Handled properly, being a germ factory could be lucrative.  Just find a way to market them. enlightened

Don't underestimate those nervous little dogs.  Very sharp teeth, I'm sure.  64 times...I'm sure it would hit a vein a few times, enough...

Well, it's bad but not that bad.  After all, 64 bits is only 8 bites. devil  But I would run faster!

should really make a trip for soup greens tnight.  theres too much sodium in the soup, even the 'healthy' low sodium soups.  the butternut squash soup yesterday, per serving is 720mg sodium, 4 servings in the carton, i ate most of the carton yesterday.

soup greens, spinach tortellini.  brocolli didn't have any iron in it, but says 50% vitamin c.  wish they'd give the mg, percentages can't imagine are the same for everyone,  would think would go by body weight/mass.

how come some things are weighed in lbs but others in stones?
is the original stone in a vault somewhere?
did they put it on the teeter totter weigher thingee?

is humpty dumpty really an egg?

a stone is 14 pounds, as standardised in 1835 as the wool weight.   There are stone weights in some Museums,  don't know if any of them are the actual original though, as before it was standardised there was a system of different stone weights for differing amounts.    Stones were used for weighing things right back into Roman times.

Oh, and as for Humpty dumpty,   there are all sorts of suggestions as to what he was originally.    Probably some sort of device used during war time which fell off a wall and broke to pieces.

Humpty Dumpty as an egg comes from Lewis Carroll's Alice Through the Looking Glass. But the tale/story/rhyme is muchy older and of unknown origin. Being a cannon that fell off a city wall during the English Civil War is one popular explanation. http://myths.e2bn.org/mythsandlegends/origins1-humpty-dumpty-and-the-fall-of-colchester.html

Humpty Dumpty probably began life as a riddle, the answer to which was "an egg".

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humpty_Dumpty

Similar in style perhaps to this riddle that my Grandmother taught my Father:

    "Round as a biscuit,
    Busy as a bee,
    The prettiest little thing
    You ever did see."

    (a pocket watch)

Many of the nursery rhymes we learned as children started out as riddles.

One bright day in the middle of the night

Two dead boys got up to fight.

Back to back they faced each other,

Drew their knives and shot each other.

A deaf policeman heard the noise,

And came and killed those two dead boys.

Why does it seem that 32 bit computers are slower than 64 bit computers?

If you were persued by an angry dog would you run faster if bit 32 times or 64 times?

I think I'd be dead if I were bitten 64 times!   surprise

    Dana

    Chihuahua? indecision

Don't underestimate those nervous little dogs.  Very sharp teeth, I'm sure.  64 times...I'm sure it would hit a vein a few times, enough...

    Dana

Well, it's bad but not that bad.  After all, 64 bits is only 8 bites. devil  But I would run faster!

And that would be 16 nibbles!  I still say the person who invented all these terms was either hungry all the time, or snacking all the time.  Given more modern day programmers, I'd say the latter.   laugh

Actually, I prefer Cheese Nips.  Except the Cheese-its White Cheddar are pretty good.

    the mighty cheezil:

    Cheese puff rings! surprise

Humpty Dumpty probably began life as a riddle, the answer to which was "an egg".

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humpty_Dumpty

Similar in style perhaps to this riddle that my Grandmother taught my Father:

    "Round as a biscuit,
    Busy as a bee,
    The prettiest little thing
    You ever did see."

    (a pocket watch)

Many of the nursery rhymes we learned as children started out as riddles.

Last night I saw upon the stair,
A little man who wasn't there,
    He wasn't there again today
Oh, how I wish he'd go away...

    (by W Mearns)

One bright day in the middle of the night

Two dead boys got up to fight.

Back to back they faced each other,

Drew their knives and shot each other.

A deaf policeman heard the noise,

And came and killed those two dead boys.

If you don't believe my story's true

Ask the blind man, he saw it too.

(local version added this last couplet)
