Broke down and ordered pizza, to go with my last few beers.  12in crispy crust with bacon, pepperoni, meatballs, mushrooms, and black olives.  Some garlic cheese bread 'for later' and six hot wings and I'll feast for about 3-4 days.  Wow, the wings are hotter than a $1000 a night hooker!  I ended up drinking the entire container of bleu cheese dressing just to cool down a bit.  The cheese garlic bread is amazing, it's 3 cheese - mozarella, parm, and cheddar.  Sooooo good!  The pizza is all going into the fridge for the next few days.

Only 2 more beers left, then it's over to wodka.

EEEuuuwwww, sweaty shirt! Dumping the ranch dressing on the bread, cooooooling.

Yams done and cooled, will be stored in the fridge once I scrape the goodie out into a container.

Then, back to skeleton archers, ugh.

Mmmmm near;y lunchtime here, Pizza might be nice tho too lazy to travel for one- I guess that’s what deliverers are for ;)

Sympathies. As someone with a lifetime of back troubles (2 ruptured lumbar disks, etc.) I can feel your pain. Feel better soonest!

I've had 5 back surgeries since 2004. The spinal fusion was the worse. I also have arthritis and degenerative disks. I have osteoarthritis in all my joints. The only things that were spared atm is my right knee and my left hip.

    Geebus dude! {{{{{{{{ frank }}}}}}}}

Moving the laptop 5ft from one desk to another dropped me from 3-4 bars to 1-2 bars and crap bandwidth.  Range extender/repeater ordered from Amazon, will arrive Wednesday.  Line-of-sight for the router to my location goes through 4 walls and a staircase!  No wonder WiFi sucks, but the repeater has 2 extra-sensitive antennas and serious output power, so it should do well if it doesn't melt the wiring in the walls.

I'm thinking of putting a range extender up so that the kitchen and garage are covered.  I may be buying a new fridge and/or dashcams soon, so might need to improve connectivity to other parts of the house.

This "Internet of Things" is exciting.  smiley

i'm confused between Bhudda and Confusius.  and Siddhartha.

they all seem to give up all worldly possessions?

The whole concept here is that attachment to the world causes woe and will trap you in the cycle of reincarnation.  That might have worked a few thousand years ago, nowadays try living off the land with no possessions and see how long you last.

It's a good concept, it just needs some work to fit into modern days.

Buddah and Siddhartha thought along similar lines, some consider them to be th same person.  Confucius was more of a philisopher than spiritual guru.

I'm not sure any of the three would last a week nowadays...

    thanks smiley

Morning. Stressed looking Mynah birds scratching around browning foliage and baked dry earth in a planter box painting a grim picture this overcast and relatively cool- 70 - Monday. Think there must be rain somewhere up in the looming overcast, just not making it to the ground :0 Poor Mynah birds live in urban rooftops, must be slim pickings for them so far this spring, or grim peckings or something ;)

I don't have enough spare cash to buy everything that I want during the black Friday sale.  I'll wait for another sale to spend $$$. lol

Maybe they will have a cyber Monday sale like they did last year. I know pretty much everyone online runs one. I'll be keeping an eye on Amazon

Even my site!  No big spalshy announcements, though.  It was a late thought and had no time to do something up.  Plus, having just reinstalled a lot of stuff, I'm not really fully up to speed.  Yeah, that's my excuse...erm...story, and I'm sticking to it.   frown

Managed to kill off all the bondage archer chicks, now being accosted by goat-men, lightning throwing skeletons, and women with lances in leather body harnesses wearing head-covering horned masks.  Never a dull moment, for sure!

Time for a beer, some kind of feed, and Cupcake Wars.. gives me a whole new appreciation as to how hard a simple cupcake can be to bake!!

Not sure what meds you're on, but I want some...

LOL!! It's called Diablo II, and whomever did the enemy design needs a LOT of therapy... :-o

D2 was so much better than D3  IMO.  Can't say D3 didn't have some good parts too though, but I just preferred D2 in almost every other way.

Titan Quest was a nice game in the same vein as Diablo 2 though, all the way down to the skills that sound cool on paper but in practice are totally useless :D

    Welcome to the club.

You should both be aware that Windows 7 (and 8.1 in the future) won't run on some newer processors.  So if you want to upgrade an older computer or build a new one and run an older version of Windows on it, beware of this.  This was known 2 years ago.  Article here:  Why Windows 7 Won't Work On Intel's Current and Next Gen CPUs

    The pull-quote gives some reasoning:

“Windows 7 was designed nearly 10 years ago before any x86/x64 SOCs existed. For Windows 7 to run on any modern silicon, device drivers and firmware need to emulate Windows 7’s expectations for interrupt processing, bus support, and power states, which is challenging for WiFi, graphics, security, and more. As partners make customizations to legacy device drivers, services, and firmware settings, customers are likely to see regressions with Windows 7 ongoing servicing.”

And it won't be restricted only to Intel CPUs, either.  AMD and Qualcomm have said they're going to do something similar.

Of course, if you never ever upgrade your PC and never ever buy a new one, then you won't be affected.  wink

After being given a Win10 laptop by my family to replace the one that died,  I have to say that using it for a while I've pretty much gotten used to it and don't feel it's all that bad.  Sure, it WAS pretty bad when it launched, but today it's almost as good as 7.  Almost.  I've worked around the less desirable parts and while there's still a few small things here and there - like needing to switch into Admin account when a game on Steam fails to update because of a Disk Write Error (Seriously, why do those folders default to Read-Only?)  and Cortana really doesn't get in the way for me as much as it does with others..... Oh, well also there's disabling Driver Signature Enforcement being a little easier on 7 than on 10... I need to do that whenever I want to record or stream my Nintendo 3DS gameplay, since the capture software uses a driver than isn't "signed" and so 7 and 10 both prevent it from running by default.

Overall most of my current experiences with 10 have been positive, and the negatives have been at the very least tolerable. More so than I can say for 10 on release... Or for Vista during its entire lifespan xD

Still holding on to my 7's for as long as I can though. ^^

/The first thing I do when I get a new IoT device is change the password.  Especially routers, range extenders, boosters, cams, those get hacked all the time.  Even printers noww!
