I think they're doing a different promotional approach, you buy three things to get the further discount. It drops it down into the $40 range, which is what the banners normally did. I don't see them dropping it when you buy three things AND giving additional discounts in a banner. Also, all the freebies (bundles) makes me think they are done so far as incentives.
Let's see.....3 free pro bundles, 3 items from the 'additional category' and the Alexandra 8 Pro bundle. Four Pro Bundles and 3 additional items for $65 with PC+ discounts and everything else. I don't think an orange banner is NEEDED. I pulled the trigger when I saw what was in the 'get free DAZ Originals with purchase.'
That's around $16 per pro bundle and the rest free. That's an amazing deal. Of course, if you already OWN all the Pro Bundles in the free selections, not so much. But still.
I was trying to hold off on any DAZ spending until March Madness. This offer knocked me off the wagon.....

Except that under this approach you have to spend additional money to get down into the $40 range, which probably adds up to more than just buying the Pro Bundle at the regular intro discount. But no one wants to pay too much, so we spend 70 or 80 dollar to buy a $66 item at reduced price and think we have a deal. People are weird. LOL
Yes, the idea is probably to make people buy more, but if you want the extra items anyway and/or don't have the free bundles and want them it's a good deal.
It is a deal, whether a user can justify the money is another story. Costco uses the same plan, bulk buying to save money.
With previous Name 8 pro Bundle orange banners the banners were for people who already had the earlier Pro Bundles that were offered free with the new one - since the offer this time is a pool of freebies, much larger than the earlier offers, rather than thematically related Pro Bundles there isn't the same issue of people already having all of the items and so missing out. If you do already have everything then as I said above, try opening a Sales Support ticket.
Yeah. My biggest issue is that I have most every g3 pro bundle or all of the items I want from them. It's still not a bad deal.
I like Alexandra...but would have liked an aged body option...muffin top, more sagging skin areas...maybe age spots. That way she would be a base elder model to combine with other character shapes.

It is a good deal, but I'm already close to the top of the February budget, so it'll be just the base character with the Platinum coupon for me.
Exactly. I didn't think the body matched the face very well. I wouldn't want age spots, those should be optional (just like blush, makeup, etc) but a second option for saggier skin would have been very appropriate if she is indeed aging. Not everyone has saggy skin or muffin tops but since the theme was a maturing model, it should have been an option IMO.
Yep... I've got loads of great looking model figure and fit bodies to build good looking characters. I'm fine with her having a fit older body. It would just be nice if she had the less fit option for when a mature and less well preserved character is needed.
I think age spots would be a good makeup option...if LIE, they could be used with other skins too.
Bought her. She's just too good, I wished for mature characters a lot, and with the free items as incentives, it was a no-bainer.
Ugh. Last day for Sahel discount, I think, so I should decide if I want her. But there's also the new Littlefox hair, which looks it has a TON of rigging...
I missed the last gift card sale and now thal I have my tax refund I need a new one but buying 2 expensive items I don't need would cost more than I would save on the gift card. That doesn't make economic sense to me; so, still hoping for a better gift sale before March Madness.
It would be nice if they had a gift card sale that didn't require purchasing anything specefic. Maybe just buy anything in the store over specefic dollar amount, and then get a percentage off gift cards. That I'd take advantage of.

Yep. The one before the current one (i.e. the one I missed) only required any new release including PC+.
Sometimes there is no required purchase, just a minmum value of gift card purchased to get the best discount
All these complicated sales are really starting to give me a headache, trying to figure out the best deals--well, that's really nothing new. But what on Earth different are they going to do for March Madness? Do they continue to offer all these sales so we won't wait till March Madness to buy? Or will March Madness be a let down because it won't really be any different from normal sales...? I guess new realeases will be 50% off instead of 30% and maybe PA items off at 60%? But if they lower prices on anything purchased since February 1st they'll have a whole lot of tickets...

March Madness was the best experience, ever.
I built my entire library and EVERY DAY something awesome came out. And it just...never...stopped.

Well, the only thing that can beat that is a glitch.
I'm actually scared and a little less excited. I mean, there can't be THAT MUCH new stuff coming. It would have taken months to prepare AND I got a ton of older items since then.
But if they start doing clearance, there's still a million Gen 3 items I want.
I never got the Stonemason Western Town and Antfarm has some stuff I don't have an exact need for, but still want. My Wishlist is 803 items.
Last March Madness did more than chop it in half (when it was around 400). We'll see. It's grown HUGE since then. Don't think I can repeat that feat. lol
I'm hoping for some good deals in mm. The new release prices have been out of my range for the most part. Lots of good stuff...just out of my budget. My WL has gotten huge again.
One of the good things about the big sales like MM and the PA/PC sales, is that because the new releases are a lot cheaper, then the cost to trigger any associated discounts on related older items becomes much lower as well.
Just a heads up, regarding Sci-Fi Interior Kit 3 I posted (in my thread) some of the features that you wouldn't know about based on the product page. Here's the link. Mely3d did a super job with different material zones so you can add your own print/signs, and making walls separate so you can get great camera angles. I'd really give this product a look.
I was hoping for a new gift card before March Madness; but once again the price of admission to a discounted card is too high. It just doesn't make sense to buy two items from a very limited selection when I don't need any of them.
It's not about making sense to you or anyone, it's about DAZ generating sales, which is their whole purpose for being.
In my experience, MM isn't that big of a deal and the sales are not as great as glitches, but I am open to being surprised this year.

Well, can recommend the hair from Kool as well as Julienne from Raiya. Did not opt for the 10% gift card, last offer was better. Unfortunately they removed the valentine gift card promo so no stacking gift card discouts. Also had those morph packages already, bummer!
