Nice work with the Forrestal sets! Great lighting and color - I'm looking forward to seeing the fully-rendered versions.

Now that ST:R is starting to roll, I'm spending some time with my old sets - need to finish them up, polish them up. I dragged out the Rec room, for which the main works files were corrupted, but I've got it pretty much recovered from other sources.

Excellent! BTW, where did the chairs with the hole come from? They'd be just right for some of my characters with tails.

  • PtropePtrope Posts: 696

I modified those from my TOS Chair, specifically for tail-bearing officers ;). http://www.sharecg.com/v/83109/view/11/Poser/TOS-Tailback-Chair

Guess what; I already downloaded the thing six months ago...

Ah well, now I have it installed at last and properly converted to D|S files, along with the Bridge set I converted last week. No more kinks in the tail for those long Bridge shifts.

That looks great. Love what you did with the corridors around it.

Looks good. I see that Corbusier is alive and well in the 23rd century...

Thanks! With all of my sets, I like to have something outside the doors so that if the image needs to have one open, there's something outside, to extend the reality. It's not canon, but it basically creates 3 full, unique sets. I'm thinking about adding some doors to the outer walls, and one of those insets with the ladder and floor-to-ceiling screen divider, to make the corridors look more like they're in the ship and not just long blank walls wink.

I think I'm getting excited for the new movie more than the new TV show that I will not be able to watch...

To everything (toon, toon, toon) there is a season (toon, toon, toon) ... and a time to every poser under heaven.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone make 'TOS Greeblies?' Just a collection of wall detail and set decorations as seen in the show? If not, I think I see a little side project (since I need to have them on this rec room set anyway) ... ;)

I won't turn down a few extra greeblies.  Room fillers are great to have!

Some updates and Pre Production Renders. Also working on trying to find a good mix between ENT/Axanar/TOS for the screens.

Disney and Star Trek? After what they did to Marvel and Star Wars.  Realy?  How can the fanchise go wrong?

Star Trek needs to it be bought out from under CBS and Parmount and united under 'The Ears'.

But that is just my opinion.

laugh Well, that was just for a TrekBBS art challenge - 'what if Trek were produced by someone else' or some such (I don't even remember the exact challenge now - man, I'm old!)

I used Nvent 3D's Galactic Uniform top for G2F and his Trailblazer uniform for G2M for a "cadet" uniform of sorts.

I am so looking forward to this. I know some people don't like the designs from the reboot universe, but I think they're awesome and I love your work :) yes

I like the design myself. Always looking for new sets for my characters. Just not too keen on the shiny floors LOL
