They still make them, I see them when shopping sometimes.  I try to avoid candy bars, but I get a Mounds bar often when I go to the market.  And WalMart* has King Size Zero bars!  So when I go there, which isn't every week, I'll get that.

...well just got home. Three different people bought me a Whiskey sour which at the pub I was at is a signature drink.which uses not only high quality whiskey but egg whites (an old pre prohibition recipe).  Yeah, pretty much drunkapated

Now, if I could just whittle down that $100/month fee for internet service.....

You can get a decent wi-fi antenna for less than $20.00. At least one of your neighbors will be using the factory password on their router.

I thought I lost my android tablet yesterday.  I remember having it at the library so I called the library three different times.  They could not find it.  I called the company I got it from and told them that I lost my tablet.  They said it would be fifty dollars to replace it if I file a claim.  I have not done that as I was unsure about spending fifty dollars on it.   I went to work today and tried to get my mind off of it.  I got a cory and two platies after work and introduced them to their new friends when I got home.  I checked to make sure that the platies were both female and figured out one of them was not female.  I decided to call my mum.    When she answered she asked if I was the one missing a tablet.   She found it at her house upstairs.  I only looked downstairs for it yesterday when I visited her.  I am so thankful that I did not spend that fifty dollars.

I left my laptop at my favorite restaurant once. Called when I got home, the waitress had found it and given it to the manager. Next time I went there I added $20.00 to my usual tip.

That's what I like about my iPad: "Find my iPad" has saved my bacon on so many occasions yes (of course if I stopped to think, "How come Apple knows where my iPad is?" and the implications of that, but hey, it found my iPad, and it's found my phone multiple times)

I got a tank with platys and swordtails and a corydora.  The corydora's name is Cory.  Cory needs some more corydora friends but I have enough platies and swordtails for now, I think.   I told them not to breed as I do not want them to breed.   So far the male Swordtail is busy looking at his reflection on the side of the tank.  Hopefully the male platies will also follow my new rule and not try to mate with my female platies or my female swordtail.    if they continue to listen to me, this will work, unless one of the girls is already pregnant. or maybe more of them are already pregnant.  Then I am in trouble and would need to upgrade my tank.

plaint - ouchies in the leg.  considering going to a doctor. even though my hsa account is no where near the 2grand deductable.

insurance today is so useless/worthless.  vaguely remember co-pays and HMOs.  HMO care wasn't so reliable iirc.
remembers Mayor Ed Koch saying he didn't go to HMO doctor for anything serious.

world is changed.   newspapers are changed. used to be like serious stuff, now they like sensationalize headlines ridiculous stories.  and dummied down. be interesting to compare a 6th grade reading level from 50 years ago to a 6th grade reading level today.

When I was little, kids around here would say "What fur?" instead of "What for?" (Why?).

My Mom and Dad would try to get me to stop pronouncing it "fur" by saying, "Cat fur to make kitten britches."

    Where is serpent?

Two weeks ago (June 28, this thread) he apparently misinterpreted something I said to someone else and got angry at me.  Haven't seen him since.  surprise

Windows update/installer is using 50% of the CPU.  I want to play with Bryce but Bryce is running slowly.  I'll need to wait until Windows Update finishes downloading some patches.

Ah Tjohn knows me well, old friends from back in another forum,   lol.

I have to admit I would not run anything else while Windoze was updating,  Whether it was Bryce or anything else.   I am sure that Windoze update is something that should be run when everthing else on the system is quiescent.
