When a glitch on the sales page gets you excited, until you realize it's a glitch...

I guess that offer didn't survive the transfer into the shopping cart? wink

It doesn't... I've gotten excited about such things, too. :D

Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I swear I read some place that Russian hackers use CloudFare. I'm not geeky enough to know what that affects but I read that..

I was really disappointed to find only two dForce products out of ten new releases today, in spite of the fact the banner says, "Don't Miss the HUGE dForce Sale." I wasn't especting the new releases to be 55% off, but really did expect to see a lot more dForce new releases.
    sad

That's referring to the dforce items here: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-select-content

I know, @Ati. I saw those items before the new releases showed up on the page for me. But with dForce so prominant in the banner, I was expecting more dForce new releases than two. But I suppose Daz is buying as many of those as possible for the Pro bundles and has very few left over for the daily sales! LOL

  • There's stuff I like a lot in that middle section today, and given the utility of it I might even go for it at a mere 55% off - if it was triggered by any New Release, not just today's.

And the buy in sales conundrum continues...

Two items are needed to trigger the extra discount in the Body Mixer sale, but the only two new items I want have a bundled option that is cheaper, which then only counts as one item...

I'm not willing to spend an extra $6 on the unbundled items just to get a discount.   As the thread title says, there are always other sales.  The other stuff I want should go on sale again in the future...

Well I'm not willing to buy two things when the advertisement clearly says "buy ANY" to get the discounts. ANY IS ONE THING. And the categories are clearly listed that it applies to, which is all three. And each requires a minimum of two things to get a discount.

    1. Characters             2. Morphs           3. Tutorials

I'm sure it's not intentional, but the horn it's tooting must be on a different vehicle, because it doesn't apply to that page.

I'm on the same boat. Might just get the Body Mixer bundle and wait for the G8 morphs to be on sale later on. I'm still mostly sticking to G3 anyways.

  • This whole sale is strange: Get 4 products to get 40%. Excuse me? Also that bundle which does not could as two. And finally the Sienna Bundle. Purchased Sienna long ago. The other two products where shown for some hours and then dissappeared. So now neither the bundle nor the two separate products are of any interest to me.

Seeing that on the sale page made me nearly spit out my coffee all over the screen. I was like WHAT!? I was interested in the tutorials but the fact that you have to buy FOUR new releases just to get 40% ...40% off - that's nuts, imo. If you add four of the CHEAPEST new releases from that sale to trigger that 40% off it comes up to $49.58 in the cart. So you have to buy FIFTY DOLLARS worth of merchandice for a mear 40% off. Who what where why? Is there someone new in charge of this sale because that's one of the stingies weirdest and less appealing sales I've seen here in a LOOOONG time.

I was really interested in those tutorals (14 of them from this sale are in my wish list), but having to buy $50 worth of products just to trigger a 40% discount - what?

  • 3Diva3Diva Posts: 11,970

Ok - Despite what the sale says: "GET 40% OFF* WITH PURCHASE OF 4 OR MORE BODY MIXER & TUTORIAL NEW RELEASES ABOVE" - you don't actually have to do that. Playing with the idea of just buying the Tutorials and passing on the $50 worth of product to trigger the discount -I discovered that the wording of the sale is quite wrong. If you just add four of the tutorials in your cart it gives you the 40% off. Still not an amazing deal but at least you don't have to buy trigger items to get that 40% discount.

Sounds like you discovered a glitch… which will soon be fixed.

(Makes no difference to me, though. There is nothing in today's sale I want, new releases or discounted featured products.)

I know now - it sounds like the original wording of the sale might have been the glitch. I've never seen them be so stingy as to require the purchase of FOUR new releases from that day's sale ($50 in purchases) to get a mear 40% off.

    Wow...

36.3 MB/s download speed... Wow. I usually have a tenth of this at best. Either Daz did something to greatly improve their network, or I should always download on the weekends... :D

1.2 MB/s here ...I'm crazy jealous of your internet. :(

    Today's sale is interesting.

You have to break up the order of NEW items to get one of the free Daz Original ones.

I bundled the two AntFarm Facotry items and got a better discount.

But kept Rons and Exo arm spearate.

It was slim pickings for the free stuff and I have no idea why so much Bryce stuff was included.

But this would have been a good sale for stacking discounts...

And last Nightshift's control room feels like a throwback release.

I actually thought it was something I already owned.

And..and he seems to be using hideable parts instead of separate props.

Would love to kit-bash and combine his sets with some of the other vendor's releases.

It's not unusual for me to see that same number, but with a K in place of the M.

Hm. No incentive to buy more than one new item, only one of the highlighted hairs is in my wishlist, artists' catalogues going down to 45% rather than 50% if you buy with a new item. There may always be another sale, but it looks like it won't be today.

I really like the 70s stuff. It was before my time, but it all looks really cool!

I wasn't really interested in the perfume until I took a closer look and saw how much realism and detail went into the different products. I think my girls could use a few bottles of perfume on their dressers. heheh Looks like a great product from a newbie PA! :)

All in all, I think there are some cool releases today.

It looks more like 60's stuff actually. I guess you could pretend it's 1970 or '71 and the room hasn't been redecorated for about 5 years...

Some very cool stuff, but nothing that can't sit in the wishlist for a while.

Yeah, they're quite good copies of the original bottles... And some of the "renamings" are quite funny :)

Well I hear that most things in fashion come back into style eventually, so investing in some late 60's/early 70's garb might pay off in the long run...

    Go Bell Bottoms!

Not sure when Victorian era Dresses are coming back into style, or ancient 'classical' Greek wardrobe for that matter, but anything's possible eventually!

I agree I grew up in the 60's and that was my first thought when I saw the product
