I was trying to give an example of what DAZ should do with the banners.
I DID NOT GET AN ORANGE (Or any other color) BANNER. There is no secret discount or special besides what's on the store main page or the top of all sale pages.
I was trying to suggest what I WOULD be getting in such a way that it would not cause the very same confusion it has caused.
Now I feel terrible.
AGAIN, that was an EXAMPLE of how daz should/could do the banners so there's complete transparency as opposed to now---
which this thread proves, in recent posts that, you know so little about HOW ads work that anything is possible and you believe you could be included or excluded from a sale for almost arbitrary reasons.
What I do know is that March Madness-
1) didn't care how much you spent
2) didn't care how long you kept your banner up
3) didn't care when you started supporting their campaign.
BUT on the plus-
They had crazy deals-
Vendor participation
confusing ads that still led to great discounts
incredible freebies
every category on sale even aniblocks....
And I apologize to Aeon Soul- it seems that DID have everything on sale, it's just that several items are more expensive than most other vendor's offerings. The difference are the stellar design and color, mix and match and the morphs. I still want the Ceti Alpha suits but I aint paying $20+ lol
Thank goodness they had new items and solid pricing-- I FINALLY got the everyday wear I've been checking for months...
In all honesty I am ready for March Madness to end...
I should only have to worry and watch over NEW items as my library is built.

Daz has certainly cared how much I've spent in the past, both in specific sales and overall (well, within a year). (Or so they've said.) They've always explained to me why I had an orange banner. There's never been any confusion there. The main complaint has always been that BECAUSE they've explained, people have felt left out because they, somehow, did the 'wrong thing'.
My feeling is: orange banners come. they go. eventually, they probably come back again, just like huge sales on older products. It's like living with the sea. The tide comes in. The tide goes out. If you're just there to catch a specific ship, you don't want to miss the tide. But if you live there... mostly you keep an eye out for storms. Because, man, those shipwrecks....

I once got an orange banner, added it to the cart and it magically diappeared from the face of my Daz World before I could check out. I have over 16 Pro bundles so maybe I should try to refund 6 to get the orange banner ... just joking. Anyway are the newly mad items depleting or have I bought almost every bloody one of them?
I once got an orange banner that I didn't qualify for (according to the fine print). I took advantage of it anyway and felt like a queen! lol Yay! I didn't feel at all bad about it considering how many orange banner deals I've not been able to get and had to sit on the side lines feeling bad about missing out. What Daz doesn't realize is that when you include people who DON'T tend to spend a TON of money here in the orange banner deals - it gives them incentive to spend MORE. I spent more when I got the orange banner than I had in a LONG time. So only including the big spenders in orange banner deals is pretty silly, imo and makes them miss out on a lot of money.
@divamakeup by the time I get another orange banner I'll be too broke to use it.
lol But on the plus side you should have a lot of great items to render with. :)
I understand though, I've been spending a LOT lately. I've not even categorized many of the purchase I've made lately. I need to stop buying until I've rendered at least 2/3 of the things I've gotten. lol

What's funny is, I'm reading all these posts about a banner and so I check to see if I got one too.
And I'm about to post about how unfair it is and how that's a prime example of not being included even though I feel I should be...
And as I look to reply to posters with the 'at' symbol, @ I see lots of people quoting me. And I'm like 'why are they quoting me?'
And then it sunk in and I was like NOOOooooooo!!!!!
See....that never happens around here..LOL. There's are things on my wishlist that have been there for 10 years and have faithfully followed me through several website redesigns. Daz does not forget! And the sales, I suspect, are specifically designed to make you crawl through the enitre catalog multiple times during a sale month digging for the qualifying products or making sure you don't miss a deal, which means even though you may purchase a bunch, you get exposed to so much OTHER content that your wishlist count never really goes down...it just expands.

The extra 20% off sale on featured Daz Originals doesn't seem to be working correctly... I put a $1.99 DO featured item with an sku number below 16,000 in my cart with more than two new items and it came out to $1.39 which is just 30% off without the extra 20% off. I calculated it as $1.11 (which is 44% off total-- not that great a deal anyway.) Another newer much higher priced item came out to 49.5 % off. I'm not sure how this is working... Either way, the savings are not stellar for Daz Originals...

Okay, after grumbling yesterday, I have to admit that I did more shopping than I had in a while. I bought Jeanne because I wanted it and wanted the Bonus Buyer banner, Through a kind response from @SimonJM in another thread, I found a couple Genesis 3 clothes at Rendo that were badly needed, and although not on sale, I had an 18% off coupon so I bought those. Then I came back here, got a $50 giftcard for $45, and bought @SickleYield's latest water thingie, a couple of PC+ items, the PC+ and Bonus Buyer freebie, Dynamic Doorman for the 95% off items, and another important SickleYield utility. Base price would have been $112.65, paid $18.47 with store credit that cost me ~$16.63 in real money to acquire.
Yeah... there have been really good deals this sale, but you've had to dig. I miss @Divamakeup posting screenshots of her best stacking. That always gave me a good place to start. I'd load up my cart like hers, verify the discount was the same, and then add and remove until I had my own cart full of stuff at discounts that matched what she had achieved.
The EXTRA 20% doesn't appear to be working on all the featured Daz Originals. I put the Misty Hair in my cart at $4.99, but the discount only takes it to $4.49 instead of $3.99. The same happens with most of the newer items in the list. For some items the add on discount (even newer items) seems to be more....perhaps they also are featured in some other way.
I'm beginning to wonder just how many hours I've spent playing around with Daz shopping carts. Surely, there must be something more productive I could do with my time...my taxes for one....
LOL... I've yet to do my tax returns... more productive, true, but not nearly so much fun as playing DAZ Cart Jenga... and this year, a whole lot more frustrating!
Many of the featured artist catalogs are messed up. Not showing discounts on some items (not just the new ones), some incomplete listings (i.e. Nigtshift3D, which I was looking at yesterday)
Misty hair is a PC item, so you may not get the extra 20% on that. In fact the link to the category does include PC+ items, so it should not show as an option.
