EYEray. I'm still learning how to use these and I'm sure @DivaMakeup would do this far, far, better than I ever could!

Lovely renders. What brows did you use for the second one? The default Kaylee ones seem too thin to me, did you replace them with something better?

@ColinFrench I totally forgot to mention the brows! Kaylee comes with a 'no brow' option so I changed her brows using Super Natural Brows Merchant Resource for Genesis 8 and 3 Female (I bought this a little while ago in a sale along with the male product and I really like them).
@Divamakeup, thank you :-) I love Altern8 and it's one of the few products I bought out of the gate on date one without any hesitation.

Huh. With those faces of Asia morphs she finally looks like a Thorne doll. She really didn't quite do so before.
You know, they've been stealthing in some good kinky stuff again. Owen 8 and Charlotte 8 had some really cool piercings right in the bundles.
The Psy Dagger outfit... oh, Lordy.
The opacity options on the dress! I could render something with that and then the mods would be on my case. OR, the dress without the Innerwear, I wouldn't even think about posting an image of that. Definitely my favorite outfit from the release, even if it's not in the bundle. (Probably best that it's not included in a "teen" bundle, anyway.)
I'm going to download a version of it to store offline in case the Daz powers decide to change their mind about what's in that product...
