I just went back and looked at the store page for this outfit and it's supposed to have a "Dyson Core Installer". How is that supposed to work? Is that a direct to Poser set-up? Have I been wasting the last two days?
I hope everyone is having a good Memorial Day. Here are some new images. I have been working on redesigning and rewriting some stuff for Forrestal.
No, DSON is the Daz Studio format - it need the Poser Companion Files (or the Dimension3D import by browser script) for the DSON Importer (the plug-in for bringing DS format DSON files into Poser) to handle it.
I have Dyson installed. I have Genesis and Gen2 and 3 essentials installed. So why can't I load the outfit from my Runtime?
Because it lacks PoserCFs - those are the files that make items appear in the poser library (a Poser file that runs a Python file that sends the .duf (DSON) filename to the importer). You could try using Dimension3D's script http://d3d.sesseler.de/index.php?software=poserpython&product=dson_loader though it's possible that the items simply won't work via the DSON Importer in Poser.
But I installed the CF files- 14812_GenesisStarterEssentialsPoserCF_1.13dpc and both Gen and Gen 2 work. I installed the essential starter files for G3, but I didn't see any CF zip. Is there one?
I guess I wasted my time and money. I went back and checked and there is no G3 CF zip. So I guess I'll take these files out and throw Daz out and forget about it.
Something I have been messing with trying to come up with a unique look for a part of Forrestal. Academy Instructor Lt. James T. Kirk
Looks good.
yeah rewriting and reworking can be a pain. Glad to see you're still working on this. :)
Excellent work there, great style, great figures, and great renders too. Looking forward to more, and let me know if I can help. :)
I love the TMP uniforms!
In my quest to make Forrestal more like how I have envisioned it, I did a new poster for it just to get some ideas flowing.
Worked a tad more on TMP style uniform for G2M.
Looking real good.
I am so looking forward to this.
Thanks. I keep trying to get the shoulders right (the white is not supposed to go over the shoulder, getting that right is a pain) and I dorked up the collar trying to fix something on it. But I'm done for tonight anyway. Here's where it stands.
Looks great!
Been working more with Nvent3D costumes and some of the Iray shaders and a Cage esque version of the bridge
Definitely has that Cage feel to it, just a bit better lit.
Some updates. The F.I.D. 2258-2268, Working on the monitors for the 2258 version of the F.I.D. Bridge. I wanna use both a mix of ENT era screens and TOS. Plus a shot of the Transporter and Engineering.
Just finishing the Beta testing of the new Yamato bridge for Studio. A secret 4th texture has been added to the set and I ahve to say it is my favorite of the 4 colors set colors that will be offered but I can't reveal what it is yet. Here is an image of my Andorian Lt. Tabitha on the bridge of the Yamato with the Starfleet texture.
Nice. Can't wait to play with this one.
That image used the lighting set that comes with the set and there is a second lighting set that comes with it as well. I am sure you are going to really enjoy it
Definitely. Need to get back to working on my sets for the first story so I can get to using the Yamato bridge in the later ones ;)
Interesting progression with refits to the Forrestal. I like the mixing of the screens you have going on.
Really nice! I love the pilot color scheme on those sets and you did a great job with the screens.
Looks better than the original but I suppose the goal is to make it look equally bad!
The Forrestal Briefing Room
Just a minor update. a Hint of things to come...
