From a veteran Daz buyer...clear your top guys first. That way if you miss a deal you still have your top wants taken care of to console you. If you pay too much and a better deal comes up later (doesn't happen often...) you CAN rebuy and take the better deal and they will return the other one and credit you back.

Unless I'm mistaken, that is not an open ended offer. It's 30 days. It's really not a price guarantee, if you read the description- it's a satisfaction guarantee, and they wrap the "unhappy with the price" under that. (And don't mention it? I'm trying to remember.)  If you've done it later than 30 days, I don't think they have to do it. So personally, I wouldn't say "if a better deal comes up later." I'd say within 30 days.

Aww....thank you Philip! It's what I call "Daz Reasoining" like some people refer to Daz Math. It's a fuzzy logic skill one develops over time :)

Love the site BTW...you sir, have some great talent there!

  • ZaiZai Posts: 289

Right Novica...agreed. But I've never had them say no to a return within that timeframe and I've seen on the forums a lot of others do it. Since its usually store credit they know you're gonna spend it again anyway :)

@avxp If you buy something that sucks, you have 30 days to say take this crap back. If you buy an awesome product at full price and it goes on sale within 30 days you can get reimbursed for the difference. Go to your email and look at the orders you made for the last thirty days and copy and paste them to notepad or exel etc. In Daz pull them up by sku (copy paste) and add them to your wishlist (I do something different that's better  which I may share with select newbies because so few of us know the tricks of this trade). Now add the trigger items to the current day sales, Buy this and get this, to your cart, then add the previous items you have already purchased, some items will be higher but others will be lower. Delete the suckers that are the same price, or higher than the price you originally paid. Screen print the cart (with only lower priced items) and request a refund for the difference (up to 30 days). If you buy an item at xx.xx and within 30 days it reduces to ##.## you get it for the ##.## price. So focus on sales that have items you need, knowing you can buy them at the sale price, later should sales go lower and there is a gift card promo, buy only the gift card first, check out and come back and use the gift card for your purchases. Then go back and ask for a refund of blah blah blah. Some PA sales never happen without a note from God so when my A-List artist is on sale, I go for it, knowing I got it on sale and if it goes lower within 30 days, I get the lower price.

Good thinking. I thought Dreamer was being sarcastic when she said the entire store is on sale....

HOT DAMN, she wasn't....so what I did wuz.......

OPEN A TAB FOR EVERY-SINGLE VENDOR. And look through their products...

My goodness, I don't know why some pf these NEVER showed up in search engine results.

I must have done 20 - different searches under landscape/places/ground/backdrop/ HERE! since I've been here.

Found a new vendor that does great landscapes...

    This guy: https://www.daz3d.com/soulessempathy

    Even his indoors are cool....

    Never came across him before.

I've searched guns...sci-fi guns....sci fi weapons...and every combination of related words possible - all of a sudden, I'm combing and find a great package of weapons....

I searched lo-res and only found loretta, plus it was linked by numerous members...and I grabbed stuff on his page before....never saw all the other "low-reZ" offerings.

Some things were in my cart since day one, but got removed when they just NEVER went on sale- not even a little bit. Now they are and great-goodness.

Now, I wonder what Daz can possible do at midnight to switch to new sales.

What else can they possibly have up their sleeve?

I'm now just waitning on that modular castle.

I did a check and the ONLY robot I don't own is this one: https://www.daz3d.com/lg09-combat-mech

I SHOULD have grabbed it when it dropped. I have no idea why I didn't. I must have been truly broke that week. lol

I want to pit that one against StoneMason's and see which is going to come out on top.

And wouldn't ya know- it's like THE ONE thing NOT on sale. lol

so the sale page itself is still showing yesterday's sale....even tho the new items are in the store adn the newsletter is out. I have NO idea what "get up to 95% off featured daz originals" means in the newsletter, cos the sale page doesn't say anything. Anyone getting anything different?

I think the email got sent out too early, because you wouldn't really expect the store to be updated at that time.

New releases hit the store at 4pm Australia time - used to be 5pm but i think it must be daylight savings maybe there?

You must have one of today's items for each DO for the reduction to trigger.

Not to mention the the most recent featured item has a SKU of 14525, so if you're a Bonus Buyer, there is an additional 30% off... I put Stephanie 4 Elite Base in my cart, along with a MM New Release, and the final cost is 73¢. I think I'd rather get the Epic Wings for Genesis instead, though, for 49¢...

I thought they hit at 6 in summer, then they changed to 5 recently thanks to their daylight savings. Did we get daylight savings already? Did they have a second one? I'm so confused xD

Oh... Sneaky DAZ, (or maybe a bug...?) One Newly Mad item triggers the 95% discount, but two Newly Mad items negates it!

(You can still get the 55% off Newly Mad by adding some other qualifying item to the cart.)

I think it's daylight savings here in Australia at the moment? I'm in Queensland, but we don't have daylight savings cos "it makes the curtains fade" apparently. Ha. But I think all the other states are on Daylight Savings right now.

well damn, yes it does. You can ONLY get one of the DO featured items per order, it seems. (I'm guessing that it's "per order" and not "per person")

As of a couple of minutes ago, it was per order... That may change, if it's unintentional. However, if you can't get one at 95% off with more than one Newly Mad item in your cart, it makes sense for per order... instead of buying two NM and featured DO, customers are more likely to place two orders of one NM, one featured DO and one item from the Featured PAs, Without the incentive of the second 95% DO, they might just wishlist one of the two NM items...

Whereas earlier I could get four NMs and four 95 reduced items in one order. Hm. Oh well, the new items will still be the same price tomorrow, and I don't want to play shopping cart jenga that badly. There's always another sale for the older stuff.

Well, the way the ad copy is worded, one should only get a single 95% off item per order... but multiple NM items shouldn't prevent the one DO from being discounted... that's a coding issue... And perhaps a limitation of the site software...

And you can only have ONE new item in the cart along with it. Which is strange, since having two would give additional discounts, but then you lose the 95% off the DO item.

Weird when I put the PA coupon in, it only took off about $4.50 instead of the full $6.00. I had one DO for less than a dollar and that went down to zero, but the full amount didn't come off the PA items... Guess I'll remove it and use it later.

Do you have the free item in the cart? That always messes up the discount.

Well, my resolution for Lent was to only buy stuff on Sundays. (I've bent that by buying one or two things early on that I couldn't live without, and by testing shopping cart loadouts on non-Sundays).

And they keep putting the crappiest sales and least interesting products on the Sundays. Guess what, guys, you didn't get much of my money the last two Sundays, and the only reason you might get any today is because of Sickleyield, Alessandro, Aeon Soul and the recent Platinum Club release.

In cart: https://www.daz3d.com/iray-geolocator and https://www.daz3d.com/aiko-5-premier-add-on-bundle -> this latter one is $1.22

I add https://www.daz3d.com/sy-super-splash-pack-iray and the featured DO becomes $24.48
