    Today's Bonus buyer item is Urban Future 5. If you have that, you get an extra 10% on certain items. See the very top of the sales page.

    I just did one of those "Escape from the Room" events where you have to figure out a bunch of clues and riddles to get to the end of the quest and get out of the door. 

    Today's banner ad was harder to dechiper than anything in that room. 

    I can't imagine what people who don't know about this thread are doing right now... buying the Wasp Suit and then being upset when it doesn't trigger anything else, I imagine.

    I was thinking the same thing, I'm pretty sure last years bonus items were free.

    I'm telling you guys... that Genesis 3 glitch in the December sale made DAZ's heart shrink 3 sizes that day. :) 

    It was The Glitch Who Stole Christmas! 

    *drum roll* 

    Anyhow... last year I think March Madness started really slow... and the moderators were telling us, "We have to build up momentem and excitement, we can't just come out on with our best mind-blowing deals on day one..." 

    Although I'm missing the freebies and the Platinum Club bundles and Build Your Own Bundles of years past, which I feel like started on day one... and this "bonus item that isn't AWESOME but you still need to pay a little for it and buy a qualifying new item or two when the cheapest start at $7..." deal... doesn't feel like such a great deal to me. 

    So, so far... I'm waiting for DAZ to blow my mind...

    I've got money I can spend.  But with MM, I'm way too confused to figure how to buy the stuff I don't really need, and there isn't any enticing discounts showing up for the stuff I do need.

    Sadly, while I still have the emails from last year, the images were all online, but are no longer, so I can't see what the exact details were...

    Last year they had a banner for (some?) people announcing that they were "Bonus Buyers" (I have no idea what the criteria were) - looked like this.

    Then in the following days there were freebies for these people - a couple of samples below. (I've been screenshotting almost every sale for the last three or four years because I'm a terrible addict and control freak blushdevil

    From memory, the criteria were simply to have bought something non-free in the past 2 or 3 days.

    The sku lower than 16000 bonus was good. I'm still hoping we're going to have something like that, combined with some additional discounts, this year, too.

    So, last year the 10% off worked on gift cards and memberships. Anyhow, looking forward to better sales down the line!

    Me too! I've been tempted by three or four new release this year, but just when I'd made my mind up the "10% bonus" qualifier changed from something I had to something I didn't. Ah well, maybe catchup will bring me a better deal.

    Last years wasn't as good as the year before. That first year is when all the Generation 4 pro packages were blowing out at $4 each. 

    It helped me get a handle on what the difference was between the characters and generatons... ie, M4/V4. M5/V5, M6/V6 and M7/V7... Aiko, The Girl, The Freak, Stephanie... I loaded up on that sale. It was what made me go from browsing to buying content.

    I remember getting the banner. I also had some kind of deal that got me the Karen 7 pro bundle for very little.

    Is anyone else having an issue with using the $6 off Platinum Club coupon and getting a free core Gen 3 character?

    I put Liliana and Curly Top hair in my cart.. both new/still new releases and Daz Originals.   Using the $6 off coupon the price properly goes from $15.37 to $9.37.  If I add the "free" Gen 3 core figure though, the total price then increases to $13.15.  So its adding on about $4 for the "free" character in the total, even though it clearly shows $0.00 for the item in the summary.  (The individual prices of the other two items increases.)  Remove the "free" character from the cart and the price drops back down to $9.37.

    Am I missing something here, or is this just another glitch?

    Pretty sure that's a known glitch I've seen folks post.

    I think people work around it by logging a ticket afterwards, asking Daz to credit the remainder of the coupon, or something like that.

    Yes, it's known problem. The cart software applies the coupon, and then the code for the free item(s). There are two solutions. One is, as Toonces said, to use the coupon and ask Customer Support for a refund of the difference. CS is good about refunding the difference. The other is to not use the coupon on carts with free items in them, and is the easier of the two options.

    i don't see either one listed in the newly mad or still mad section which is what the banner says.

    I see. I guess I'll skip shopping.  It's early in the month.  Maybe some better coupon-burning options will come along.  I needed more Poser hair products like I need a hole in the head any way (I think my hair products runtime was 40+ gigs before my runtime drive malfunctioned last year).  Thanks.
