...all you folks having lovely spring weather. Opened the shades here when I woke up and
GAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
Morning. Deep red dawn sky giving way to grey-streaked blue and a gusting wind is picking up anything not fixed to the ground, feels a little like autumn :)
Is snow ?
...
We got those here as well ;;)
A palindrome:)
Blue sky and 61F here right now! Tomorrow is supposed to get even warmer...maybe breach 70F! Feels like Spring. It won't last, though.
Dana
looks more like pixelation to me. needs attention from Auntie Alias.
It was obviously shot through a window screen.
Dana
glass is much better for windows.
...exactly, due in part to the screens on the outside of the window. Phone camera doesn't have focal range settings.
Still coming down two and a half hours later.
Dr.s appt on Thursday. that happened fast. gues it helps when nurse neighbor makes the apt for ya.
is happening too fast, terrified. up there with ferris wheels, subway tunnels.

she was throwing big medical words at me. kinda like when i talk computers to people, what it's like for them lol
Hot Cross Buns in the shops are the first sign it is No Longer Christmas. Along with Cadbury's Creme Eggs. (usually on Boxing Day!)
Complaint: My central heating pump just went "Bang clatter clatter clatter kaboom silence." And now there is no more hot.
This is the second major failure in my heating system so far this Winter. Ho hum!
Actually the company I use for my on line grocery shopping has had Hot Cross Buns as a regular item permanently since last Easter. They have removed the normal fruit buns, which were not good, and now stock the hot cross ones, which are really nice.
Crossed buns sounds painful.
Well, I accomplished part of my mini-adventure. Had lunch, yum, meat. But I didn't go to the movie. Weather in Erie turned rainy so I slipped between the drops coming out of the restaurant, got into my car just as the clouds opened up, so I just drove home. However, I did stop at the big truck stop outside of Erie (rain hadn't reached there yet) and oogled at all the trucker stuff. Clamps and fuses and lights oh my! And CDs & DVDs and bungie cords galore. Lots of trucker stuff.
Bought an ice cream bar for dessert (much cheaper than the $8 that Outback wanted to charge me). Looked at the display of super rich fudge but decided against it.
On the way back I listened to my CD of "The Gadfly" suite by Dimitri Shostakovich. Several interesting pieces in it. Parts of it are very lively. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWReGCOFCGo for example at 5:10 & 12:50 Other parts are romantic, or forboding or sound like circus music. Moods abound in this collection of pieces. Some of the themes are recognizable from movie backgrounds. However, the most famous theme from the Gadfly is probably the piece titled "Romance" at 19:30.
hot buns makes me think of something else entirely
i cant think of a more epic love story than Han and Leia
aww content paradiso remembered my birthday.
well thats it then, scratch another orbit on spaceship earth. joy ride lol
I use my Keurig to make hot water for soup and instant coffee. The pods aren't recyclable in Austin so it adds a ton of non-biodegradable trash to the environment.
If you don't care about that, though, many pods have some seriously good coffee. :-p
NOTE: ex-Californian here. That should explain it all.
Going to EERIE, PA huh? Say 'hi' to the Munsters and Morticia/Gomez for me!! :-O
A couch princess is a woman that sits on the couch all day watching soaps, making her hubby bring her cake frosting to eat. :-|
They're all the rage in the U.K! ;-p
It's actually Yummu, Sumerian deity of ot pateries. Not the most popular deity in the Sumerian panthen, oddly enough.
I had a jar wench once. She moved on to executivve assistant at Intel...
AAAUUUGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
Sounds nice, but not a day to be The Flying Nun...!
Don't you have window screens over there? They're important for keeping bugs out when you want some fresh air.
Dana
Darn pixies ruin everything!!!
If I put the camera right up against the window, it usually focuses well. Of course, I try to avoid the screens. We have windows that raise to open, so I can shoot out the top window, which has no screen behind it. In the kitchen, over the sink, we have a sliding window. On the left, there is no screen.
Dana
Well, that blows.. erm, wait.. doesn't blow.. oh, bother..
That's not good.
The first time I heard the phrase 'hot cross buns' was at a bondage club in San Francisco!!!
Rather ruined thing for me... :-/
