Don't forget if you bought the Star 2.0 Stellar bundle, you get an extra 10% off the PA sales the first few days. I'm still trying to figure out if that's calculating right in my cart. Lots of Terradome stuff in there today!
I was also a bit disappointed to see the 65% had turned into 60% (and even this is only after buying a new release). 60% is pretty much the standard discount on a flash sale these days, and with these, normally no other purchase is needed.
I see they fixed the banner now!

(I've stopped downloading free textures for products I don't already have. My hopes that the original product(s) would someday be free have been dashed to bits. And there are so many new, "shiny objects," it's hard to justify buying the original, old product... Must. Have. New. Shinies!)
I buy the original outfits when I can get them dirt cheap if I like them. I like some of the older stuff, most especially the old props into which I can breathe new life. But, yeah, with all of the new shinies, it is hard to justify getting some of the old stuff. I'm a little more selective these days about what I add to my library. Still, free is still nice so I'll get it. At some point, the required product might find it's way into my library, too.
Same here, I have everything except for one texture for an outfit I don't own and the texture is not even to my taste, so if I ever did get the outfit I'd make my own texture and wouldn't even use it... I wish they would add new freebies, it seems they keep recycling the same ones. I'm fine with older things, I still use V4 in Poser and clothes can work with autofit, but I already have all the older things...
Today is the first day. Today's new will be tomorrow's still new. :)
Today is the first day of the PA sale so there aren't any "Still New" items yet. I suspect that tomorrow the items that are new today will be in the still new section
Something bugging me about today's sale. Merrick and MynX were both released by the same artist today, with some nice battle-damaged textures. Yet Merrick costs more than his female counterpart. This has me a bit annoyed.
He has 1 fewer eye colours, 5 fewer face texture options, and 1 fewer Anatomical Elements textures (what no wounded pe--) but 3 more textures overall ... don't males have the same material zones as females? How does that work?
I'm guessing it's just QA but he doesn't have the partial presets listed either.
I got 65 of the teradome iirc; 60 of the rest.
He actually has two anatomical elements to her one, and the second complete skin took a lot longer to put together, since I had to go back and do it three times. What partial presets are you talking about?
That was actually sorted out yesterday. If you are still seeing 65% on the rolling banner then you will need to do a hard refresh.

I hadn't even noticed as, honestly, I barely looked at the girl. He went straight into the cart, though. Awesome looking guy! @gypsyangel has been really rockin' the guys lately! Every single one has been outstanding!

So I decided to do a little exercise. Went through all 257 items in my wishlist, and looked at what I would actually be willing to pay for each of them, and how that translated into a % off sale. Then I compared how many of them would have to get to 80% off their current price for me to buy them. Not surprisingly, the older an object was the more likely it had to hit the 80% off for me to buy it. After subtracting out duplicate bundles, it turns out that almost half my wishlist would need to get to that 80% off price point before I'd buy it.(Though this was a jump from 70%, so maybe 75% would suffice for some). On the other hand, aside from bundles (which are weird to evaluate) there's only 2 items on the list that even 80% off would be insufficient to convince me to buy. Maybe someone can convince me that those two are worth more than $10.
The reasoning for all this was to help me in the upcoming sales to determine just how many hoops I'm willing to jump through to get a given item. Since we're (in theory) about to get some pretty strong sales, it might be worth evaluating your own lists.
I think the highest discount we are going to get is 75% off...
@gypsyangel What exactly is survivor anatomical elements? Or do I really want to know LOL... Anyway, the character looks great. I've never actually used anatomical elements and have no idea how detailed they are, but if it looks anything like her skin injuries, yikes!
Another character released today (http://www.daz3d.com/scion-for-genesis-3-male) specifically says "a liquid latex like make up design option (with matching anatomical element materials to match)" and after seeing how cool the latex makeup looks I am so curious!

Actually, it's just matched to the skin. There wasn't a whole lot of "dirt" detail in the groin area, because it's not normally open to the elements---but there was enough that it would cause a weird seam if they (torso and an.) weren't matched. So, Merrick actually has 4 anatomical elements---circ and not, in both normal skin and survivor skin.
Yeah, he's got both. I didn't finish filling it out. My bad.
He's actually got four---2 in regular skin and 2 in survival skin. :)
Wow, got a great deal on Mynx, Merrick and Ageera between today's sales and the extra 10% from the Star Stellar Bundle purchase a few days ago. Picked up all three characters for $20! Nice! I believe today is the last day for that extra 10%. It gave me great discounts on all the TerraDome stuff the other day. Totally broke now, with lots of new toys! Woohoo!
Ah, my plan worked. Got Mynx yesterday to trigger the sales then, and saved Merrick for today to trigger today's catalog sale, as there's nothing new I want today. Course, I don't get the "Buy two" part this way, so it's probably a wash.
That blue Nefertiti promo is really pretty, but I have no clue what I'd do with it.
