    I just want it all. I wish they’d offered it all grouped.

    When I saw Dog 8, I was thinking that there might be a Dog 8 pro bundle, at which point I'd have to figure out whether to count Dog 8 as a male or female.  We have around 2 ladies for each guy so far with the pro bundles.  But it's a build a bundle, not a pro bundle so I guess we'll be expecting another pro character soon.  It's been almost 2 weeks since Girl 8 dropped, and the Girl 8 coupon ends tomorrow, so I guess we'll find out soon if Daz is keeping with the 2 week cadence on Pro bundles, or if we get a breather this week.

    Dog 8 is cute!  Glad to see more pets, although  I wanted a German shepherd, or maybe a terrier...

    A clear improvement on previous dogs, though some of the breeds look a little cartoonish for me. The labrador is nice.

    oh that looks great!

    Was the leash very difficult to pose, to get it from the dog to the girl's hand?

    I couldn't resist a quick experiment with "Daz Dog 8" in DAZ Studio and Iray.  I wanted to see how the hair from "Benji The Puppy HD for Daz Dog 8" worked with the different breeds. No post work

    I am loving them so far, but can't wait to play with some more breeds and fluffy doggos.  Hopefully AM has some Catalyzer suprises for us

    P.S. Those dogs looks awesome Midnight

    How does it render in 3Delight, seeing that it has just Iray surface material? Or does it take the old surface materials of the MilDog?

    @MidnightStories Cool hyena! I'll certainly buy that one when it hits the store!

    .... Pug morph, when?!?!

    Also, if a PA makes a Puppia-style harness for the Frenchie, I will love you forever.

    It's all based on PBR stuff so that's for Iray, if you've got a copy of my old Lycan the fur shaders will this fur set !

    are you getting an orange banner/message to get that $6.85 for the base dog? The lowest I'm seeing him is $8.56 with five products in the cart.

    discounts are pretty good dd8 base drops down to $6.85 from $12.23 same too with other products so could make a decent pro bundle option

    The Orange banner is purple

    The leash, as far as I can tell, does not have a pose dial, and needs to have each segment posed individually, as does the dog's tail. So, no, it's not "easy" (as in EasyPose) to set up, as it takes a while.

    And the image is a test render of a WIP, as can be seen from the teeth poking throught the tongue wink

    Thank you for the info!

    Though my question was  more generally for the D8 fur... I usually render Iray, but there are some situations when I prefer 3DL. So it would have been interesting to know if they render good in 3DL out of the box, or need some conversion love, and also, if the MilDog texture sets would work on them.

    Yeah -Instant buy.

  • For serious though, thank you, Daz!! For once, I'm truly happy with something y'all have put out in an official context, even if I wish there was a pug morph included, ahaha. (Frenchies are just as cute, though! But Mr. Puggles for Poser is seriously showing his age + I wish he was morphable) The fact y'all even included a toy dog in the form of a Frenchie is amazing. Even a Daschund/Weenie dog! After how the MilDog was pretty much all hound breeds, it's nice to see the smaller set finally get some kind of recognition.

    I really hope PAs are inspired by things like dog clothes (dressy harnesses for the small doggos), harnesses, etc... hell, I don't even know what exactly to buy with what we've got today!

    Thank you so much for this. As a dog mom, this is amazing.

    Thanks, Midnight_stories. I hadn't looked closely enough. Good to know.

    I wonder if the daschund morph can be "shortened", if you get what I mean. My Woody is a dash/shih tzu mix - but he takes after the daschund more..which means he's a short, fat, brown dog with a pointy nose...so I'd be interested to see if the length of the body could be shortened.

    Just for the record, it's a dachshund - daschund translates to something like "Trash" (Schund is the German word that usually is translated as trash) smiley

    I've NEVER been able to spell that correctly laugh

    Haha, oh wow. Sorry about that!

    Speaking of dachsunds... any chance we could see a long-hair texture at some point? Either Fibermesh or a LAMH preset? Just sayin'. :V

    Oh man. I haven't been this excited about a Daz Original in a long time, lmao.

    ETA: *SCREAMS* FLOPPY EAR MORPH!! With a few tweaks to the Frenchie, it'll make a good stop-gap until an official Pug morph is released (because curly tail). I'm loving this figure so much!!! <3

    LOL - wrong again :-) not dachsunds, it's Dachshund and the plurar would be Dachshunde

    Dachs = Badger

    Hund = Dog

    However, we call them Dackel in German :-) ...and the one you'd like to have is the Langhaardackel, they're so cute!

    like this?  you can change the torso length even longer too and make stocky and of course weight
