I found some syrup covered shoes in the trash can while I was cleaning a bit out of my car. I tried them on and they fit me well. They look like cool shoes. It is sad that someone would throw out shoes just because they are covered in syrup. Finders keepers.

Does anyone know how to clean syrup off of shoes? Also how to remove the smell and feel of syrup from my foot.

Someone has apparently been experimenting with new methods of eating pancakes. There are never any advances in science without failure.
As for cleaning of the shoes and feet, tests have shown that soap and hot water are effective in most cases.

LOL about trying a new method of eating pancakes.
I will try to wash them with hot water and soap. I will keep the shoes in my car until I can get them cleaned.

When I was watching the drawing of Dejah Thoris on Youtube, it made me wonder where the origin of the NVIATWAS (Naked Vicky In A Temple With A Sword) came from.

    According to the Urban Dictionary:
    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=NVIATWAS
Cho and myself are proud long-term members of that community.
I tried to search for the oldest occurrence of its use in the Bryce Forum there, but they've apparently flushed everything before 2003. I know it's older than that because I joined in 2001 and was already in common use then, as was SOW (sphere over water).

That is a very bias definition in that link. But hey, it's the urban dictionary. lol

It's not biased at all Spyro, was exactly how the Bryce community at Rendo felt about the Poser Community at the time. The Gallery was full of the images, as described. In fact one person from the poser community by the name or Dr Legume staged a revolution against the gallery being dominated by NVIATWAS type renders, and thus kick started "The Magic Pink Pony" campaign, which became so popular that at one stage Magic Pink ponies and similar erudite images took over the Hot 20 (hot 20 then was generated by member votes), and Legume even managed to be voted Artist of the month

    http://www.renderosity.com/marchs-artist-of-the-month---legume-cms-1278

SOW ....oh yes Tjohn i remember them as well, and the legions of so called members who would flock in to vote their friends into the Bryce Hot 20 with SOW images but never ever posted anywhere on the forums.

Was it all used as digital porn or something? I assumed it was paying out on poser renders/Poser figures.... Which we all here use figures from daz in Daz and Poser.

Although having re-read the article, it sounds like all the work was done for people in stock form, meaning, the people who used it did little or nothing... Thus it's NOT art as they did little or nothing. - I dont know why anyone would even bother with it as a matter of fact. It defeats the purpose of poser completely.

Fare enough Cho - I think I'm understanding what that NVIATWAS was all about.... Yeah, it's not bias lol

I have to admit I even did one NVIATWAS render. I used Lola,( http://www.daz3d.com/shop/3d-celebrity-lola ) she was the only older character around at the time, and tweaked her skin in Bryce to make it less healthy looking, she had a rusty old sword, and was in a ruined temple, so it was an ruin in an old ruin, so to speak.

But yes there was an awful lot of very inadequate "Art" floating around in the earlier days of poser, and yet everyone of the images would get mega views and rave comments, despite the lack of any real work being put into most of the renders.

Yes there were some good Poser images being produced, but they were invariably hidden behind all the popular ones in the most viewed category.

Oh, now this was just too darn stupid.

Listening to our local radio station. They were inviting listeners to phone in, and make a christmas message to who ever they wanted to, recorded live on air, to be then broadcast on CHristmas day.

One guy was giving his message, and mucked up his wife's name. Started to give his ex-wife's name instead of the current one.

OK the presenter gave him a chance to re-record his message, I hope for the poor guy's sake that his current wife wasn't listening to the live broadcast today.

Yes, Spyro, there is a Santa Claus...er I mean NVIATWAS. I think things have improved a great deal since then, (the lighting, posing, materials, etc. in later versions of Poser, for example) many talented artists have arisen in the community.
Yet even today, if you want to maximize the number of hits and comments your render receives in the Rendo galleries, make sure to include some female nudity. But it is VERY possible to do so with taste and artistic sensibilty.
For example (WARNING: NUDITY) The artist's work at the link below, who has long been a personal fave of mine - beton.

http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/browse.php?username=betonIt hasn't escaped my notice that the most popular artists seem to have at least one naked woman in their gallery. I have a small issue with nudity. I'm not a prude by any standards (quite the opposite for the most part), but I don't feel it's necessary to have it all out on display for the sake of titillation. I have a grand total of 1 'nude' render on my DA account, and thanks to the lovely Catwalk hair and cunning prop placement, nothing is on display. I wouldn't feel comfortable posting it on the forums though as it might be considered too borderline.

I might cave one day and add visible nudity to my gallery, but I worry that if I ever do it might be all I'm ever known for.
