esha's Store Anniversary Contest

eshaesha Posts: 3,224

Ten years ago I started as a vendor at Daz. Ten exciting, eventful, fun years!
And I would like to say a heartfelt Thank You to all of you who have been supporting me, by buying my products, by posting renders of my creations, by giving me ideas for new products. You're making it possible for me to earn my living by doing what I love. Thank you for this! heart

To celebrate this anniversary, I would like to run a contest. The theme is "Good Feelings".
Create a render that makes you feel good - something beautiful, something cute, something fun, whatever; it's up to you.

Contest Rules (every proper contest needs rules, so let's have some for the sake of it):

  • Render can be done in any software you like (Daz Studio, Poser, Vue, or any other program)
  • Postwork allowed
  • No need to use my products (although it would make me happy to see my stuff in your renders wink)
  • Renders need to comply with the forum rules, so keep them family friendly, please

Contest Prizes (of course there are prizes smiley)

  • 1st place: 3 products of your choice from my store (except Daz Originals or collaborations)
  • 2nd place: 2 products of your choice from my store (except Daz Originals or collaborations)
  • 3rd place: 1 product of your choice from my store (except Daz Originals or collaborations)

The contest will start now and will run until the end of December. At the beginning of January I will ask some of my PA colleagues to help me pick the winners.
Please post your images to this thread. I'm looking forward to seeing your renders, and I'm looking forward to another ten creative years with all of you!

Happy rendering,
esha

    Happy 10th anniversary, esha!
Clean clothes and sunshine make for good feelings.

I used 14 esha products in this render. Can you identify all of them?

I think I found them all. Did you dForce a top to hang it on the line? Awesome work!

Congratulations, Esha, on being such a successful vendor.

I like your items a lot and try to collect as many of them as possible.

Congrats on 10 years in the DAZ Store. I don't have any esha products in this render  blush so I decided to make up a render of DAZ characters going window shopping for more DAZ clothing. laugh

Yes, I did! It worked great and fit right in with the other clothes on the line. Thanks.

Anyone who has ever studied, or simply admired, any work of the great master sculptors/painters has likely noticed a pre-occupation with draped clothing. There's something about the way that the elegantly curved surfaces of the folds interact with light to reveal the hidden form beneath that's almost magical.

I've been using dForce on Pareo 2 for V4 (https://www.daz3d.com/pareo-2-for-v4) to explore this phenomenon in DS. The dress is beautiful to begin with, and trying to capture it in motion is a pursuit that brings me great joy. Here's a short clip of my happy dance:

Thanks for creating such a wonderful dress, Esha! Hopefully, video entries are ok. If not, I hope you enjoy the video anyway - cheers!

    - Greg

  • @algovincian That was very cool! I've always loved that dress.

Thanks, KM - it's fantastic, right? It's fun to completely change the look of a garment by changing the physical characteristics of the fabric! The animation is not perfect by any means (there was still some intersection occurring that was causing some "locking" in some areas towards the end of the sim), but I feel like I'm making progress with dForce.

    Esha,

Congratulations on your 10th birthday. If you're fishing for suggestions: more full skirted, historical gowns.

    Cheers,

    Alex.
