Went back down AGAIN and I checked out REALLY quickly.
For better or worse, mentioning glitches on this thread tends to get them fixed faster. Just sayin'.
It's four days into Dec. and I've blown my entire Dec. budget getting my highest priority items from my wishlist (and then some thanks to the glitch on Sat). Well, I guess I have $10 left, LOL.
Not sure if this was a reply to me? It's just been really crazy lately. My cart was fluctuating so quickly that I wasn't sure I'd be able to check out. That's all.
No, just a general observation.
Ah, okay.
Wow, I must be late to the party, as the only items on my WL at 71% off are PC items...
The problem is that when your items in your cart go from 71% off to 65% off, but then the items that were 83% off, are still 83% off, it's next to impossible to tell if the new higher price is a correction of the previous glitch, or if the new higher price is a new glitch. Basically I don't know what is a glitch and what isn't a glitch anymore. We're reaching levels of glitch that shouldn't be possible.
Well there's still these.... But I assume these are correct prices as they've been this low all day, even after they fixed what I guess were other gltiches, who the F knows at this point. Ii'm done with this. The stuff I really wanted all went up in price.
Everything that you said above is valid, except... DAZ is not the only 3D store where we can spend our limited budgets,
If I have $20.00 to spend every week (just kidding), and I spend 10 at another site, that 10 is gone from DAZ for good.
I realize that this is just anecdotal, but I have spent more over there than over here this year, and it's getting worse.
Probably because I've pretty much mined out everything I want here, but not there. And have no interest in G8.
Which is why this sale has done me little good, because I own no G8 characters!
But the fact is, DAZ has to address customer concerns because they are not a monopoly. And they generally do a pretty
good job of it.
They cannot address specific concerns like mine, because that's not how big business works. But neither can the other sites.
So I'll keep spending my budget wherever it does me the most good.
Daz and you PAs, just stop. Stop it it already! Stop making good stuff. Save the animals and make some fugly yugly stuff. If I keep up spending at the rate I have been spending, on stuff, irresistible yummy stuff, that you shake and bake, I will be chokehold wrestling the dogs and cats for their canned food. I avoid looking my pets in the eyes these days, because if you keep this up, and the canned food runs out ... :( Deep sigh. Knock it off why don't ya? Your indisputable to die for skills are killing me and may be the demise of my pets. Yes you should feel guilty . . . very, very guilty, for being so bodacious. And DAZ shame on you for putting on this loyalty sale. How dare you give away boots and sweaters when it's fre-eeee-zing outside. Shame on you and your PA's for being so generous.
It should be fixed now. Thank you for keeping an eye out for everybody :)
The amount of products is correct, but the prices are not. Have 4 featured artsit items in my cart along with a debut new item and a regular new item and still only 40% off instead of 50% plus the loyalty discount, just an FYI
Which is a polite way of saying, "stop talking about glitches in the forums."
Meanwhile, my cart jumped from just over $9 to just under $13 - saving me at LEAST just over $9 today. I suppose Sy is releaved he didn't LOSE the money on the deal that he would have had in his account if I had bought his two products that I didn't. ;)
Holiday Loyalty Rewards Sale page those stores are supposed to go 50% with new release in the cart (I have Mousso's from today ) and Silver's Slash Swimsuit Bundle and Sewa both just stay at 41% off. They don't go 50% AND don't apply loyalty rewards either. At all.
Considering your budget may encompass ALL 3D stores is a great point.
Still, there'd be an average amount you spent at Daz.
I could see a concern if a huge dropping off of the averages was occuring across many buyers.
Then, the first choice matters, it's probably a hassle to jump back and forth betwwen two stores everyday trying to divide up a budget.
Cart-balancing is enough of a hobby on here, alone.
Then, you'd probably shop at your favorite place first- most items- most discounts.
THEN go check the other place.
That's why that daily release of new items is so unbeatable. It builds the habit of checking the shiny and new, and for other stores that do not update as often, you might cruise there less.
So hours go by and those stores are still only doing 40%. Just took the items all out of the cart as store is changing over anyway. Lost sales for Daz.
Tomorrow's freebie, a sugar cube.
Novica is right.
Buyers should take screen shots of the offers, take scrren shots of thge cart and submit a ticket if the numbers are out of whack. Use a spread sheet from excel or open office to help you ascertain what the the bottom line should be. If you don't have a cart screen shot you are SOOL. Not a fool just s**t out of luck.
Almost didn't buy anything today (again) and dumped my cart. Then I reconsidered, and added 'Scene Optimizer", hoping it would help with a scene that caused Studio to freeze every time. But, five or six minutes after installing it I now have Studio happily rendering the scene. So, I can certainly recommend https://www.daz3d.com/scene-optimizer to any one struggling to render large scenes. Even if you buy nothing else.
I see I'm not the only one having an issue with the pricing on the Holiday Loyality Rewards Sale.
The issue I am having is that under the Genesis Add-On sale, anything marked with a discount indicator (i.e. -40%) does not apply the 60% discount. It does apply my Loyalty Rewards amount, but that's it. This is actually causing any of these products marked with a discount to be more expensive than if not marked.
For example, the Michi HD for Victoria 7 is a base price of $19.95 currently marked down 40% to $11.97. At checkout the final price after Loyalty Discount is showing at $8.98. Now I've also got the Gwenbleiz HD and Beard for Michael 7 in the cart also, which also has a base price of $19.95 but no markdown indicator. At checkout this item is showing a final price, after the 60% and then the Loyalty Discount, of $5.98. So the marked down item is actually showing up to be MORE expensive than if it wasn't marked down 40%!
I'm not sure if it is intended that an additional 60% be taken off of the already marked down 40%, but in any case it is still showing a higher price at checkout than if they just took the 60% off the base price.
I submitted a help desk ticket about 10 hours ago, which they did reply to. But they just told me to clear my cache/cookies and make sure I'm logged into my account. I had already done that, I informed them of such in the original ticket. I tried again and also on a different computer. Still no fix.
I wasn't necessarily planning on purchasing any of these items. But if the 60% were to additionally be taken off the already reduced 40% off, that would be a good deal worth considering.
Two additional things to note. Yes, I do own Victoria 8 (base) so the 60% should apply (as it does correctly on the Gwenbleiz item and other non-marked discount items in this category.) Also, unlike the other Loyalty Sale categories, the Genesis Add-On Sale clearly states that "Discount applies in shopping cart."
Hopefully they get it fixed, but be sure to keep an eye on your cart to make sure the final prices at checkout are correct!
3Dsublime still not discounting either, this is 2nd day now. With new item and 30% loyalty I should be seeing 65% off
Is that complicated to use? I can't tell if it's because it's 2:00 AM and I'm tired or I'm just not geeky enough but I don't even understand the product description...
What's up with Faveral's items? They're 40% off, which would suggest they are part of the Featured Artist's Catalogs, but he's not listed. And the 40% does not become 50% with a new item, nor does it get a Loyalty Discount. So where is that 40% discount coming from?
I don't see Faveral listed on that page now. Several others are missing now as well. I'd been waiting to buy from some artists until the discounts were fixed but they're gone from the list now so there goes those purchases. Sigh.
There's actually already 2 other free scripts that do the same thing as discussed here, they work really well and are simple to use:
http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/137161/reduce-texture-sizes-easily-with-this-script/p1
I own it and it's very helpful. I also use the free reduced textures script. There are many options in Scene Optimizer and it sticks the reduced textures in their own folder so you don't have to worry about them. Both scripts are very handy. I don't find either hard to use.
Oh, and congrats on your new computer!
It's very easy to use. Love it!
I have the free scripts. I haven't used it since I upgraded to a new PC with an 8gb GPU. When I had a 2 GB card, it was a life-saver.
Same situation with Luthbel . . .
