I've seen that picture before.  That is one of those dogs that has the really loose skin!  If the face wasn't showing, you'd think it was just more towels!  Or a blanket!  laugh

That's what I thought.  I could've sworn that dog was a huge towel, until I saw his nose. smiley

    Shar pei puppy. smiley

Aw...so cute. :-)   When I see a picture like that, I think "kidnap."  I wouldn't, but he is sweet.

That's got to be aggravating as all get out.  Don't know how you stand that.

centipedes?  riggine one of those would prolly be tedious

    >.< doh

wasn't there a way in Excel, to make the formula in row2 populate down the column,
rather than drag those suckers down the column 4,000+ records

    >.< doh  timestamp field coming out of Oracle as a text string into Excel.  need to massage these into 'date' fields access will import as dates.
dunno if they want the create date, or create timestamp zulu, doing both cuz which ever i pick will be the wrong one.

I think my video card is overheating a bit because my room is hot.  The computer is drawing 84 degree fahrenheit air into the computer.  The GPU reports its maximun temperature at about 150 degrees.  The unit is not blowing cold air.  Maybe someone should service the air conditioner??  Maybe the ducts are filled with dust.  Eww.

edit: I forgot to mention that I was playing a game.  I wonder how hot the CPU would be if I rendered a scene in Lux Render or Iray?  Hmm.

Eeesh... Vertigo. Thats pretty horrible... A friend of mine recently developed vertigo after a bad infection destroyed some of the nerves in his inner ear... It's pretty unfortunate, he is an avid motorcyclist... He collects and restores old BMW bikes and frequently has to travel to Germany for various BMW sponsored events... In the space of one month he went from going on a tour ride to not being able to sit upright. Somehow he is starting to cope with it and last week he managed to ride about a mile or so on some empty roads...

Small steps, but he loves riding too much to let that stop him.

I can't imagine what it's like to have that permanently... The closest I had was when I got nailed by a Cadillac and went halfway through the windshield... Messed my back up somewhat and I had to take some serious pain meds... All they really did was get me perpetually dizzy and nauseous... Eventually I just chose the pain over being dizzy all the time. Not exactly the same, but if it's even remotely related in the way it feels, I you have my deepest sympathies...

Actually, no matter what, you have my sympathy, because vertigo just plain sucks.

Get well, feel, better and I hope it's a temporary type of vertigo.

That would be a personal choice, but I'd say yes. :-)

Another topic -- does anyone know how to unstop a very well-clogged kitchen drain?  I have poured 3 bottles of Drano down that thing.  I am seriously mad at that sink.

...ugh bent down to pick up something off the floor and tweaked the pinched nerve in my back late yesterday.  Hard to get comfortable even sleeping or sitting. just have to suffer until what popped out of place goes back in again.  Going to be a very long slow walk to the market today, may put it off until tomorrow and just go down to the coffee shop to sit in the sun for a while as I have enough for dinner tonight (curry sausage in the freezer and tandoori rice), just no brekkie for tomorrow.

Yikes Saffron is very very expensive (wanted to make saffron jasmine rice),11$ for a tiny little packet in a jar. .

    I'm just mad about Saffron
    Saffron's mad about me
    I'm so mad about Saffron
'Cause It's too pricey for me

Too pricey?  You run around teasing the pollen from crocus blossoms a couple milligrams at a time and see how much you would like to get paid. surprise

That being said:  It's almost worth the price.  Just a teeny-tiny pinch sprinkled sparingly on a cream soup makes it heavenly.

Thanks. :-)  I better not try the wire snake.  I have done something wrong somewhere already.

Plumber called.  Sigh.  I hate to be outdone by a sink.

I treat mine with enzymes.    Enzymes eat the grot.   Once you get it clear,  a weekly dose will keep it clear.

I pour vinegar and baking soda down that sink.  I swear, I can't figure that thing out.

But I will check into enzymes. :-)  Thank you.

Yes. :-)  I've poured so much stuff down that sink, it is trying to drain -- slowly, but it drains.

I expect the trap is clogged.  Not messing around with that, myself.

....takes a bit more for rice, like about half that tiny packet that is in that 11$ jar.  Actually most "in the jar" spices at the supermart  are way overpriced compared to bulk ones (though Saffon is not one which is available in that form).

If I were not on an extremely tight fixed income I would consider it.
