...yeah a little down and out since the announcement on Tuesday. Been a long tough ride, but in some ways relieved it is over.  Maybe I can finally reduce my inbox activity.

Letsee 7 Kuna to the $ is sounding rather good right now.  Even if I took early SS retirement, life would still be better.

Morning, the dull chill greyness of the so-called English summer continues unabated. Wx man says heavy rain tomorrow too. Can you please stop throwing your old weather systems at us? Thanks.

We need some rain. All of our grass is brown. The thunderstorms keep dissipating once they get over us so the rain don't fall. All we been getting is the thunder and lightning.

Again, this particular area of the country (Southern Tier of western New York State) has proved to have avoided the nastiest of the weather woes.  We've had enough rain despite everyone around us either having floods or droughts. (It's the Great Lakes.  lake effect snow in the winter but also lake effect rains in the summer dry seasons.)  However Buffalo being on a level plain misses out on the rain that the hilly Southern Tier gets.  So, while Buffalo is complaining of drought, we're doing OK down here near Jamestown because the air has to rise a little to get over the hills.

I rented a movie and I thought I still had time to watch it but I do not.   It is not showing on VUDU where I rented.  I wasted that money.

...well actually been a surprisingly normal July so far from what I was expecting, 70 and 80s for the most part (pretty much spot on normal for here).  August is still to come though.  Big heat wave in the plains and lower Midwest.and will get worse in the next week.

However the "blob" (an area of warmer than normal water) as it is called has resurfaced in the gulf of Alaska.  Farthest advanced forecast for here shows upper 80s ten days form now so we may be heading into the easy bake oven as well. Some models are predicting a major coast to coast heatwave may be in store.

    ...stay tuned.
