I like this female character, Edie. She's pretty cool looking. The discounts are pretty good, too. Going for it.
Waiting to see if they decide to give Ollie 8 owners some kind of additional discount. That being said, I really liked Ollie 8 and the results of transferring his head and Zackyr's back to G3M and Edie looks equally fun.
I wonder why the discounts aren't as good as with Ollie. Nevermind, the discount wasn't being applied for some reason. Working now.
*sees green banner for Edie at the top*
Time to contact customer support again.
What do you get a discount for? (No banner here.)
Extra 20% off for the Edie 8 Pro Bundle
Sorry, I meant what condition gives you the discount? Is it owning the Penny 8 pro?
"purchasing several genisis 8 pro bundles in the past..."
Hmm. I have eight, but no banner, message, or discount. Which, as much as I like the look of Edie, is fine, since I get to keep my store credit a bit longer.
Interesting. Okay, I've actually just received the discount. Still no banner or message about it, but the discount now shows.
Ah, okay, I only bought two G8 bundles and I think one of them was a starter bundle, so that's why I'm not seeing anything extra. Which is fair enough.

Now to figure out if the bonuses are applying right. What is the math formula again?
Take the total, divide it by the percentage of the offered discount. Take that subtotal, divide it by the percentage extra discount offered for adding additional items. Take that subtotal, divide it by the green banner discount offered... and that is the actual price the item should cost... right?
Something like that?
Basically you take the total price, apply discount 1, then apply discount 2 to the remainder, and so on.
With a math formula you'd get 134.95 * (1 - 0.3) * (1 - 0.3) * (1 - 0.2) * (1 - 0.3) for 30% intro discount then 30% extra for 2 add-ons then 20% green banner then 30% PC discount (Order of discounts doesn't matter, the result is the same)
Okay, I have the discount now (no banner/message yet). But I won't have time to play (or even install) before Friday, so I'm going to wait.
Ah... Now I'm getting the discount. That's what the problem was. I was wondering. Had the banner earlier, but the discount wasn't applying. Definitely grabbing Edie Pro and other stuff!
How kind of Daz to offer me an extra discount on a bundle I don't really want. If it was useable on the base figure I might have gone for it. Or hell, if it was on a male bundle I'd definitely go for it. Too bad I can't give this to someone else.
Open a Sales Support ticket - as I recall there's actually a caegory for coupon issues. They will refund the lost portion of the coupon.
Think of it in this positive light - When you submit a support ticket to get the lost coupon value back, it becomes store credit that you can spend on anything - not just DOs.
That is what I did. Same thing as you, Galatt. I suspect they'll be giving $4 credits to a lot of PC+ members today.
When a glitch on the sales page gets you excited, until you realize it's a glitch...
Since you're bound to see that nightly with Magento trying to catch up, you should get used to that now. :)
Any reason some Reptilian 6 addons are in the sale but not Reptilian 6 and his main bundle?
Edited to rephrase: Can Richard or another mod confirm that the exclusion of Reptilian 6 is intentional? Thanks in advance.
I know. That hurts. I thought the weapons were the weekly freebies. lol
But why should we HAVE TO? There's no excuse for a page to do catchup due to a shopping cart. I had an online business for years and when my website changed over, it changed over. I had 18,000 products (or more) with tiered shopping levels, varying discounts, and did NOT use modules. There's no reason to use Magento if it continues to underperform.
Of course, it's just so easy to change your whole store system....
Come to think of it, has there ever been an explanation for the long (and increasingly longer) delays at DAZ midnight before updated pages appear, and all the black swirlies turn into actual product links? Is it Magento losing its marbles (again) when they fall on the floor and go skittering everywhere? Is it Cloudflare taking its time synching between all its worldwide server network? Some weird phase-of-the-moon bug?
It wasn't so bad at first, the store used to settle down after 15-20 minutes or so, but for the last several months, the delay's been edging up towards an hour or more. That's just too much.
My guess would be CloudFlare. As they take on more customers, it makes sense to me it would take them longer to update more sites. That doesn't mean I think Magento isn't part of the problem. I suspect the two "work" together to compound the problem.
Of course, this is strictly speculation, but having worked for a web hosting company, it's an educated guess, more or less.
I guess that offer didn't survive the transfer into the shopping cart?
