...the G2F little girl version of my Leela character riding the Big Wheel which I posted earleir uses the Saucee 2 Overalls for G2F and they fit very well.
Here's a 10 year old G3F wearing them.
Thank you. At the beginning of this thread I had the impression that child characters almost didn't exist. As the thread progressed I saw it was possible to do a very nice job with children after all. As you have done. Lately when I show people my characters they say, are you going to make children? I hadn't originally intended it, but children can lend an air of believability to a story sometimes.
I'm reading what I can find about weight mapping now. I think it is going to come in handy with clothing. I have great hopes for the coming year!
...thank you. For the story I am working on having good child and teen characters that look proper for their age is esential.
As I mentioned I have been working at creating younger characters since the Gen4 days. A lot of that research I did back then still applies today as I often make additional adjustments to proportions even when using Genesis and tools like the Growing Up morphs. Getting the proper facial structure and head proportion is critical and involves a lot of extra shaping and morphing When I get what I like, I save a base character preset for future use.
I also have a number of body and head morph developer kits for G2, but only couple for G3 as finances have been tight as of late.
Upon the whole, I think that Zev0's Growing up morphs produce a more plausible child than the K4 base. But then Genesis is a LOT more morph-friendly than any gen4 figure ever was. Plus you can fine tool most of the deatils yourself.
Children are doable. It's babies that are a challenge.
Inspired to work on this from Genesis Baby
I find Zev0's growing up morphs really good. For small children I thicken up the body and limbs. This figure is made from G3F with mainly growing up morphs, and the head made with Facegen Pro. The clothes are from the 'Little Ones' set. I need to work on the shirt as the lines have got mangled.
Cheers
Ian
That a good set of morphs you've applied.
...that's really good.
The only botherome part is the distortion in the texture of the shirt which cannot be helped. I really wish there was some way to deal with those types of issues. Maybe we need Wear Them All fixes for Growing Up.
I meant to finish & release the Growing Up addon support for Fit Control. Will get to that when I have the time. I have such a long list of things to finish:(
Thank you, that will be a big help. I am off to put Fit Control on my wishlist...
That'd be awesome - I just picked up the G3F Wear Them All and Fit Control items - they work great :) I got Growing Up Bundle too - Fit Control helps already but if it could be improved, I'm all for it (when you find the magic time-stretcher of course ;) )
(Planning to pick up the G3M versions of WTA and FC soon, Aging morphs, most of the rest of your store is on the wishlist too ;) )
Your sets really expand the usefulness of the figures :)
..no worry, really waiting on Skin Builder Pro 3 right now.
Thanks for the comments guys. I've sorted out the shirt a bit and made him a bit older, maybe three or four, and trimmed his hair. Not sure if he's a bit overweight though. By the way the reason I am using G3F as the base figure is that Facegen creates its face texture on the figures base texture, and modifies the other skin textures to match ( or nearly match ) , and starting with G3M texture seems to make an older looking skin.
Picture below is of the two boys for comparison.
Zev0 good news on the Fit Control add on. I'm sure I will buy it on day one. I've always found your products very good quality and use them all the time.

That's why I like facegen.

Thanks. And it's a free update:)
If you had Slosh's Genesis 3 UV swapper you could put the created skin onto G3M. Using the male mesh should reduce the distortion of the clothing in the chest area.
Do what you can! You're contributions are, without a doubt, some of my favorites since joining this community 3 years ago!
