As I said, one more straw of that nonsense ... and I do know another store where I can leave my money ... Looks like DAZ doesn't care if customers are angry.  Well, I don't care who get's my money as long as I'm a happy customer. WHICH I  AM NOT TODAY!

This is why I keep saying that it's better not to announce how long a sale lasts... If they didn't specify Sunday, then everyone would be a little pissed now that the sale was pulled. This way, people are very pissed.

Indeed.  I would have checked out yesterday, but, being an Optimist, thought "Since it goes until Sunday, I'll wait; they might add more items." Now my $10.88 cart is $91.64...  angry

I wasn't hoping for mor items, I just wanted more time to add more stuff ... well, luckily there is an "Empty cart" button.

It's a long time since I spent money here, and I was going to, for V4/M4 stuff.

Oh well - Daz doesn't want my money.

Yes, 14+ pages is a lot to go through in one day.

Think they might have added one item, as I'm pretty sure that the Hospital Bed wasn't there yesterday... frown

For me it was 27 pages showing 60 items per page.  Now there's 4 pages.

Could you give me the link? Maybe I can find something to spend my PC coupon on (two more months and I am out of PC).

    Thanks!

  • The link in the newsletter should also still work, if you kept that.

  • Still more weirdness with the V4M4 sale.  A couple of examples:

Defenders of Atlantis bundle is part of the sale.  Of its two component products, Shades of Atlantis is in the sale, Wild Heart Wildenlander is not.

There are many texture sets that are part of the sale, but many of the actual corresponding wardrobe products are not.  The Clarice outfit is on sale for 60% off but doesn't appear to be part of the sale, but the add-on Triumph for Clarice is part of the sale.

Again, was this selection just randomly generated?  There just seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.

I'm quoting myself as I posted a couple of comments here about weird inconsistencies with the sale but never received any responses. I was hoping for some clarification before checking out and now my cart is back to full price - all PA items.  I usually give DAZ the benefit of the doubt as they always seem to make things right but this time I'm feeling pretty frustrated.

Nothing left there I even remotely need ... About a hundred Items I was interested in are gone from the definitely not anymore massive blow-out-sale. More like a micro-old-DAZ-originals-leftover-sale.

  • DAZ, step in and communicate. You pissed lot of your costumers. Step in and explain, what happened. It not like you didnt noticed it.

If you're going to change the contents of the sale, please make an effort to at least change the sales top image. The Cyborg Version 4 has already been pulled out.

It's not yet 8:00 AM in DAZ Land, so give them some time; they were probably up late watching Olympic Curling...

Good luck with that.  It's an old pattern for this place.  Wouldn't hold my breath. angry

Yeah, the new version of the M4V4 sale doesn't have anything I want either.  Just dumped the content that had gone back to full price, and removed Edward 8 from my cart as a form of protest as well.

Same here. The V4/M4 items are back at regular price.

Wow, they removed it and replaced the sale with a 60% for G3, G8 and hair products. I really wish I checked out my cart earlier.

So, the sale is just gone? Not clear on that. Dealt with an autistic child all day yesterday and figured I'd have the weekend to browse. Hope springs eternal. Oh, well...

I just noticed that I have three DO items in may cart that are discounted, and I'm a PC member, but they are only 86% off, not 93% off...

There was a problem during DAZ Midnight when the sale was removed. It is now "fixed". The M4-V4 sale is still available but with a massive reduction of qualifying items. It's now limited to just DAZ Originals.

You need 4 items to get the 93%.

Really shouldn't be a problem if the duration is honored! I would prefer to know how long a sale lasts, so I had appreciated the announcement, until I got screwed from relying on it.

DOH!  Of course, last night I had 10...  frown

  • I will agree it is frustrating, but let us give DAZ a chance to correct things. It is apparent that they have had a major glitch that worked against the customer.  I have spent hours going through the M4/V4 list and picked out many items that are sitting in a cart waiting as well. Give them a chance, it was nighttime and on a weekend - hopefully it will get resolved properly.

I actually prefer knowing how long sales last as long as it means the same thing the whole time (i.e. no rotating content in categories). Having time to think is always nice. :-)

I suspect some of the sales weren't organized well from the beginning, with many items included that were never meant to be part of the sale.. Then, someone higher up in the sales department hierarchy wakes up, after having been called by angered content creators that never agreed to be part of the sale, panics, puts everything off-line, and then reinstalls the sale the way it was originally meant to be - usually much smaller than before.

Most of the sales glitches off late seem to have been caused by sales being put up sloppily and overly rushed.

Some early birds catch some worms; whoever takes his or her time for finishing his shopping cart misses out.

And ends up in threads like this one.

Nope. Didn'd end up in this thread. Did end up at Renderosity for buying.

If it had changed during the day, that would make sense. The sale was up all day and did not change until the midnight switchover. And with ALL of the marketing saying very specifically that the V4/M4 sale was good until Sunday, the sale has to be left until Sunday. It will put them in violation of false advertising regulations if they just flat remove it, and with how drastically it was changed when it went back online, they may still be on the wrong side of those regulations. I'm hoping they are just trying to restore the page from backups is why it hasn't been reverted correctly, nothing I had planned on buying is still in the sale at the moment.

We can only suggest taking a screen shot of your cart and opening a Sales Support ticket
