I hope they fix this cause I have a complicated ticket out about this...
And a bunch of items to return if they can't sort this out. lol
I did say some of the sales talk is very confusing.
And to be honest, I can't think of a way to make it simpler besides make the deals simpler.
Maybe not so much stacking and just a clear total percent- depending on what kind of consumer you are..
Targeted/Qualifying customers only-- they get to see those banners and it clearly states WHY you got that banner. No mystery- no need to be on the forum speculating.
My banner clearly states as...
- Daz membership/PC+
- Bonus Buyer
- Legend Supporter (you own 10 or more starter/pro bundles)
I am entitled to this discount banner/special sale....
So when someone chimes in and goes "But I aint got that banner..." everyone knows why. lol
No! No, I don't understand why. I don't have it and :
1) I am a PC+ member
2) I am and have been a bonus buyer throughout MM
3. I have 20 Genesis 3 Pro Bundles (well over 10). And that doesn't even count the Pro and starter Bundles from other generations!
And yet I don't have any special targeted offers - Just the standard Bonus Buyer one
damn, not another special orange banner I'm missing?
When orange banners aren't offered to everyone who QUALIFIES, based on what the banner is saying- then those not receiving it say phooey on you and in my case, I don't feel like shopping much and it shows by the low number in my cart. It hurts the vendors and it's Daz's fault. And it doesn't make those who aren't getting the discounts feel good.
And before anyone says "It must be working, they keep doing it" they have NO way to measure sales that were NOT made. And keeping conversations about banners off the forums does nothing due to behind the scenes chatter.
I've yet to see any proof of an orange banner not being issued to someone who qualified. Obviously they very carefully keep the conditions almost impossible to prove but nontheless.
I still hate orange banners and their sneaky sentiments though. I decided to vote with my wallet for this sneak-based March sale and not buy anything, including when they gave me a secret personal offer for not being anything.
Very odd - it's still working for me, with three Newly Mads. It also works with one and with four. However, with two Newly Mads it fails.
But that is madness...... oh, wait...
It's been restored to (relative) sanity now.

Actually, looking back at Charlie's post- Charlie, you mentioned Genesis 3 bundles, and that banner is supposedly for LEGEND. Doesn't legend mean the older generations- I know that's Generation 4. Not sure about Genesis.
Welp, looks like I slept through the catch-up sale. I expect there'll be another one, because "There's Always Another (Catch-Up) Sale".
They're saying MM final week now, so there should be another one next weekend (probably.)
It's a catch 22. You can't reward people for buying a lot of stuff and NOT bother the people who buy less and don't get the reward.

Another issue that's worth making another thread about is Daz switching their perception of time.
Well, listen....hear me out....
They could start the "weekend" on Friday at 12 noon. And end it at 9 am Monday morning.
Why? So that sales are launched while the office is still open and a full staff is available and every entity that could fix a potential problem is on standby..
I'm guessing the weekend is when some weekend warriors do the most rendering or work period.
Also Friday is pay day for most. Might be good to catch that impulse first new-check-purchase early. lol
You're in trouble if you're having problems on a Friday night and you're not getting any hep till Monday afternoon.
-Especially if it affects your next couple of purchases and what you would do if some feature or discount worked right.
And beginning one day earlier allows for 3 bursts of sales instead of two for THE BIG WEEKEND AWEORCSOME BONZAIIII BONANZAAAA
I don't know EXACTLY the demographic, but since the site is ONLY IN ENGLISH and there is no native currency translation engine AND the company is US based-
why turn over the sales engine in the middle of the night? Do it in the day- make it 12:00 noon magic hour so people around lunch can make it a habit to pop on.
For me, it changes over - around 2:30 in the morning. If I can, I try and stay up and see it change.
First the image changes...and then the links update...
What we've seen is that's not always safe to buy right at the flip because usually something isn't fully implemented.
That might be the only reason for changing at night - so that less people are active and it might cause wayyyy more tech tickets if EVERYONE is around at the switch.
And there's a problem.
Now what is it with that Legend thing/orange banner? Really curious. Apparently, with V4/M4 and even G1/V5/M5 there had not been 10 Pro Bundles at all per generation. And with V4/M4 I've got them all more or less. That Pro Bundle "inflation" really started with G2 (20+ Pro Bundles) and G3 (already 30+ Pro Bundles), and I do not even count those Minotaur/Reptilian/Anneka whatever special Bundles.
I've noticed too late that everything was on sale. Had some stuff which hardly goes on sale buried with my wish list. Might need to clear things out a little. Well, another catch-up is coming sooner or later ;-)
I only have 7 of the Generation 4 pro bundle, 8 of the Genesis pro bundles and 16 of the Genesis 2 pro bundle; but still no orange banner. And of course I didn't get the earlier MM orange banner for not buying either.
Either I don't buy enogh or I buy too much

I don't have a banner either. Debating whether I actually want to buy something new that I don't need, in order to get 95% off something I might need. It certainly won't be a developer license for a whole bunch of G3Fs that look like clones, that's for sure.

I was setting up a future scenario.
Sorry if I sounded like Daz had changed their normal level of secrecy surrounding what triggers sales/discounts/bonuses and such.
I'll be more careful in the future.

What's this about a Legend banner? That's the first I've heard it this March Madness...
I am also seeing this.
I have $20 in older PC+ items in my cart (after March Madness discount of 30% for all this wonderful but older stuff).
I DO have a new item in the cart (SY's latest water splash thingy), along with a 95% off item from today's discounts.
The total is $29.77... SY's item is ~$8, and the 95% off item is $1.
After applying a $6 Save6 coupon for ye olde PC+ items, my new grand total is $25.58... so approximately $4.20 off after using a $6 coupon.
($4.20 is $6 minus 30%, which is the discount on the old PC+ stuff that I have in my cart, which may not be a coincidence.)
It's a superb deal either way. I just want to confirm this is "working as expected" Daz maths, not an actual error.
We aren't sure what is going on - Daz checked and there isn't currently an Orange Banner offer (other than a very old one, I think, from Connect or the like).
Do not try and find the orange banner. Instead, try to realize the truth. There is no orange banner.
But monthly coupons hardly EVER work right during large sale events. Find something qualifying that is not included in the sale - and it will work, or decide to settle for whatever portion of the total discount the coupon reduces your cart and call it good... or submit a ticket to DAZ support.
I generally find something that comes within a buck or so of the total discount I am entitled to and just use it and call it good.
