Not such a bad thing, I really love Thorne

I'm not quite feeling the negativity towards this character. With the right texture and accessories, she'd probably make a better realistic teen than Josie does. Though I can see what others are saying about her possibly being an older character if you run the textures and accessories the other way. More of a Hollywood actress in her early 20s playing the part of a teenager. Yeah, texture would be key with Kaylee when dialed in at full strength.
Render below is a first run. Gave up at 93.14% convergence at 9300 iterations, but maybe I'll try again with some lighting fixes to speed things up.

What's with the gun? Is she planning on a mass shooting on July 4? I have no problem with guns in sci-fi/fantasy or action scenes but this just looks like she's plotting something. Sorry, in this day and age of school shootings, I just find this eerie...

OK... Teen Kaylee 8 mixed with Penny 8, plus some dial spins for the face... using the Psy Dagger outfit because it's awesome.
I had to run this a couple times because the glowy bits were set at 10,000 c / cm^2. Usually, this is in m^2, so when it's using cm^2... that's a LOT of candles.

Another beauty. Looks like she mixes well with others. Keep them coming! Someone may convince me to buy her yet. I wasn't going to get the dog but @barbult's renders convinced me and I'm happy I did.
Sorry Daz, but I often think whoever does the official renders doesn't always do the characters justice. Especially with Thorne characters. @Thorne does the most amazing renders and promos and he/she should be paid extra to showcase their Daz Originals. I can't really tell if this is Thorne because only Thorne really brings out the full cuteness of their characters, but the promos of pretty much all Daz Original characters do not stand up to the promos of PAs. Sorry to be so judgmental, but if you're trying to sell something, you really need the best artists to do the promos and more often than not, it's forum members who post in these threads that convince me to buy Daz Original characters and not the official promos..,

This is just a quick render at 50% Teen Kaylee, 50% Mousso's Michiko HD, some dial spins for the nose because I care about noses.
Wow, another teen? No thank you. Some of the mixes look nice, but not very realistic. Some are more Aiko than Aiko.
Anyone notice for the first time they added the STARTER BUNDLE into the PRO BUNDLE so it will not keep showing up if you buy the Pro Bundle? They should retro-apply that to all the old bundles. I mean I use the browser extensions so I have done it manually, but about time they at least got that corrected!
While I have all the main bundles offered, there are a couple of nice ones worth getting for the 3 FREE and she kicks off a decent discount on the July 4th items too.
DAZ has gotten smart and kept the TOTAL Cart cost up but has been adding more and more value trying to get us to part with that Total. So that is probably going to tip the scale for me to add this base.
I am of the mind she is a bit stylized but older teen/college. Sometimes dropping in a bit of these at 10-20% can really spark a fun look to a shape.
JazzyBear: Yes I did notice that, and am grateul for it. I do generally check the freebie, or deep discount offers, but then I always find myself wading through pages of starter bundles when I had already opted for the Pro.
Yeah, I did finally bite with the 3Free Bundle offer, Most of the bundles on offer I'd already cherry-picked a component or so from in some earlier promotion, but I did manage to find 3 with things I didn't have that loked like I might be able to use them.
I *will* say that i like both of the hairs in this Pro bundle, and I quite like *all* the shoes. Even if 3 of the 4 are varying stiles of boots, they all look like they are *practical* boots. No spikes, holes, open toes, stillettos or 4-inch wedges in sight!
(Although I can't see any reason for why a close-fitting outfit would need to be dForce.)
It's a start, even if it's not working all that well right now, as I'm still seeing the Kaylee 8 starter bundle even though I have the Pro bundle (and I've selected hide items I own). I expect that will be sorted, um... soon?

I am definitely glad that DAZ returned to offering 3 free pro bundles with the purchase of the Teen Kaylee 8 pro bundle instead of the promotion that they had with The Girl 8 Pro Bundle where you got to choose $30 of Gen 8 items, $60 of Gen 7 items and $100 of Gen 6 or older products. This may have been a good option for those that own all the bundles or would rather have a larger selection to choose from, but it was only $190 worth of free products and I would rather get three $134.95 items. The opportunity to get these 3 additional pro bundles and the extra discounts is what convinced me to purchase this item. I was hoping that Mabel was the next figure to be released, but 4 pro bundles and 3 add ons for $62 makes this new set about $16 (if you divide the cost among the 4 bundles and count the 3 add ons as freebies) and well worth it. Well, that is the logic that I used to justify this purchase.
Yep, well too bad they showed it but did not code it. Maybe someday.
I just wanted to stop in and say thanks to everyone posting the images, They were so good,it made my decision much easier. I thought Kaylee would be very versatile, and your renders show it!

I personally think she's pretty nice. I like the stuff she comes with, and the three bundles, like any one you might want, guys girls, environments, ext. it was a no brainer for me. As far as the Bounty Hunteress outfit, I think it's pretty cool. I don't like it when there are weapons and no way for a character to carry them other then their hands. Knifes/swords need a sheath, bows should have an arrow quiver, pistols should have a holster, and a rifle... well, I've not seen too many of them with slings, but there are a few. Without a way for a weapon to be carried it makes it pretty unrealistic and unprofessional (not on the part of the artist, but on the part of a character itself, if they have to walk around with a gun in their hand they can't do anything else with those hands unless they disarm themselves). I'm glad to see that there are some holsters for this outfit.
I think this outfit can help make her into one of those teen superheros, and a nice partner for the Rayvn.

As has been said, her body shape is more mature so 19 if she is a teen. I see her as some others as 20-something trying to play younger. She has a useful shape for dialing IMO.

In my opinion, Teen Kaylee has a better overall shape and proportions out of the group.
She's noticably less stylized than the others. But not *quite* to the point of saying she's realistic instead of stylized.

Yep, I think she is a good fit. Certainly for some of my upcoming renders. I often play AGAINST age and gender, and usually hack together outfits so skimpwear is worn over "basics" for younger renders. I have a series of 5 year olds listening to the children's librarian read stories of adventurers and picturing themselves as the characters. So needless to say, not a lot of skin showing!
SteelyDan has a great tune called Pixeleen that reminds me of this character. It would be fun to do a video of it.
