Some cats do things you would only expect of a dog.  Our cat used to play fetch delightedly.  We'd crumple up a little piece of notepad paper about 4x5 inches into a ball and toss it.  He'd scramble to it, pick it up in his teeth, bring it back and drop it at our feet waiting for us to throw it again.  Then when he got bored with us he'd start batting it about the room and chase after it having the time of his life for about 10 minutes.  Old crumbled "balls" were apparently not interesting because we'd find them in dusty corners weeks later.  He had to have a fresh "crunchy" ball or he'd just ignore it.  The moment we started wadding up a fresh piece of paper, he's appear out of his hiding place and be at our feet waiting for the first toss.

My neighbor's cat who hangs out here frequently... (Mostly for attention and snacks) has a weird fixation with running after rolling balls.

He'll run after them and tackle them and then shoot off in a random direction, stop and look back to see if it's gonna retaliate.

He used to chase lager balls until one day my daughters were playing soccer and he decided to ambush a fast moving shot... If it wasn't so terrible looking to behold I would have actually laughed, but he jumped it almost head on and sort of did a half cartwheel, landed askew and shot off into the bushes again and then just sat there semi-stunned. He seemed okay because after that he was willing to eat some tuna...

As far as I know, he's never attempted that stunt again.

Was it strong lager, or the watery US stuff?

Complaint: A day late, but didn't feel like complaining at the time. I had a wisdom tooth pulled yesterday no High point of the experience was when the dental hygenist asked me if I felt like I had lost any wisdom. i told her, "Honey, you can't lose what you never had." She laughed.

I don't feel uncomfortable using terms of endearment when addressing a woman young enough to be my granddaughter (or is it great granddaughter). Perhaps I should?

Non-complaint: Socket healing nicely, pain has turned to mere soreness now so yay...smiley

I was expecting one amazon package today.  Let me emphasize one and only one.  However I got three as in 3.  All three packages contained the same thing; hdmi extender.  I called amazon to let them know of their mistake but they said I can keep them. 0.o

@LeatherGrypon, glad you completed your collection.  It's a good feeling to complete a collection that's been wanting for some time.  And if it helps with some emotional situation, too, all the better!

Not sure that would be advisable with diabetes.  Ask your doctor first.

You can get temporary tattoos... Less pressure about where to put them, pain, health risks, long term commitment to a particular pony...etc...

Whatever you do, don't get the iron-on type.

Complaint:  Arghhhh...,  I use Microsoft's InternetExplorer as my browser.  Have always used it.  I don't have problems with it.  I don't mind what it does or how it behaves.  I've tried other browsers, I don't like them.  indecision

I read my news via the BBC website and from MSNBC.   Recently MSNBC has been warning us at the top of the page that they were going to roll out a new page design.  OK, no problem with that, I'm game, but I'm not going to jump in and try the Beta version.  Sorry, I'll wait until you get the bugs out of it. indecision

I use Windows7 on my main computer.  Have for years, like it, don't want to change. indecision

Yesterday, I let Microsoft install their latest updates to Windows7.  OK, no problem with that, I always let them do what they want.  Rarely do I have a problem. indecision

Today, first thing in the morning, I bring up the MSNBC news and what does it do?  It complains that it can't load the page.  WTF!!! surprise  That page worked yesterday even after the Win7 update.  But I try it several times anyway.  I reboot my machine, reset my browser parameters, all the usual suspects.  No dice, it just doesn't want to load the MSNBC page. frown

OK, so I begrudingly load Google Chrome web browser and go to the MSNBC site and it works but it's the new format! surprise  Ghaaaa, they've changed to the new format and it apparently doesn't work on Windows7.    Grrrrrr angry

Either that, or the Windows7 update yesterday cleared or set some flag that lets the MSNBC website access their Beta version.  Computers, bah humbug! sad

I've just backtracked to the Restore Point before the most recent Win7 update that included their stuff plus an update to my graphics card that I had updated manually a few days ago (I guess they thought that the manufacturer's new driver was not up to snuff. frown)  Regardless, the backtracking seemed to fix the problem.  I now get my "NbcNews.com" (not "MSNBC.com" as I said before) and it displays the old format properly.

However, the trouble is my machine is again downloading the latest Win7 update so I guess this time I'll turn off the option to install the graphics driver update and see if the problem comes back.

As previously stated I have the latest Windows 7 update and use IE11. I can access NBC news and see the banner about the Beta version.

    https://www.nbcnews.com/

I didn't have any recent driver updates though.

    Works OK here too.

I prefer IE too, the only thing that's bugging me is that some sites, including Renderosity, are very slow to complete loading in it. No problem at all with DAZ and other sites without ads so I believe it's because these sites have a lot of advertising scripts and stuff which the Avast WebShield needs to scan for viruses.

EDIT: masked URL in attachment as the site seems to be dubious...

Whatever the problem was, it did not affect just the NbcNews.com site, before I got around to performing the recovery I'd found a couple other sites that gave exactly the same symptoms.  It either had to do with how the graphic driver handled embedded images, or it has to do with updates to the Win7 routines that interface with IE.

Regardless, for the moment I am again a happy camper but I'll be watching for bugagoos in the next updates I permit.

Aside from all the medical issues, and such. I fail to understand how having your body repeatedly jabbed (at a very high speed) by a (maybe) sharp needle filled with (questionably) clean color compounds would in any way "rejuvenate" your life. You can't even handle the medically certified needle for your diabetic injections, with a single jab and sterile liquids. Given what (infinitesimally) scant knowledge I have about you, to rejuvenate (or simply relieve boredom) go volunteer at a rescue shelter, play with buppies and kitties. meet people while doing something that makes you (and the fuzzy ones) happy.

Humans make mistakes too in traffic. I think the point is if self-drivng cars make more or less mistakes than humans, expecially if they're drunk or on drugs what many are these days.
