Do you have tooltips turned off? If not you shold see a larger version of the thumbnail in the tooltip that opens while hovering, presumably with some instructions.

Found it, in Preferences. Turned it on and made no difference. Hovering does nothing. I'm using 4.9 btw. (Thanks for the suggestion though.) Anyone got it to work?

Okay so all I had to do was put the cursor over the little hint file and this popped up

Dang it, won't work for me. Are you in 4.9 studio?

And what exactly does that hint mean, I had the option to load Stella when Genesis 3 Females>Characters in Content Library is used,  or load Star 2 then load the Stella morphs, is this saying load Star, do any morphs, then load Stella morphs?

I believe it saying that Stella morph works best when loaded on the Star2.0 ,rather then Genesis3F with Star dialed in ........ but the morph works fine for me and yes I am using DAZ 4.9.2.70

    DivaMakeup what outfit is that??

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Hair ($1.99 for PC+ members): http://www.daz3d.com/wild-orchid-hair

The leaf outfit is actually a freebie texture for the Morphing Fantasy Dress. The texture can be downloaded here: http://www.sharecg.com/v/72006/

I bought the original Star not so long ago but I couldn't resist genesis 3 Star with all the morphing possibilities and the clothes and hairs avaliable.

Here is my first render, it's Retro Heroine by Fredel (from Renderosity) with 50 % of Star's body and body propotions, and 30 % of Stars head and 15% of The Girl 7s head.

The outfit is  Retro Heroine outfit (a freebie) by Fredel.

I used DG Toon Style Hair Shaders for the hair :)

As a long time fan of the TR franchise, I love this!

Wow, that really does look like OG TR updated. Impressive.

May I ask what hair that is?

It isn't an anime thread until you've got catgirls!  Since others have already shown how Aiko 7 and Star mix, here's Star mixed with that other G3F anime-style character, EdArt3d's Mangastic Satsuki (from Rendo).  (Yes, there's also AnimeDoll for G3F, but since the head and eyes for that are geografts, there's little point in trying that mix.)  For this render the shape is 50% Star and 50% Mangastic Satsuki, with Statsuki's base textures on everything except the eyes; and they mesh pretty darn well.  This was also my first chance to try out the new iray upgrade of Destiny Garden's Toon Hair shaders and they look fantastic. :)

    @carrie58  You're welcome. :)

@Cybersox13 Adorable cat girl! I love how everything has a purplish tint except her eyes - it really makes the green of her eyes stand out. Wonderful work! :D

    That is terrifyingly realistic.

But fantastically cool. If you don't mind sharing, which characters did you combine?

The body is 100% Star 2.0

The head is a combination of Teen Josie and Toon Josie Slim (both 36%), Aiko 16%, Anime Head 100%, and scaled the head up and neck down a bit.

I used the skin from the Vanessa character.

Anime Head for Genesis 3 is a freebie morph (with a dial) that you can find on ShareCG.

    Vanessa is this one:  http://www.daz3d.com/fwsa-vanessa-hd-for-victoria-7-and-her-jewelry

Excellent, thanks! I didn't know there was a Toon Josie...was that a typo or is there a morph for the Teen Josie character that creates a toon version?

Sorry!  I meant to type teen josie.  I don't think there is a toon josie, that was just a typo.

Well, my wallet is crying now, but I picked up Star 2.0 :)

I'm (mostly) kidding about the wallet part, but I'm glad that I picked up these items. If the autofit clone works well, then I just gained a *lot* of useful items for G3F too.

Another test of sorts - I tend to heavily blend elements of various characters and morph packages together, so I tried it here, including Star 2.0, Tween Julie 7, Girl 7, and Teen Josie 7, and others (full details on DA).  Interestingly, adding the SSS options from another character on Star 2.0's skin worked beautifully, which surprised me.

Yes, I tried Jazz hair, but you have to manually fit it and parent it to her head, not autofit or it goes wonky. Just realized there are no morphs though, can't even move the tails, (unless it's been updated--the version I have was comped when I was doing promotional renders with Artistic License.) Or maybe there were morphs in Poser? Can't remember. This is my first time trying it in DS.... I can continue to use old Star in Poser, so I'm scooping up a bunch of clothes that are now like 30 cents!

As long as you don't autofit Jazz hair (as you said, manually move it and parent it to Star 2.0), you can move the tails in DS.  The hair has rPonytail and lPonytail parts that can be bent, twisted, and moved side-side with the corresponding dials.

Where? I couldn't find them... I looked everywhere in parameters....

They're here.  Make sure you have the correct ponytail part selected, but they all have the same movement dials.

@Gigi_7 @pds Line Render 9000 (or Lr9k) is a group of camera's that come with an autorender script enabling you to set up a number of render passes (i.e. base image/additional shadowing/outlines, many options for outlines!) and composite within Daz Studio. It was a lot of fun to beta test and should be available in the not too distant future for public consumption.

I ran a subtle Gaussian blur with post work on that original image which I think has given an even more anime esque feel to the image:

Yep, no worries, I kinda thought as much, though I wasn't clear on how you could combine regular Teen Josie head with slim version of her head. Do you mean you started with her regular head at 36% and then added 36% slimming or is there a separate Teen Josie head slimming morph? Regardless, you have a great eye for creating multi-character mixes. I hope you share more!

Holy s***! That is awesome! And your lighting is seriously on point. I could immediately envision an entire story around your character. Well done, HoMart! Is geografting kind of like kit-bashing body parts from other characters onto your custom character? Is there something unique to G3F that permits this, or did you mean that now that Star 2 is based on G3F that you have a library of other cool characters to grab body parts from? I've only heard of geografting in the context of adding on horns, tails, wings, etc., but never knew if those items (or the base figure to which they were added) required anything special to make it work.

    Thanks,

the light is just 3 colored meshlights and a white plane obove the scene.

The torsopart, arms, legs and neckpart used in my image work the same as the horns and tails you mentioned.

These geografted items replace parts of the original body, so they only work with the mesh they are created for.

Now that STAR! 2.0 is based on G3F I hope that all grafted parts I have for G3F (and future ones) also will work on STAR! :D

@Parris - any chance to get a "BotArmor for G3F" somewhere in near future?

This STAR!Bot was my first "Test" - and these parts worked well.

Ah, thanks!!! I never would have thought to look there! I was just looking under the hair model as a whole thinking there would be dials for the tails or other morphs. This is great! All the original Star hair should work on Star 2 with parenting :) I'm betting Cookie hair may work the same way. Bummed the RDNA sale is already over, I purchased a bunch yesterday but had more in my cart for a second round and was going to get more today!
