    happy birthday!

Thank you! (Did I forget thank anyone?)

    Yeah, you did. smiley

No, problem.  Wow, you have the same birthday as my mother!  I can't figure out if she's a Leo or Virgo.

    Sorry. And Virgo.

I think my mama is a Leo, on the edge.  That woman worries me.

But it's her birthday, so I better shape up. surprise

my smartphone stays home plugged into the wall.
my trusty old motorola flip phone from 2008, battery lasts 4-5 days.
my cheap lil mp3 player normally goes a week between charges. i use it 2 hours a day on my bus travels.  never took this long to charge before. charging 5 hours now. startin to worry. i don't see amy flap thingies to open to change the battery on this thing, i think once it die/dies, it's disposable.

Whew. laugh  Well, we never had sheep, but we did have cows, hogs, chickens, goats, and horses.  I think that's all.  One wild pig, too, I believe, who wandered in from the swamp.

As far as I know, the male animals never courted the females.  They just...well, when the urge hit, that was all she wrote for the female. blush  I don't mean the female died, but the battle was usually rather short.

A ram is a guy sheep, not neutered, and I think a female is a ewe.

    I hope your mp3 player revives. :-)

Pron?  Or do I want to know?  Never mind, I'll google.

I googled "is there a female ram," just because I couldn't help it, and saw...well, let's don't talk about it, but I saw worse when I was a kid.

That sounds like a corrupt file - sometimes it seems to happen with compression on, mostly in writing the data associated with a plug-in in my limited experience (but not always the same plug-in). Please do make a bug report, attaching the log and the scene file.

I've been working with Crissie on this.  I would have attached the .duf file but it's 96Mb and won't go through in an email.  It's been suggested that it could be that a file was downloaded through Connect that was in the scene that had originally been downloaded through DIM and now the pointers are wrong.

I did find it odd that there were about 30 items in Connect that said they were available for download after I upgraded when DIM had said earlier in the day that there was nothing.  A number of those downloads were morph packs for G2M/F and G3M/F, any of which may be causing the problem as my characters are all morphed to one degree or another.

I guess we'll see.  I'm curious if I could open the .duf in some program and go through it line by line to see if I could find where the marker is missing compared to other asset pointers.  I tried opening a .duf in Notepad++ and whoa boy that was not going to work for me!!  haha

The .duf file should open in a text editor, if it is not compressed. if it is compressed you will need to uncompress it, using the batch Convert pane in DS or an archive tool such as 7Zip.

I grabbed a .duf from a quick scene I did up on my work machine done in v4.9 and opened it up in 7zip.  Interesting stuff.  I wonder if it would be hard to find the single missing comma or ] it's looking for in my broken scene?  It's only 96Mb of text... how long could that possibly take?!?  haha

Poor Crissie... she always ends up dealing with me... but she's great!  Even when I'm making no sense because I'm overtired.  laugh

If you have a programming editor that can handle JSON it should be pretty easy to find mismatched brackets.

Tell me more.  This could be what saves me from having to redo the scene from scratch (man I don't want to have to do that!!).

    Edit:  something like this?   http://www.jsoneditoronline.org/
