If anyone has time this afternoon, can they post some pictures of Star 2 making faces? She looks great with her mouth closed, but I need to see if she looks equally adorable while frowning, yelling, smirking, crying, etc.

Here are a few random expressions on Star 2.0 "out of the box".

WOW!  I'm loving these Star 2.0 creations!  makeupdiva, outrider42, Ivy, ItsTraveler - those are just fantastic creations for the new Star!

I'm so glad that she was made, now I have to actually get the "Fit them all" clone for Genesis 3 Female, or she's going to have the 'Ken Doll' Syndrome on my PC.  (I have very few Gen 3 Female clothing items, and I don't have the clone for her yet.

PS: I'm not sure if this is going to post in a higher resolution.  I'm following another forum post here for instructions on how to do this on DAZ -- to see if I can get this post at a larger size from the thumbnail view.  If I fail following directions, just chalk it up to my sleep-deprived brain.  THX!

    Star 2.0 YAY

Damn. That makes me want to get the product; sadly I don't have those skills.

    Looks awesome.

Still confused about the clone thing... If I buy Star 2 and Classic Star clothes, will the Classic Star clothes fit regular G3/V7/Girl 7, etc...or just Star 2?  And has anyone tried manually fitting and parenting Classic Star hair to Star 2? Thanks.

Yep, clothes for the original Star fit onto G3F.

And loading in the Original Star hair without Star 2.0 selected then moving it onto the head and parenting it to the head works well. :) You don't get the hair distortions that come with autofiting the hair.

Great, thanks! All the Star Classic clothes and hair are under $1.00 now with the RDNA sale, so I'm scooping a bunch up! The only thing I noticed is the classic hair doesn't have morphs, but it seems the new hair does. Still trying to decide about the bundle which I really can't afford... I mostly just want Star and VYK's character for her... But there are advantages to the bundle. But it's so expensive... Still playing cart roulette...

I noticed that new Star had a face morph for the Creme Brulee outfit, so since I grabbed that yesterday along with the bundle (but before the RDNA sale started. Thanks Daz. Again -__-) here's new Star with her old Creme Brulee hair and outfit.

That's smart! :D I ended up just getting the Base figure - not one of the bundles. I figured I had enough clothes I could use for Star 2.0 since she can wear anything that G3F can wear - including G2F clothes (and if you have the clones, even V4 clothes). :)

A quick render - can't remember what I changed, as I was just experimenting.

That outfit autofit really well, even the shoes!! Don't suppose you have the "Ruby Red" outfit for original star that you could test out the autofit?

The hair, collar, and flower are parented since autofit wasn't ideal for them. The dress and shoes are autofit with zero adjustments though.

I don't have any other of her outfits aside from the default :( If I'd have known there was going to be an RDNA sale the day after the stellar bundle offer, I would have waited and bought more of them :(

I want Star 2.0 today but I have to wait until I can put my money on my card next week and there is a three dollar reload fee for it.   Ugghh.  I have 41 dollars for fun money (rest goes to bills)  which would leave me 38 dollars max to spend until next week.   Hmmmm

What about original poses? I don't suppose they work? There are some awesome ones that I'd love to use with Star 2.

There are a couple of G2F to G3F Pose Converter addons. I imagine they'd work (though I can't guarantee it so ask someone who knows for sure~)

If you're buying a Star 2 bundle today, make sure to check out ALL the Runtime DNA sale items. The discount stacks. I got LLF Baby Unicorn and Unicorn Youth for $4 each.  Sugar for Star outfit was $1.80. I think this is the 3rd character I've bought it for, but it's so detailed, it just doesn't auto-fit nice. And I love that outfit.  With all the RDNA items, my cart total discount was 83% off, 29 items. Well, the Starter bundle has 3 more... ( oh - and if you buy the Stellar bundle, the discount even bigger.)

Ix, now that you mention, it I think I bought a pose converter for G4 to Genesis. I can look at that too . Not sure any of them are going to help because I think  Star is an independent, separate figure .  Oh well I can always include Star 1 in my renders when there are original poses that I want to use.

    Off to to start downloading...

I love the original Star figure, and if I get Star 2.0 then I plan to "recreate" my Sailor Starbrights so they can make full use of my G3F arsenal (especially poses and expressions).

    My main concerns:

    • Has anyone tried fitting the origial Jazz hair to Star 2.0?

    • Any thoughts on auto-fit for Sailor Suit for Star (especially in the gloves and heels)?

So, shoes of the first star fits on this one without feet bending?

Yup great discounts today on Star 1 items if you're buying the Stellar bundle. If you bought the Stellar bundle yesterday (like me) you don't get that extra benefit. I knew I should have waited, and after a few hours went "eh if they add an orange banner I can just send in a ticket" but that sale makes calculations about how I would have shopped too complicated. So now I'm super happy with Star 2.0 and super unhappy at Daz.

I can't guarantee any specific converters will work, but I do know that you can apply Star/Cookie/V4/Genesis/G2 poses to each other - it's only G3 that broke the system. Try it out with some other figures.

I am really loving how the autofit works for star2 .. and all the skin options and eyes colors are endless I can play with star forever and not get all the combinations, Little fox and Traveler have really out done them self, thank you guys .  I'm a huge anime fan but I never was a big fan of Genesis3.  Star has changed that... My new favorite character.

Can anybody tell me how to get the Anime Eyes to be less blindingly white in Iray renders? I went through and swapped out materials.... (Having an old and new rendering engine makes things very confusing when you're a newbie interested in anime... Star 2.0 showed up about two weeks into my journey... you would not believe how long it took me to realize that the reason none of the cell-shading techniques I was trying worked was because the renderer was set to Iray... that said, I do like Iray as I experiment with looks and styles.)

Also, or alternately, is there any way to get the Anime Eyes to show up on the boys? I have various cross-figure clone things but I couldn't get it to work. Anime boy eyes are stylistically pretty different from girl eyes (at least that kind of guy), but I'd like to experiment more...

    First quick test render.

I bought a number of these and really like the anime look I've been able to get by blending her with some of the more standard G3 models. One problem I have had, however, is that the add-on eyes distort the geometry of other head items (most notably glasses). Hopefully there will be a patch for this. I would also love to see a wider range of anime style hairs (with actual updates to earlier Star hairs as they don't have much in the way of morph controls). Some more realistic Iray shaders for these would also be welcome.

I haven't had a chance to play around today, but Star's eye's are sort of hollow, with lenses placed over them. You could try changing the surface settings on the lens cap.

I bought the original Star not so long ago but I couldn't resist genesis 3 Star with all the morphing possibilities and the clothes and hairs avaliable.

Here is my first render, it's Retro Heroine by Fredel (from Renderosity) with 50 % of Star's body and body propotions, and 30 % of Stars head and 15% of The Girl 7s head.

The outfit is  Retro Heroine outfit (a freebie) by Fredel.

I used DG Toon Style Hair Shaders for the hair :)
