We can only suggest taking a screen shot of your cart and opening a Sales Support ticket

I haven't done this before, so what exactly is suggested here? Take a screenshot of the cart and ask them to apply discounts before purchase, or buy and ask for partial refund? Latter option makes me nervous, as $450 is a lot to just spend, even if everything is refundable within 30 days.

(Reduced the number of quotes, so this is actually a quote from Richard; don't know how to change that.)

  • I ended up getting about $450 list worth of items for about $35 after my coupon last night... so I suspect if there was a glitch, it wasn't one working against the customer's favor.

I dunno. What is the thread name? Anything I missed - I know it'll come back around... possibly cheaper than I would have paid for it in this sale. I can wait.

Today's banner sale doesn't move me. Daz knows where the discounts have to get to before I open up my wallet. We play a game... Daz says... "

"Would you buy it for THIS price?!?"

And I go... "Man... I'd really like to... but no... I would not buy it at that price..."

And a little while DAZ comes back and goes... "Ok... how about at THIS price?"

And I load up my cart and think about it and go... "Nope. That is even better, but still not quite enough..."

And then, DAZ goes... "What about THIS price?!?"

And I go... "OK! Now we're talking! Here, take my money!"

  • And just now another $35 list worth of stuff for $.78 with the remaining coupon. Got my coupons both burned... got some stuff I want, a couple things I had my eye on were removed, so they're the ones that got away... which is what keeps me coming back. I think Daz knows exactly what they're doing. :)

I’m still stuck on this idea that one can mysteriously earn money _instead_ of browsing the store. I do hourly creative work right now and there’s still a fixed amount of work available for me to do — and a functional limit on how much my brain can create in a day.

I can sympathize with Daz wanting to do right by PAs who had not consented to be part of the sale, and fixing the sale to remove the items that were included by mistake. I'm just annoyed that they didn't get it right the first time.

How do you know that items were included by mistake?

K, the Huge V4-M4 sale is back up again.

And cart prices went back to full price. Have no idea what they're supposed to be but they were very low before.

Depends on how many items you put in the cart. See attached screenshot, (page 1 of 31!)

Well I had over 4, but all were among those that were removed.

Otherwise they wouldn't have removed them.

  • Even from business logic - most important part of any business is costumer with money. Not a store, not even content makers nowadays. If you make good content in perfect online store, but nobody buys, you're done. If you make bad content, sell it in terrible online store, but people happily buy it - everyone wins. That is why most companies never risk screwing custumers, who pays money. They can take losses for mistakes they made, they can talk to supliers and explain situation, but never mess with buyers. DAZ done exacly that - screwed loyal paying costumers. Like I said, it is bad business decision. I already asked to refund my 550 dollars I spended last 30 days alone. They will loose it and more then that every month I will not spend a cent in this store. Instead of getting from me extra 300 dollars on this sale. Even if they would loose money on this deal, they would save raputation, keep costumers and content creators happy and in long run will earn way more. If more people, who buy a lot, would do same thing, DAZ would be here already apologising and fixing problems instead of playing waiting game till everybody forgets this incident. If more people demanded support anwer in 24, not 72 hours and stop buying till it happens, we already would have this. Obviously, nobody cares to much and DAZ can use this doing stuff like that.

You do realize that it's a weekend, right? :)

  • Ati, but you realize its weekend sale? And you realize, that if somebody spend thousand on some digital product, it might have expectation to gel help even on weekends? DAZ will spend 3 days to answer even during working days. And las thing - your realize that during weekend soembody have found time to hide offer, to change sale contant, to fix links form emails, but not to answer cotumers lets say with one poste in this forum like this "Sorry guys, we have technical problemas. Dont worry, we will fix it on Monday." Is this standart to hight for DAZ?

This is why I keep saying that it's better not to announce how long a sale lasts... If they didn't specify Sunday, then everyone would be a little pissed now that the sale was pulled. This way, people are very pissed.

Really shouldn't be a problem if the duration is honored! I would prefer to know how long a sale lasts, so I had appreciated the announcement, until I got screwed from relying on it.

    +1

There were a "massive" number of items from RuntimeDNA in the original sale. Daz owns those, too. So even if they removed items from PAs who hadn't consented to be part of the sale, why would they remove the RDNA stuff? They're just Daz Originals without the member discount! (IMO, of course.)

The bottom line here is, I'm not spending $129 on products I'm not even sure I can use, but was willing to try at 90% off. Nor am I going to purchase the cart at the higher price and then depend on customer service to make it right. I did that with the 2016 Christmas Day sale and got burned. I was so pissed off about that fiasco my spending at Daz dropped to almost nothing for nearly six months. Looks like that's about to happen again.

We keep being told the forums represent a small number of Daz Customers. The way I see it, that just means the majority of their customers don't bother to come in and complain when this sort of thing happens. They just dump their carts and spend their money elsewhere.

I do. And I've been trying very hard to give Daz the benefit of the doubt.

But I also realize that someone managed to put the sale back up in the wee hours of Saturday morning, Daz Time... and someone managed to decimate the category an hour or two after that... still in the wee hours of Saturday morning, Daz Time. It's now 1 pm, Daz Time, and the best we get from Daz is the poor (overworked and underappreciated) Mods telling us to take a screenshot and file a support ticket.

(Any and all ire is aimed at Daz, not at Ati; Not at any of the Mods; Not at anyone else posting about this fiasco.)

I'm involved with another webshop at a technical level (selling physical goods, not digital), so I can imagine what it would look like if a sale started on Friday, and turned out to be an error. I would stop the sale to stop any more losses, but it would not be my duty to inform anyone about what's going on. That's the marketing department's or owner's table, and they don't work over the weekend--other than maybe alerting me to stop something that has gone terribly wrong.

Now I have no idea if that's the case here or not, I'm just telling you what it would look like in a totally different store, if such a thing happened over the weekend.

On the other hand, if I wanted to buy something that was on sale, and was under the impression that I can wait till Sunday, then I would be totally frustrated, too. That's the downside of announcing end dates.

I did submit a sales ticket some 7 hours ago but  haven''t gotten any reply  and my cart is still at full price. If they can't honor their sale then I don't want to do business with DAZ and I am not inclined to buy anything else. I'm even considering returning all my non-free purchases from the last 30 days; but I'll wait and see how DAZ responds to my ticket.

  • Ati, sure. Last thing from me. Stuff like that is scarry not only because it shows, how company treats costumers. For me, it is scary to buy something from company, wich priority is only money. Not costumer, not reputation, not values or long term plans. I spended five digits sum on this site. Look, this is my help ticekt from 2016 december sale:

"I atached screen shot. Till New year you offered me extra 30 proc. on all purchaes. It worked till today. Now it is a compleate mess. It works on some itmes (space trooper I attached), no extra discount on others (item next to it), smaler discounts on others. This prevents me from buying and I start to wonder if I was tricked this way in my prior purchases."

Nothing changes. Company says they have best year ever, bet support is still bad, promises not kept, same problems again and again. There are good creators, but DAZ as online store have no trust from my side. Small details like why cant you separate DAZ, Poser, Carrara, Bryce items when you sell it? How many people make mistake purchasing wrong format when buy many items? No quality supporty preventing people to ask more is same story. Many more. DAZ dont respect me and I start to feel same way about company.

In short, this is sort of company, that one day can say - DAZ 5 is up, prior content will not work on new "improved" platform, but good news is we will give you 30% dicount on new items. Or simply go broke leaving all the costumers hanging. When your priority is how to make quick dollar, not build trust from comunity, you usualy go this path eventualy. And that is sad for me. I will wait till Monday, but I am sure nothing is changing, like no changes happened all that time. Its mentality of company shareholders question and I am sad to pay money for people with such way of thinking. That is why i will not. DAZ for me was mainly tool for my preziv projekcts and illustrations. I will use IClone and buy its content. Right now I am sad I didint do it in first place, but earned Animate, bought lots of stuff here that will not be in use. Lesson learned. Going to bed, its night in my side of globe :)

It wasn't an error. DAZ clearly offered a 90% discount on older items that often get deep discounts.

I wasn't suggesting you'd get an isntant response, just that you would have it on record while the offer was still live (if curtailed compared to yesteday).

Okay. I'll keep my fingers crossed... (But don't ask me to hold my breath... I'm too old and too out of shape to last more than a few seconds!)

Just checked and it hasn't changed yet. I have to be away from the computer off and on for the next few hours. So, if they do fix it I hope they leave it up until at least DAZ midnight

  • I can understand wanting sort options for the store that allow you to find content for non-standard software like Carrara and Maya, but since most of what is in the store is designed for Studio and may work in Poser (not everyone will want to go through the extra steps, but even G3 and G8 can be made to work there), why is it so hard to click on a link to the item's store page to see if it's able to be used in Poser?

Maybe the 90% off M4/V4 is for next weekend and showed up this weekend by mistake.

  • I went to check out this morning after waking from a cold-medicine induced slumber... nearly had a coronary.  Dumped my now $900+ list of items.  Even if they brought it back, I don't have time this weekend to go hunting through all pages.  Waste of time.

If it gets fixed I think they oughta extend it at least another full day to make up for the inconvenience.

You can use the "Software" dropdown list to filter the store to items that work with a certain software.
