Well, I managed to spend some Cyber Monday money - on food.  Ordered a few variety gift packs of sausage and cheese for myself, as end-of-contract treats since I'm not going to the strip club to party this year.  Finishing up going over the code I'm documenting and cleaning up the few pages of documentation necessary.  Will submit it tomorrow morning.

No Cyber Monday DEAD FISH ON A TRAY deals, sigh.

I planned all this out too well.....

    Dead Cybermat on a tray?

It just doesn't have the same ring...

    ...only plaint today,

Green Bay lost, in spite of forcing three turnovers and their backup QB having the best game of his career with 3 TDs and no INTs, thanks to a non call  (helmet to helmet hit by Pittsburgh's defence on GB's QB) and bad call (out of bounds catch that was ruled a catch in favour of Pittsburgh which put them in field goal range to win) by the officials late in the game.

Playing one opponent is tough enough.

Wisconsin moved up to #3 in the nation after their win on Saturday and both 'Bama and Miami losing.  Tomorrow will say if the playoff committee feels they are now good enough to move into the final four for the National champonship.  Still one game to go though, the Big Ten Championship against Ohio State.  Time for a little payback after that embarrassing loss to the Buckeyes three years ago.

Sunny but somewhat brisk day today.  Going to get downright cold starting tomorrow with rain and a high only the mid 40s as well as 40s for highs and 30s for lows the rest of the week.

As today looks to be the nicest day of the week, heading out for a market run in a bit.  Not into delivery as I like picking out my own meats, fish, and produce as well as saving money.

@KK - brrrr! Bundle up, and have a toddy or two!

I've seen a lot of blown calls in the past few weeks, so much for 'protecting the quarterback'.  As to ruled a catch, was this the result of a challenge?

Non-complaint++: router arrived 2 days early, set up in 5 minutes, and I get quite good speed with a 5 bar signal - which makes sense as the repeater is all of 5 feet away.  Not business class speed, but a LOY better and super reliable.  Best $26 I've spent in a long time.

Also, friend came over and assembled my rolling ooking area work table.  Love it to death, nice tile top, drawers, and pot storage on the bottom - and onlu cost me $60!!!

Only one last thing to connect, the Alesis Vortex music keyboard to the USB charger for power.  The cable I had out was too short, argh, will find one tomorrow.

I think I'm set now, no more big purchases until my next contract, I'm good to go!!!

...naw the muffed call on the catch happened after the the 2 min warning so it would have needed to be an officials challenge.

Cool, still looking at routers for my place.

I am downloading DIM which is a cool program that lets me download a lot of 3D goodies for free (not really free but do not have to rebuy them free)

There's been a leak for a video game that I used to love, until the 4th instalment killed it for me.

People just don't understand why I won't support future releases of the franchise. I majorly dislike the character that was added in the 4th instalment and I hate his origin story. What's not to understand?

For me, I just hope that leak turn out to be rubbish.

..well back form the market run,  Very pleasant day before the cold and wet returns.

I really need to put together a collection called "Adventures of an Old Pedestrian in the City".

Sometimes trying to be a good Samaritan can actually backfire.  Case in point, on my way home from my market trip this evening, I was patiently waiting at a crosswalk for several vehicles to go through when suddenly this SUV on the same street I was walking along pulled through the stop sign into the intersection and then stopped nearly getting T-boned by a pickup that had the right of way (and no stop sign).  Figuring the driver was some clueless or impatient numbskull, I stepped back and turned away not wishing to see the forthcoming wreck as well as possibly having the SUV pushed into me.  Fortunately there was no contact, however, the driver of said SUV, then looked at me and waved for me to cross while he blocked the intersection. Nice gesture and I knew he meant well, but his action could have resulted in a very bad incident.

The really sad part was that pickup was the last vehicle I needed to wait for.

I finally found out the 3D print plugin is free before that changed.  I got that and hopefully can use it soon, I think.

Tuesday, ugh.  Feels like U'm catching a cold so I'm drinking lots of hot tea and taking aspirin while I sit here writing.  Went through an entire box of tissues yesterday, achhhhhoooooo honk, thankfully I'm all stocked up on Kleenex.  Lots of hot soup in my immediate future!

Other than that, just feeling tired.  Nothing much useful will get done today, I think. :*

Last night it was 24F at 1:30 am.  Then at 2:30 am, it was up to 26F!  That's backwards.  But we were expecting the winds to shift to the south, which would start to bring milder air.  It's 40F right now, at 1:09 pm.  A bit lower than normal, but not too bad.

...yep, as predicted water from the sky pelting against my window. 44° and a very large area of rain as far as the radar can see (which is out to the Pacific just off the coast).

Woke up to over 250 emails this morning thanks to it being "Giving Tuesday" when every concern under the sun, moon, and stars pumps people for donations.  Crikey, I'm no J.D. Rockefeller, I'd have to win the Megabucks Lotto just to send the minimum they all ask for.

2:22pm and 78f!  Too warm to open the window, which I shoukdn't do anyway being sick.  Kow tonight 54f. Groceries arrived, now have turnips, olive oil mayo, fava beans, green tea bags and double bergamot Earl Grey!  I'm trying to just use the Keurig to make hot water as apparently k-cup pods do not recycle. :(

After some sleep, feeling better, still watery itchy eyes amd runny nose. No tea worries now, thankfully.

    More napping needed...

...still 44° and bucketing rain.  Really don't want to go out anywhere. 78° would be a welcome heat wave right now.

Morning. City towers sagging a little in 80 degree heat a couple of hours after dawn,am  enjoying a slight sea breeze in a shady spot right now but an unblinking eggshell blue sky is promising a lot of heat later on :)

6:47pm and still 74f outside, should be able to open a window in about an hour.

Sipping Tension Tamer and considering dinner.  Might just have a raw red bell pepper, some cheese, and half a raw cucumber.  Been snacking on veggie chips, so many different tasty flavors!

Busy day tomorrow, call the optometrist, hit the pharmacy, search for USB cables, and decide on end-of-contract party.  Definitely will cook at home, but what?  Much to think about..

    Likely early to bed tonight.
