ISO thinning hair and non-salon hair for guys

I've got a lot of nice hairs for my DS peeps, but I don't have enough variety when it comes to older-people and fantasy/medieval styles.
I've got Mitch-hair, which is great, but I'm in need of a 'thinning' hair - there's this one for carrarra, but I need one in DS/Poser format. I could get away with doing a custom transmap on another hair, but if there's a product already out there...
Also - I've got some longer hair that I can use for fantasy renders, but short 'boy hair' is in short supply (pun unintended). I've got a lot of 'salon-styled' hair for the boys but not enough that could be 'everyday' or "I'm from a time before salons"
Any suggestions appreciated :)

There's more in rendo but I can't link there.
Check out Jack the Ripper Hat, Hair, and Mustache at Rendo: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/jack-the-ripper-hat-hair-mustache-g2m/111790/ The style defaults to a high, almost receding hairline, but you can make it even sparser. It also shows the scalp between hair strands in a realistic way for someone with thinning hair, but not yet a complete bald patch.

I haven't done a render of it yet, but you can morph most of AprilYSH's hairs (Hairline Height, Forehead Adjust, Head Size, Crown Adjust, etc.) to achieve what looks to be convincing hairline recession and mild to significant thinning. Don't forget to apply smoothing modifier to the hair, and you could even go into Surfaces>Geometry>Cutoff and change the opacity of the scalp.
And don't forget this classic...

It fits just about anything...parent, don't fit to, and scale. Adding a smoothing modifier helps, too.
Great suggestions, thanks :)
I've got the mitch hair (I think it was a Christmas freebie a while back) - but I need more 'thinning' than receding for my current idea.
Riccardo hair looks perfect for what I had in mind, I might pick up the Miles hair eventually too. (Daz really needs to do something about the store search - forum search is worse, but store search needs more meta-tags or something. I can search for 'Tornado' and miss AntFarm's 'Twister', and I can search for 'Thinning Hair' and get a whole bunch of hair that is anything but thinning).
I also like the look of the Jack the Ripper hair.
Great suggestions on the adjustments, Xyer0 - I'll give it a try :)
Now I just need some more short boy-hair that isn't salon-styled (What would an adventurer in a fantasy story have as their mop?)
Well...there's

Not too short, but certainly intended for a "time before salons"

However I agree there are not that many non-salon hairs out there. I have been doing a lot of historical renders for my next app, and have been hunting around for pre-salon hairs, so I would be interested to see more for males and females.
Some more good suggestions, thanks.
Some of those I'd still consider 'salon' but a few I could use.
Now I just need a way to make more money
