morning. Sun rising on last day of holidays & all quiet in the big city except for a bit of a deflating bagpipes kinda droning sound from the freeways, wondering if you could mix in a drum machine and release as an ambient album, would anyone know the difference ? First autumn leaf drop is underway,    I guess some cool air from the South Pole iz telling the trees something... :)

Non-complaint: My car's unibody framework has been repaired!  Yea!  And at considerably less than the first estimate.  Saved $700. surpriseyes

Complaint: A few weeks ago I had trouble with the car's windsheild wipers.  They had a mind of their own and would start and stop all by themselves.  The garage replaced the wiper motor and it's integrated control circuits to the tune of $200.  The problem seemed fixed for a while but now, the problem is back.  Worse!  The blades start on their own, stop on their own, I can't turn them off, I can't change them to intermittent, and sometimes if I can get them to stop they don't park themselves, but will stay out on the window. ARGHHHHHHH....sadcrying  Garage mechanic said today that his research said that this is a reported problem with that 2003 era Buick and that only "refurbished" wiper motors are available.  So, your guess about where the refurbished motors come from is probably like mine.  Yep, people who traded them in because they had problems.  frown  I think he's going to warrantee this motor and try another one, but I'm not sure he'll do the installation for free and it's apparently quite involved.   Ouch.

Cum hoc ergo propter hoc, as the latins would say.  (with this therefore because of this). Also Post hoc ergo propter hoc (after this therefore because of this). It's the fallacy of correlation and causation. ie. A happens and B happens therefore A causes B.

Most people die after a priest administers the last rites. Therefore priests kill people with magic words.

At least you got in.  I've been on the other side of a "502 Error" since early morning.

    I am so tired.

Bad news I found Edward dead this morning.  Not sure how old he was but he was not a young fish.  My favorite betta is gone.  At least I still have Matthew, Steven and Regina for bettas

..still feeling rather "meh" in spite of the mild dry weekend we had here. Whatever this bug is, it seems to want to just hang on.

Iirc the previous iteraration of this Forum didn't have a quote button on your own posts, just an edit one. Being able to quote yourself seems about as useful as being able to edit other members' posts. indecision

That happened to me just after I posted. I gave up until a little while ago (when I woke up from an unscheduled nap blush)

I have an order of Hot Cocoa waiting to be shipped. Now I am thinking of canceling it because it has corn syrup.  I think High fructose corn syrup is bad, but is just plain corn syrup bad?

I know I can buy hot cocoa from the grocery store but I had an amazon gift card not a food lion gift card or walmart or anywhere else locally that sells hot cocoa.

..while all sugar isn't good for you, corn sweeteners tend to be more "addictive" as well as cheaper for the manufacturer.
