    Just noticed that Stonemason was a featured artist in todays MM.  Really makes me wish the extra 30% off extended to Featured Artists. I would've dropped $100-$200 if it

    This is how I'm looking at it.  I got Kalea 7 Pro and Genevieve 7 pro for about $40 plus the price of two add-ons for Penny 8 and got Penny 8 Pro for free.  Otherwise I would have passed on Penny 8 all together.

    I prefer to think of it as newer customers are incentivised. :)

    I already said my piece about how the current pro bundle sales have been less useful to those that have been really loyal customers up until now...

    Penny 8 has been sitting in my cart for 2 days now.  I've been waiting to see that extra 10% appear in subsequent sales, that appeared with the last few new pro bundles when they went on sale,  To be honest, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if that 'sales perk' went away, but you get used to something happening, then the Daz sales team changes their approach again, which makes it real hard to plan ahead...

    I like straightforward, and being able to plan ahead with my limited Daz budget.  When the 'framework' keeps changing, though, yeah it is a bit annoying...

    I'll leave it at that.

    Yea, it was fine this morning... could be on the user end, where it occassionally drops the reqiured items for whatever reason.

    You're saying it's a browser issue? I've noticed that if it's missing and I then log out, it comes back. Log in again and it disappears again. Same in both IE and Chrome. How consistent this behaviour is I'm not sure though, I've seen some inconsistency other times when I've been experimenting with it.

    Are those flash sales part of the new sale, or was it from last night? It's not discounting the Zev0 items. Didn't know if the sale went off and the page stayed up, or it hasn't done it's thing yet.

    The Flash Sale was 4/12, and pulled at Daz Midnight. Today's sale features Zev0, though, and you can still get 60%… if you buy one of today's new releases and three or more items from the featured artists.

    Yeah, I don't think so,  marketing. I could get the discount in the flash sale, but today there's that buy-all-these requirement to get 60%?  No thanks.

    Speaking of "marketing". 

    30% off $20 then another 10% off that discounted price is not enough of a discount for an "upgrade" of something I already own to a newer version that supports Genesis 8 to get me to:

    A: Buy that upgrade. 
    B: Adopt Genesis 8
    C: Build my loyalty to the PA offering the discount. 

    When Genesis 3 is still really powerful. I already got burned jumping on release day with Zev0s Growing Up G8 morphs to later have the bundle come out at a much cheaper price. I feel like a real discount on characters, clothes, morphs, iray updates, or other things that exist in a previous generation that you already own should be under $10... in general. If it is an update to a program, I understand... but when I have so much invested in Genesis 2 and 3... expecting me to throw another $1000 or more into Genesis 8 just doesn't excite me. 

    The same thing applies for D-Force updates. I'm not sure I want to pay AGAIN to have some object that now takes twice as long just to set up, because now it falls or drapes more naturally - if it doesn't crash. 

    Good ideas... I'm all for progress. Maybe if I were doing this professionally. I guess that is the thing... I'm spending a lot less because as a hobby so far - this new generation is just too pricey for me. 

    Guess I'lll wait for the next big blowout sale on Genesis 1, 2 or 3 and scoop up the Day Old Bread deals when they come around.

    50% off a list price I couldn't justify buying it at in the first place, being that I already own a version that isn't that much different. If the reduced price was the list price and it was 50% off THAT, it would be a no brainer for me. Really, something like this should be a free upgrade for earlier version owners, and sold at a premium price as a bundle or a cross-generaton character to new purchasers. On other stores when updates are free, it builds loyalty with that PA for me.

    Green Bonus, Orange Banner. Same thing. Owners of Zev0's Molly for G3F got an additional discount on Molly for G8F through the weekend.

    Like @donovancolbert, it wasn't enough to get me to buy something else specific to G8F. (I have purchased G8F stuff, but most of the things I own for G8F are multi-generational, supporting G3F as well. I'm more likely to buy hair and clothing for G8F because I know how to fit them to G3F without auto-fit. It's not the product, just my determination to not spend a lot of money on generation 8, like I did on generation 7.

    I believe Zev0 put a lot of work into Molly G8F and I don't think he should practically give it away to owners of Molly G3F. The man has bills to pay, and needs to eat, just like the rest of us. I hope Molly G8F does really well for him. There are a lot of people realtively new to Daz Studio, who are starting with G8. And to those people I say, anything from Zev0, for the generations you're using, is a good investiment and worth the price.

    I don't know where else to post this, but has the DAZ Deals plugin been malfunctioning lately? I keep getting emails for discounts that aren't actually there, and they're usually during the middle of the day too.

     

    For instance, I'll see that I'll get a wishlist alert. I open the product and there's nothing there. I open it later in the day and there's still nothing there.

    This really was a very short sale, at least at the lower price. Not the shortest I remember, but I see that many of you were not able to see the lower prices. Did anyone manage to still catch the better sale?

    I'm finding that I'm appreciating the 'lull' r.e. killer sales.  There's stuff I wouldn't mind having, but I can wait for better sales...

    There's been some fairly good deals this week, but ultimately I have passed so far.

    I agree with the sentiment that Zev0 makes good products.  However, I am getting tired of rebuying items for G8.  I think it's a better deal for new buyers.

    Yup. No argument that Zev0 is one of my favorite PAs, and I have no problem supporting him... 

    But getting $5 from me by selling Molly G8F as an UPGRADE to previous owners while still selling to new people at full price is better than getting NOTHING from me because the best discount brings Molly to $11, and I already have her for a previous generation. 

    More than that... alienating me with bundles that punish me for being a day 1 buyer and trying to sell me at full price what should arguably be an upgrade for loyal customers is a way to make me get very hesitant about buying any new product from a PA, as well. Especially when lots of other PAs actually seem to be doing things like releasing cross platform updates for their content for free. 

    As a consumer, no matter how much I like an artist or admire their work, I have to pay attention to details of how they do business like that.

    And at the other end of the spectrum we get some PAs who seem to release the exact same thing with different material maps and charge as if it is a new and unique item. Artists like that lose my interest really quick... 

    "My all new character figure!" 

    Wait... that is just your LAST character figure with thinner, arched eyebrows and freckles...

    "Yeah, but it took a lot of work to do that, and I named it something different... so... $19.99!" 

    Nope.
